My favorite version so far! This hymn was what the Lord brought to mind when my husband and I lost a little son in his 2nd trimester. Broken, we had just sang this song that Sunday morning. Yet, this song was what helped me very much get through such a deep sorrow. Despite the pain, I knew my son's first sight was of Our Savior and being with Christ for eternity is the greatestI desire for all my children. We recited this hymn as part of my son's funeral service marking the gift of his life and the gift of God's immeasurable grace. He chose to give us a new life in another baby. I have lived His giving and giving and giving again. For me, it reminds me of the many tender mercies of our dear Lord and my little one I will one day embrace in Heaven. To God be the Glory.
I also lost two daughters both from Doctor’s negligence! One passed at 3 weeks old from an infection caught in the hospital and one from a heart Greg given to her by mistake! I however have five children so God has blessed me. God has revealed to me that all his little ones go to Heaven at whatever age they are innocent and without sin! This also include children all over the World who have been aborted or miscarried!
The Living Stone Quartet, the Redeemed Quartet, the Bali Brothers, and the Heritage Singers are the best gospel singers who always accompany me throughout the days...being a widow, GOD and their songs are my companions. GOD bless you!
These are part of the traditional Indian Christian Hymn repertoire you will see sung in any Indian Christian setting, and have fallen out of favor and style in contemporary Anglican/ English speaking churches. So Peaceful.

Add to this, the very gentle guitar notes, which are like a 5th voice. So rare to hear worship music that is not strained to reach a pitch, for show, or instrumentation that entirely overwhelms the human voice. But the guitar is just a beautiful compliment. Then add Annie Johnson Flint's precious and beautiful words. I could listen to this all day. I appreciate everything these guys put into the making of this video. Especially the gentleness, which speaks of our Saviour Jesus Christ, and deeply touches the soul.

I was sitting in a church worship 1000s miles away from home. I had just heard that my beloved brother passed away in the afternoon (India). I was stunned. I could not hear the sermon. My tears ran down my cheeks which I tried to quickly wipe away. I asked God how could He take away my brother whom I loved so dearly without even a goodbye. At the postlude the choir sang this song. I was sitting in a church worship 1000s miles away from home. I had just heard that my beloved brother passed away in the afternoon (India). I was stunned. I could not hear the sermon. My tears ran down my cheeks which I tried to quickly wipe away. I asked God how could He take away my brother whom I loved so dearly without even a goodbye. At the postlude the choir sang this song. As I listened to the song, I experienced a calming comfort inside as God's grace embraced me in a very assuring way. Thank you Living Stones

Such a beautiful hymn,sung beautifully & lovingly by a very gifted quartet&guitarist. I'm fighting terminal breast cancer in the strength of my Saviour&LordJesus and am believing for a Miracle, but during a time of incredible pain & aloneness, waiting for healing, I asked Jesus to either take me home to Himself or heal me dear Lord, coz I can't take anymore pain: but just 3 days later I woke up with this beautiful hymn playing over & over in my mind and I knew Jesus was speaking to me, so I searched for the hymn on RUclips & found this amazing, beautifully sung hymn and lovely guitar accompaniment by men who obviously love the Lord God and love to honour Him through their beautiful harmonious worship. Both the lyrics & the heart-warming way the song was sung brought cheer & fresh Hope&Strength to me through suffering.
