Chris is more conservative in choosing names, Maggie’s sounds more exotic and romantic. Congrats, guys 🥳
That's because exotic names always sound weird in English (or other similar languages). It's not like in Chinese where you're pretty free to choose any character you want to make a name. Some names have bad connotations. Like Jennifer in France sounds like the name of a simple-minded girls. Names like "diamond" or "haven" sound like strippers names in the US.

When I choose my sons name, I checked the meaning in English, and sounds in French , make sure not close to something very bad meaning and my boys name is very unique, none of the students had that name in their elementary school, junior high and high school ,and University.
