Definitely lower that blade on cuts like that. Sure, the blade guard is there but its better to be as safe as possible. Letting stock rise up and down on the blade like that is likely to cause kick back, please use some kind of out-feed support. Lastly, the anti-kickback pawls on your guard should not be up that high. Are they on correctly or does Ryobi allow you to position them there? Looks like a decent saw. Not sure how I ended up here, I have a DeWalt table saw but figured I would watch.
These saws are garbage! Nothing is square and the whole thing is sloppy, very cheap build quality, and the worst part is that RYOBI won't sell you parts for it, you have to send the whole thing to a repair center for any little thing, save yourself a bunch of trouble and buy a better unit!
I bet they made this as a "throw away" type unit if it fails. I have liked it so far, but I am not needing super accurate cuts either. I am sure my neighbor that is a wood worker would hate all over it, but you buy what you need for the job you are doing. I didn't want a $5000 saw for a few fence pickets now and then.
This is a great little table saw. You can check out this product here: mavely.app.link/e/c9XC9O8joGb. Thanks for watching!
You can cut a 4 x 4 wooden post with this saw, you just have to flip the post after your first cut so that you can cut the backside of the first cut.
True. Thanks for the info.
It looks like that was the first cut that guy did in his life.
I know, right. That guy is such a noob. He didn't even drop the kick back bars down.
Isn't there a better dust collection system for this type of saw to where there is a lot less wood chips flying out of the saw and into the air?

Thank you for all the info. It's been a while since I used a table saw, and that was my fathers from years ago.
I bought mine to do 45° angle cuts. Still looking for a video to demo that feature. 🤪
I can try to video that next time I use it.
Just bought one of these, looks like a nice if basic saw
Why did your anti kick back dogs not drop down?
Just because I put them up and forgot to drop them back down again. Was my mistake.
Thanks for the video! What is the little black washer for?
Not sure which washer that is.
