I might have to make that for Christmas! Speaking of stoves.... would you share some tips as to how you keep your stoves and ovens so clean? They just all look brand new all the time!
Hi Aubrey - this would be wonderful for Christmas! As for the stoves - I just clean them after each and every use. I always make sure there's nothing spilled, splattered, etc. on them. I find that if I just take a couple of minutes and wipe them down after using, they always look clean. Sometimes the ovens need a little extra effort. Thanks!
Hi Kevin. I’ve made so many different kinds of cobbler, but never thought of using cranberries. My mom always made cranberry bread. That looked so delicious I’m going to have to try it. Thanks for a great recipe idea. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. 🦃
Hi Bonnie - hope you give it a try. I think any kind of cobbler is good, but this one is nice this time of year. Hope you and yours had a beautiful Thanksgiving! Thanks!!
Happy Thanksgiving, Kevin and MaryAnn, and Ralph, too. I noticed you weren't wearing your specs today,Kevin- what's up? This looks amazing- we carry a cranberry tart at TJ's that's very popular and delicious!
Hi KV - that cranberry tart sounds terrific! I forgot my glasses in the bathroom - I was washing up before we started recording and left them behind. I don't need them for close up work, so I just carried on without them. Thanks!
“YUM-O”! My mouth was watering watching this video. I could eat cranberries every day, that and cabbage 😉😉👏👍 Definitely making this. Happy Thanksgiving to you all!
Where are your glasses? Did you have Lasik surgery or did you break them in a bizarre cooking accident? 😅 That looks like a simple and delicious recipe for cranberry "gobbler!!" 😅😅 Happy Thanksgiving!!
Hi Greg!! Hope you and yours had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I was washing up before we started the episode and left my glasses behind in the bathroom, so when we began I just carried on without them. I don't need them for close up work. Stay warm! Thanks!
Kevin,I made a cranberry apple crisp yesterday and will soon put in the oven here in Rhode Island. I'm going to try your cobbler next time as it sounds delicious! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. P.S. I'm a big fan of almond extract too.
Love the recipe and love that bowl. It's Royal China's Currier and Ives pattern. My mom had the entire set and now my sister has it all. They made nice big coffee or soup mugs and that was dad's favorite coffee cup. I think much of it came from the grocery store as premiums. Some we found at flea markets. Granny even had the iced tea glasses. I'm going to miss your GE stove. My favorite brand. Mine just cooked Thanksgiving turkey, dressing and gravy like a champ today. I hope you and Marianne had a nice Thanksgiving.
Hi Jonathan! Sounds like you cooked up a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner! Yes, I have a full set of the Currier and Ives pattern. It was a very popular pattern. I always liked blue and white china patterns. Thanks!
@@cavalcadeoffood Thanks! It was very nice. I hope you had a great day, too. If you are interested in the Cookbook...just drop me a note. All my best to you and your!
@@vallis1469 Hi Valli! Yes, I'm still interested in the cookbooks. Please email me at cavalcadevintage@gmail.com and we will find a date! Thank you so much!! Hope you are warm and well!
So awesome! Another video where a "bib required" disclaimer could be in full force! Kevin, I could literally feel Mary-Ann's "test of patience" from behind the camera while she watched you eat this delicious cobbler with ice cream! 😂 Your videos are always EXTRA SPECIAL to me because of all of the vintage kitchen items, such as Pyrex. Great work! Fawn 😊
Hi Fawn! LOL Marianne's patience paid off, she enjoyed a nice bowl of cobbler and ice cream once we were done! Glad you like all the vintage things - I feel like they should be used and enjoyed. Thanks!
Happy Thanksgiving to Cavalcade of Food! I hope You, Ralph and Marianne have a wonderful day. I miss Ralph’s kind voice in the filming! I also spy a portable vintage KitchenAid superba dishwasher in the background that I would love to own one day. If you ever have a sale of appliances, I might drive up with a U-Haul from South Carolina! Thank you all for everything you do. It’s such a breath of fresh air when I see a new video from Cavalcade!
Hi John! I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving!! I have the built in Superba and a portable one, also. Great dishwashers - they do such a nice job. Thanks!
Hi Veronica - I believe I found this recipe from a booklet of things to make with cranberries. It wasn't really vintage, but I liked how easily the recipe came together. Thanks!
Hi Tom - I have a couple of different cameras - none of them new. Can't remember which one we used for this episode, probably the one without the steady cam feature. Thanks!
Never heard of this recipe before, but it sure did activate my salivary glands. Adding this to dessert list. Thanks Kevin & Mary Ann for taking the time to make this video. Hello to Ralph & Wally. Happy Thanksgiving & God bless.
You inspired me this morning Kevin!! I've got one of these in my oven right now! I'm only cooking for 2 today so I cut the recipe in half 🤞mine turns out as good as yours 😃
...update - this was SO GOOD! I wish I could attach a pic ~ delicious! Thank you for sharing this recipe - I was wondering what to do with that bag of cranberries I had
@thethriftyfawn It was fantastic!! :) I hadn't even planned on making this until I saw the video this morning- but I did have a bag of whole cranberries, (wondering what to do with it) - I don't naturally appreciate cranberries BUT - this was an exception ~ especially with a side of vanilla ice cream 😋 I'll for sure make it again
Happy Thanksgiving Kevin and MaryAnn! Thanks for the video. This is something I’m definitely going to try because I love cobbler and I love cranberries 😊
Suddenly, I want a cranberry cobbler. Off to the market for cranberries. Thank you for sharing, Kevin and Mer. Edit two days later: Okay, I made it, only with more cranberries, almond flour and Splenda, and half the almond extract. It is absolutely amazing. This will be on our holiday menu from now on.
Hi Susan - I will replace with another beautiful vintage stove - I have a collection of them and like to give each stove a chance to shine in the kitchen studio. Thanks!
I would never have thought of a cranberry cobbler -- it looks and sounds amazing! What do you think about the idea of grating some fresh ginger over the cranberries before adding the topping? Would I need to increase the amount of sugar?
I was just thinking that the stove exchange is long overdue. That looks good, but I don't like almond and I think the orange essence would be wonderful. I'm kind of amazed at how easy it seems to be?
Hi Kathleen - yes, you could but the texture will be different. The juice has been removed from the dehydrated ones, so you won't get the bursts of color and flavor like with the fresh ones.
Sounds delicious! Happy Thanksgiving to all of the Cavalcade of Food family!! Thanks for the video, Kevin and Mary Ann!!
Thanks, Nancy! I hope you and yours had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Great show love it❤️😊. All receipts great!!!

Happy Thanksgiving Kevin!
Thank you, Debra!!
That bowl. I grew up with that print as our daily dishware. I don't know what happened to the set. All that remains is half of the butter dish.
Hi nikkid! That is a Currier and Ives pattern bowl. It was a pretty popular pattern. Thanks!
Happy Thanksgiving, friends ❤️🦃

Why are you replacing that awesome, beautiful stove???
Hi Susan - I will replace with another beautiful vintage stove - I have a collection of them and like to give each stove a chance to shine in the kitchen studio. Thanks!
I would never have thought of a cranberry cobbler -- it looks and sounds amazing! What do you think about the idea of grating some fresh ginger over the cranberries before adding the topping? Would I need to increase the amount of sugar?
Duane - fresh ginger would be wonderful! I don't think I would increase the sugar...just let the ginger goodness come through. Thanks!
I was just thinking that the stove exchange is long overdue. That looks good, but I don't like almond and I think the orange essence would be wonderful. I'm kind of amazed at how easy it seems to be?
Hi Scooter! Yes, just leave the almond extract out or switch it for some orange zest/extract. Thanks!
Was that Kevin's identical twin brother or Kevin without his eyeglasses?
Hi PLK - yes!! That's the only way to tell us apart!
That looks delicious! And I am sure it smells delightful, too! I can't wait to make this one! :)
The smell of it baking is wonderful! Thanks!
I can’t believe how simple this recipe is! Gonna make it for sure. All I need is cranberries
Hi Tracee - this is a simple recipe, and really good, especially warm! Thanks!
I will be picking a bag of cranberry’s up at the stir and give this a try also!
Great! Hope you enjoy the cobbler, Tracy!
