Pick up power. Intake and exhaust pick up much more than they do on a n/a setup. Once you tune it you will see most of the gains will be on the top end and under the curve. 💪🏾

@@Mod2Fame hellcats can make up to around 900whp and still be very reliable. I actually know a guy that daily drives his over 1000whp hellcat with zero issues

Best mod for most cars are long tube headers, intake, and a tune. That's a great bolt on basic setup. You really need to get your car tuned if you change the intake or major exhaust mods (headers, remove cats, etc). My Camaro SS picked up 45 rwhp with long tubes, intake, and tune.
The hellcat actually has great flowing shorty headers stock.

I owned a Benz E55 which was a 5.4 supercharged V8. Though you may not GAIN power, do you lose power through heat soak making the need for heat extraction pretty important. (My E55 was notorious for that and would go from 525whp to 430whp on the dyno by the 4th pull)
The Driven Path I read that it won’t hurt the hellcat challengers but will on the hellcat chargers.

In my opinion, for a high horse power engine, or a basic engine with higher than average compression, yes an intake and exhaust will open up the engine and gain power.
But for a basic engine in an everyday average car, no it can actually hurt performance, losing bottom end torque and slow down acceleration.

Back in the day you wanted a car with 700HP! What year were you thinking that?! Supercars back in the day didn't even have 700 horses... Back in the day I wanted a '87-'92 Toyota Cressida with some 15" BBS RS wheels! As obtainable as that was back then, it just never happened, because my money was funny, and my credit couldn't get it! LOL.
A cold air intake forces the engine to run in a way it was not designed or tested to run. That is the reason why cold air intakes void warrantees in many cases.
My warranties are worth their weight in gold.

joe demasi you’re correct. The only mods the dealer told me that I can get away with are: an intake and catback exhaust mods.
First time I ever heard this "A cold air intake forces the engine to run in a way it was not designed or tested to run" and I've been around the automobile industry for years. I worked for Chrysler back in the 70's, also with a degree in Automotive Mechanics.
The slightly increased airflow offered by CAI are usually accounted for by the MAP sensor or MAF sensor depending on the car. There's usually also enough fuel & timing in the tables to account for ECU AFR adjustments. And that's the way cars are designed and tested.
I would never recommend that you modify your car's power-train, but remember there are people who makes a living doing this type of work, like I had in the past. There's a huge industry established to support this as well. Let's not bash them and take food off their tables.
Instead let's support them by starting a dialogue in an effort to create a "Tune-it-Safe" coalition. Which is... A group of Tuners who are committed to educating/training their workers on performance enhancements, principles and concepts, safely and professionally applying modification, and offering warranty for their work.
There can be generally acceptable principles such as, no installation of go-fast components unless Brakes are adequate. Since going fast is optional but stopping is not.
We need a new paradigm shift in automobile performance modification. And, we need people like you to champion this new change in approach to modding. That is... if one would like to experience the thrill of increase speeds, let's help them find a tuner within the coalition that would do it safely and provide some degree of warranty.
