They have a few models that only put out 0.5 psi. I showed the manual with the chart in it. I did use this one, 3000 model, on an EVAP system once but I opened the gas cap.
You can adjust it by putting your finger over the tip and adjust the knob until it can only reach 3 PSI or whatever pressure you want but it would be nice if the pump they used would automatically not go above 2 or 3 PSI max.

If it’s not adjustable down to 3 psi you are correct it will destroy a evap system

Fixing that leak probably increased your mpg because the pcv line is after the MAF. Good job. Gonna order an Ancel unit tomorrow.
