@Bohemen I swear 1 person said it on the youtube premier video and now everyone wants to bring it up LOL. Can't just say the choir is sick, they gotta say the Bulgarian Folk Choir* as if they woulda even known it was Bulgarian before the comment chain reaction happened haha
Your point about it coming across perfectly and nothing lost in translation is exactly how I feel. What I love about Buster and specifically HLB is their music feels "naturally" heavy. Not forced, it feels genuine. Like this is the only way their art could exist. I get very emotional listening to them, beyond just headbanging music, I feel like this comes from the heart. Tide was the first song I ever heard by them, and it almost made me cry. It's pure artistic expression, swedish people are just built different.
this album is gonna end up in my top 5 of this year, I already know. I love that they just get heavier and groovier with each release, and I loved how unpredictable this track felt to me on first listen. it's so fucking good. also funny thing I noticed, this track uses the same choir sample as Paradox by Aviana. thought that was neat.
@@decay5972 they also featured jessica currys on detestor when really they just sampled a song jessica currys made. Ive heard that exact recording of the choir many times before
@@goodnightosaka still this wasnt sampled, it was recorded specifically for this by heli andrea and what ur hearing on the song is that recording layered x 100
The choir element was a delightful addition, like how they brought it back in too. Yeah great atmospherics and production value. This single killed it compared to the first one I reacted too ( although after multiple listens I think its alright), this had much more variety and balance in the composition for me. The djenty tones and atmospheric drops crush alongside the drummer. Drumming masterclass. For me the drumming really stands out in this band. Keeps me interested. Vocals are growing on me. I've learnt this band effectively use space between notes and riff sequences a lot and they are different in how they build up to faster sections and breakdowns. Something I didn't appreciate or fully grasp initially.
100% agree. Earthless is the song that got me into HLB, Instill is absolutely one of my favourite songs of theirs, may even surpass Earthless. So fucking good!
I wish all this videos had many reactions as the views, this is a great content I hope you always keep giving us your reactions (and opinions of each song)🤟🏾
not RUclips but Spinefarm records striking yet again...so annoying when their PR sent me the album early and asked me to cover it. Not sure I'll be able to get it sorted out :/
@@RachelleReacts meh, that sucks... what I know from several other reaction channels is that the band itself reached out to the label to make them unblock/unstrike the videos. But ummm... I can't really remember which channels.
Apparently, when Swedish thall meets Bulgarian folk tunes, supermassive black holes are formed.
Why is everyone so horny about using the "Bulgarian folk music" thing in their comments
Can't speak for anyone else, I just think it's an interesting fact.

@@tparkerino then again...does it really take anything away or is it just annoying to you that people say "bulgarian"
hits like a pissed off biblically accurate angel
RIGHT?! So glad we got the same type vibe haha
I love that description

@@TheBro129 yes it is. Its from a bulgarian choir. I forget what the song is called though
@@goodnightosaka no its not a sample, they stated on their bandcamp its Heli Andrea doing the choir for this song.

I've really enjoyed both these singles now and can't choose a favourite. Loved the choir elements, really added to the atmosphere on the track!
the part at 2:50 is real wild, I really like how bizarre but understandable it all is
Thanks Rachelle. So stoked for this album!
