Great interview! Michael Stackpole is a fantastic author and the X-wing series are definitely some of my favorite Star Wars books. I believe they were my first foray into the adult Star Wars novels when I was younger. It's also great to hear him talk about the early days of Star Wars novels. Now that LucasFilm has Timothy Zahn coming back I'm just waiting for an announcement about Stackpole!
only just come across this interview and thank you for doing it love the Rogue Squadron novels he did but I really remember him most for the Battletech novels covering the Forth Succession War 💜
Loved this video, thanks so much for making it and I'm glad you had fun. Would love to see him write more x wing in the new canon. Hope you get the opportunity to interview Timothy Zahn at some point!
Stackpole has always been an awesome author. I can't wait for his new battletech books to come out . like he said they're definately worth checking out.
Odd topic to suggest, but I think that part of the answer would be that he simply didn't trust anyone. Zam Wessel was his partner for a while, but she always had an angle, and always put a sense of doubt in the game Bounty Hunter. Plus, Jango is too cool to have a relationship. He doesn't need anything oeanyone, except a son to carry on his legacy.

I love how Alex's subtitle starting out is "Freaking Out Right Now." But I mean, what Star Wars fan wouldn't be?! What an amazing opportunity!

What a gracious guy. I can't wait to read his X-Wing books.
Really enjoying your interviews Al :)
What games has he worked on? I wanna check'em out!
He worked on the DC Heroes RPG during the 1980s. He wrote the Batman Sourcebook, as an example.
When I saw this on my feed I could only imagine how excited you must have been, Alex. Congratulations! Loving your videos!
Wow. Landing an interview with Stackpole. Your SW rep just skyrocketed. So glad I subbed. Keep up the good work.
I Would die to meet Michael stackpole. All the x wing books are brilliantly written. Great interview btw.
alex, your questions for Stackpole were great, you really know your stuff. this was a really fun interview to watch.
ofc
Further evidence of this being a great channel. Alex does a fantastic job with Star Wars!
ofc
Great questions! And Michael seems like a really nice person.
Nice dude! Stackpole was def one of my favorite serial writers
His books were SO good
I love these videos. Keep it up! I hope there's more on the way! :)
Unfortunately this was my last interview from the Con, but I'm so glad you liked them! :)
Well done man MtfbwU always .
Hey alex loving these interviews!!! Have you done one with CLAUDIA GRAY????? Was she at Dragoncon ???????
If given the opportunity to meet him I'd ask about Tycho Celchu and Aril Nunb. I loved those two :)
Stackpole has always been an awesome author. I can't wait for his new battletech books to come out . like he said they're definately worth checking out.
Don't be Shaloub you NOOB. done almost from Lem to kern.
Holy shit, Stackpole's voice is pure vanilla.
What is your take on Star Wars Go Rogue?
i wonder if he's mad his books were declared legends
I didn't outright ask him because I figure he gets that a lot, but he didn't seem bitter about Star Wars in the least.
Star Wars Explained oh okay. thanks for replying
I can imagine a lot of authors are mad about their works being no longer canon.
These videos are great :D
Video idea: why did jango have to clone a son? Is it because he couldn't get laid, because I would find that hard to believe since he's so cool.

I think because he thought so highly of himself he wanted a perfect copy to carry on his legacy. That's the impression I got anyway.
