This episode was incredibly sad. I felt so bad for her! We need to see this storyline addressed again with her spirit haunting them and getting revenge. I also wonder if there has EVER been anyone that actually escapes? I can’t imagine they would actually honor that and let them go, especially considering all of the effort that was put into her surgery.
@@PM_____ The worst part is... Ryan has tapped into this camp stuff way too often sometimes it really feels like he has people lurking around reading this nonsense for plot ideas
@@JavierNYC423 It’s one of the most well known episodes of The Twilight Zone. Ariana Grande actually did a cool prosthetic mask of their face for her Halloween party a few years ago. It’s about a woman who gets plastic surgery and we don’t see what she looks like yet and we don’t see what the nurses and doctors look like either. Finally when they take off her bandages, it just shows a normal and beautiful woman. Everyone is horrified when they see her face, including the patient. She becomes terrified and tries to run away but gets caught soon after. She thinks that something terrible will happen to her but it just turns out that another normal man shows up and convinces her to go and live with them where everyone else looks just like they both do. She is even afraid of his face when she sees him. The whole premise is showing how beauty is in the eye of the beholder, it’s not objective and there’s beauty in everyone despite what they look like. The faces that everyone had made them look kind of like an angry duck, that’s the best way I can explain it lol. It’s mostly their nose and mouth.
And the one with the short black hair looks exactly like the one from death becomes her the one who gives them immortality not sure if it was a coincidence or a homage.
The ending felt so quick, but I hope this won't be the last we see of this Society. I think this should act as a prequel of sorts to a future season...
As I was watching it half way through I was like “why has the bandages against her nose and hands gone so big, have they done something to her?” but not THAT
What’s really scary is that millions believe that “rich and beautiful “ do even worse things (like eat babies?!) every time they get together. Talk about American Horror story.
For beauty, I could see them siphoning the blood of babies to make themselves healthier. There was a study where they attached a young mouse to an old one, and the old one actually got healthier. It’s a real thing, and disturbs me if this is ever practiced by humans.
I was so stvpid to think she was gonna somehow become the person she wanted when she paid this wretched w!tch to do so and to be humiliated this way before being m*rdered when you're told you're safe and loved and going to be beautiful all of a sudden...broke my heart for her. Makes you wonder if there are secret rich people in cults like this....99 percent certain the answer is yes there ARE :0 American Horror Story/Stories always leads me so well into assuming something good and then BAM hits you with reality and the horrors of mankind, amazing show that never fails to shock and scare me with the horrors that human beings are actually doing in real life!!
Indeed. I guess some of the Inspiration probably came from that. At the Moment there seems to be a Remake or Reboot of the R.L Stine Stories. I really hope that certain Episode will get a re-do aswell.
I really can't handle the fact that most AHS fans are like 'DOLLHOUSE IS THE BEST!'. That episode was so effin derivative, especially with the tacked-on ending with the witches. BLEUGH. This episode is true horror. Such an unexpected, heartbreaking and horrific ending. I just don't want the future of this show to be determined by the gormless people that seem to occupy all the public forums. I think they're so useless.
@@ahsuniverseslays yeah i kinda fucked with the coven witch ending, it was already dark enough, im glad there are more happy endings in the stories hahaha
I didn't find it heartbreaking. The woman was so utterly absorbed by her own vanity that she just blindly threw herself into a shady AF medical procedure on the mere promise of everlasting youth and beauty. She was just asking for trouble.
I really liked this episode but the minute the DR said if you don't believe your beautiful = they gunna mess up your face. not a surprise but still brilliant.
@@ahsuniverseslays Riiiight, the whole mutilating cult thing is all toddlers ever talk about! 😆 Seriously though, I found the 2nd season to be extremely enticing, the one with the doorbell camera, the cow pox, and the one with the mortician were especially solid and very enjoyable. Horrors are rarely going to be equally effective on everyone because what people find scary/disturbing is very primal and personal. It would be great if people remembered that before spewing their complaints all over the comment section. (Dare to dream I guess.)
Thank you finally someone said it I’m watching now and I’m literally so disappointed especially the Bloody Mary episode they literally died for no reason and this episode is just as dumb did they get new writers if so just stop the show now
they died because Bloody Mary could only be released with the blood of 3 innocent deaths...there is a reason it's just a lame one. But there is A reason lol@@codenamekii9792
Why is the whole show going so satanic ? I don't have any pleasure watching this anymore, it has become really violent and demonic. Scary but not in the good way.
Well, that wasn't the reveal we were expecting 😨
Is there a second part?
The female lead in this episode was phenomenal. She really felt less camp and more like a real person.
She was a longtime actress on law and order

@@Lolo777-y9uno unfortunately not
Judith Light is a very good actress. She started in a soap opera decades ago. She's very talented.

The Eye Of The Beholder. A classic. Great homage to mr. Rod Serling
Yes! This is the first thing that came to mind when I watched this episode.
