The riots in Bangladesh were to force the dictatorial government to resign. They stayed in power for 16 long years by stealing votes and smuggled half of the country's economy abroad through corruption. And the common people were in economic trouble. The economic condition of Bangladesh was increasing but the government was not doing anything for the people of the country. They used to corrupt and smuggle most of the money due to which Bangladesh now remains a poor country. If they were not in power, Bangladesh would not have been in this condition. From July to August 5, the dictatorial government was deposed by the student movement and the head of the dictatorial government fled to India. He was accused of selling the country to India and that is what India wanted. They controlled everything in Bangladesh. They were trying to make Bangladesh a dependent country. They controlled the airspace of Bangladesh and they took all the money. And in terms of exports, Bangladesh was tied.
The unrest that is prevailing in Bangladesh now is that the friends of that dictatorship are doing these activities because they are ashamed of being defeated. Theft-robbery-robbery-attacking minorities so that the whole world sees that the previous government of Bangladesh was good, in fact they are mafia.
Bangladesh has now turned into an anti-Indian country, from which it is expected that Bangladesh will prosper economically after another 4-5 years. And the amount of corruption will also decrease because the political parties who are in power now have learned that if they are dictatorial, corrupt and irregular, they will also fall.

When we say one country is richer, it means GDP per Capita is larger, not the above total GDP PPP or Nominal.

You cannot be more wrong. I am a Singaporean, and my country is one of the top GDP per capita countries, above the US. Does it mean Singapore is a rich country? Nope, not even remotely close. Wealthy country? Yes, absolutely. On the global scale, we are only a small economic entity with more than enough money to live a cozy life and that's it. Let me draw you a picture, if hypothetically, the US government signed over the entire US military to Singapore. That would bankrupt us in no time just to maintain it. We don't have that kind of money.

Take India for example it's ranked second in Asia and top 10 in the world but its GDP per capital is even lower than Bangladesh. The gap between rich and poor is also an important indicator of a well managed country.
