I helped on his son's promod at one of the IHRA Nitro Jam races in Tulsa (when Scotty Sr. was driving in Top Fuel dragster) -- and after the Torco Fiasco (and Scotty Sr. switched to Outlaw ProMod) -- I ran into him some years later in Dallas (ADRL) -- and he still remembered me and came with a big smile and invited me over to hang out after we ran (I was working on a different promod) -- These are REALLY cherished memories of mine!! Scotty is BRILLIANT & he and his son are the nicest and coolest people I've met (and had the PLEASURE of learning from and working with!)
How about more Scotty Cannon? "Ole Tiger got his feathers put back up again!" First saw Canon's early '90s Willys on IHRA broadcasts. In FC, did his level best. This is a hell of a success story, based on his innovative approach, like the part-Lumina PM. Cannon was the Dale Armstrong of early-'90s Pro Mod, and brought a lot of personality and competitiveness to FC racing.
No doubt one of the best ever n have enjoyed many years racing with him n to hear his tells he’s a LEGEND n will always be full of shit telling his tales!!😂 I still think he’s Stevie Fast Daddy!!😂
What the fuck couldn't understand all the words, didn't have to. I understood the guy, no one can beat that story. It has more mud in it then the Mississippi River has.
