OMG-P6, thank you so much for this video. I moved to the suburbs of Baltimore in 1970 at the age of 10 and moved to Florida in 1995. I’ve been to every single place you mentioned & went to except for Chaps. But back then, our local Volunteer Fire Department had there own pit beef for sale. I miss pit beef, blue crabs, the inner harbor, just everything except the cold! I left before the Ravens came but my son & I are die hard Ravens fans. I saw the Orioles (O’s) play when Brooks Robinson & Jim Palmer played & even Cal Ripken. I still consider myself a B-more Gal at the age of 63. Thanks for taking me home again! I can also still see the Domino logo in red lights and Proctor & Gamble was there, too. You gave me a gift of my youth today, thanks so much!❤
Ok you were in my city. And yes I ride train every week to go to DC to volunteer at the National Air and Space Museum. I was unaware that the President was scheduled to come to Baltimore. Well after I finished at doctor appointment, lo and behold I came outside and was riding my trike. There were police and we could not cross the street. Some folks were there that had been in Walgreens direct behind us. So I got to see the presidential motorcade. And when I found out about the tunnel I was quite excited. Every week I go 2 times through that same tunnel on board a MARC commuter train. So now I've got a neat story to tell. BTW if you're visiting Air and space museum on a Friday afternoon mist likely you will see me at Welcome Desk. I oft watch your videos you do good with that.
William Fell emigrated from my home town (Lancaster, Lancashire UK) in 1730 to join his brother. Always nice to see these links in history over the pond.
Actually those ships belong to MARAD, and activated they come under MSC. You can distinguish them by the stripes painted on their stacks. They are always civilian crewed
We need this upgrade. Our trains provide so much for our infrastructure and transportation for our whole country. You showed some of our lovely city. Hope the new development of the inter harbor will bring it back to its glory days in the 80's and 90's.
I wish I would have known you were coming to town.... the Frederick Douglas Tunnel deserved a trip to "Douglas Place".... the untold part of his story. Also unmentioned is that the old tunnel was built during the "Reconstruction Period" of the Civil War.
Loved the tour! I've been to DC many times. My last trip I went to Baltimore and loved it! The Aquarium was awesome but the best part for me was the Bay area. The cobblestone, the shops and restaurants. Happened to still be there when dark set in and the nightlife was amazing. People playing music and singing for money. All the boats. The atmosphere was so laid back and happiness filled the air. I stayed for hours and didn't want to leave. If I had to live in that area I would be down on the Bay every night. Thank you P6. You brought back so many wonderful memories for me!
I was at the aquarium back in 2011. We also went to museums and one was at a college. Pretty cool little 3 day getaway with my daughter when she was 10. We live about 2.5 hours from Baltimore.
I enjoyed the showing us around of Baltimore here and showing the opening ceremony of the construction project for trains and the new train bridge. Baltimore looks like a very European looking city reminding me of places such as parts of London in UK and St. Petersburg Russia. Baltimore being by the bay and Ocean here adds to the London UK and St. Petersburg Russia look I feel as well alongside Baltimore's cobblestone street as well. Seeing videos of places such as London and St. Petersburg and comparing this video to those make things look very similar to those videos, I feel and enjoy that very much.

Man I loved that show Homicide Life on the Street - used to go up to Fell's Point almost every weekend just to see the set when the show was still running. The bar across the street from the Police HQ building was also used for filming many times, it was the bar where all the detectives would hang out on their breaks. I remember for one special episode the detectives tracked down a fugitive to DC and they filmed on location in DC for that one episode. Do the stores around Fells Point still sell Homicide merch? Gotta get back up there one of these days.
Glad i found your channel i love the Architecture of the buildings in America especially in Washington DC didnt expect you right there and see Biden at this speech great work cant wait to see more. From 🇨🇦
I'm from SE GA. Once I was riding through Baltimore and decided to catch a baseball game. I stopped to buy a ticket and then found a light rail stop to get me there. I really enjoyed the game.
Thanks Andrew for this video, it was so well filmed. It is always exciting to be able to participate again to some kind of ceremony like this, and I liked to hear the sound of the trains. I can imagine the hours that must take to put together a video. Have a great rest of your day.
That was cool seeing around a bit of Baltimore. All the history back east is so amazing and the people that live there do no even appreciate it. Shame that parts of town are now vacant. The city needs to invest and give instinctive to keep people there. Glad this country is trying to rebuild industry. We have a lot of hard working people with the skills. Wish we had more investment into bringing back rail service here in TX. Our towns are so far apart that we need the rail system to work better between the cities not just in the cities. I was surprised to see so many cameramen show up for the event. That sandwich looked sooo good.
Really a wonderful tour...armchair travel is delightful...lol about sleepless in Seattle...for a west coast and inner mountain west gal...it is incredible how much that old town area does look like many of oldest downtown blocks to the water in Seattle.
Great video of Baltimore. It’s always been just a name and a place. Your camera gets very sharp detail. I think Jacqueline Kennedy gets credit for stopping the mad frenzy of tearing down historical and architecturally beautiful buildings which can’t be replaced. They were being replaced in a mad frenzy by ugly poorly designed drab structures of steel and concrete. She would have been helpful to still be around in DC the last 15 years or more.
One train project does not a decent President make- distraction to the maximum. Baltimore still the worst crime city in MD with decades long drug addict problem (not enough rehab services available). Corny music, Brandon team.
This rail will not take cars off the roads except if train tickets cheap enough to do Baltimore to DC round trip. JB yells when he speaks- sign of hearing loss. The USA has sent $100 mil. to Ukraine at cost of making us vulnerable w the nuk word used more & more.
I don't think you understand how nukes actually work, but the United States nuclear deterrent is effective and Russia isn't going to attack the United States with nukes.
For those not in the know: (From the American Legion) Records indicate that fringe was first used on the flag as early as 1835. It was not until 1895 that it was officially added to the national flag for all regiments of the Army. For civilian use, fringe is not required as an integral part of the flag, nor can its use be said to constitute an unauthorized addition to the design prescribed by statute. It is considered that fringe is used as an honorable enrichment only. (Military tradition) The courts have deemed without merit and frivolous, lawsuits that contend that the gold fringe adorning the flag conferred Admiralty/Maritime jurisdiction.
