Elsa, you look so happy in your new home. I can see how much you appreciate the little things in life like having somewhere to hang your clothes and put your laundry away. I’m so excited and happy for you. You deserve it! You two sacrificed for many years, living in a tiny little scamp. Enjoy everything in good health!

From your other videos of the a frame. I thought it was tiny. Maybe stand a 6 foot ladder up to it , so people can gauge the size. How tall is it? Elsa looks very satisfied with the way the house and a frame have turned out. Barron, keep up the good job, keep her happy!!!

I love the idea of the A frame becoming a kids bedroom one day. Every kid is different, but based on my own children and their personalities, I'd say that 11-12 would be an appropriate age for a bedroom like that. My youngest is 8 and still comes in to our room at night if she has a nightmare or doesn't feel good in the middle of the night, but my 12 year old and 15 year old are pretty self sufficient. My oldest moved to the basement bedroom when she was 12, and I remember when she was 8 she hated the idea of her bedroom being in the basement, now we struggle to get her to leave her room 🤪

The Aframe is going to be a great little guest house. I bet you'll find it really helpful after having babies, too. I could see you swapping responsibilities so one of you can get restful sleep in the aframe while the other cares for baby. My kids are pretty independent, but I don't think they would be ready to sleep alone until they were in the double digits. You'll figure it out as you go. I love how you set yourself up with so many options.

When I was about 12 or 13, I moved into my Dad's toolshed in the summer. I put in curtains in the window and I had a radio out there and a small cot. My parents had 2 more children when I was about 13 and 16 and I appreciated the calm nights I spent out there. I was always independent and it helped me become more so.

My dad made me my own little "play house" when I was about 10, which is actually about the size of the A frame you have. It has a porch, a ground floor and a little second story just big enough for a twin bed. I spent every moment I could in it, including sleeping in it in the summer -it didn't have heat or insulation so there was no way I could spend a Montana winter in it- then when I got into middle school and highschool I moved a couch into it and it was so nice to have a private space to hangout with my friends, and we could screech and play without bothering my mom with our noise. It was so nice to have a space independent from our single wide trailer ( then upgraded to a double wide trailer when I got to high school) that I could call mine. I did have a room in the trailer but the "play house" was mine, and I think it helped me so much with the transition to college, I was already very independent, so I didn't go through a lot of the struggles that other kids did after leaving home. I think it's also why I didnt go through the "fear of the noises of the night" when camping like other people do because I already got accustomed to them sleeping in my play house all those summer nights. (Context I grew up on a 40 acre ranch 20 mins from a very small town in Western Montana, 1 hour from a city, if anyone went to town when I was a kid we ALL went -8 of us including my parents- because it was an *occasion*)

Good to see the German Shepherd playing on the bed like that. Reminds me of two I had called Fred and Barney (like the flint-stones). They played just like yours and were just like two children to my family. Great memories and good times are always made when you treat pets like family members. Keep and safe and thanks for reminding me how good life can be when you think of your similar experiences, held in memories.

Have the top of the piece you're chopping just above knee height for easier splitting. Most of the power is in the last 1/3 of your swing. 450 Rancher is an excellent saw. Can't go wrong with Husqvarna or Stihl, it's having a local dealer for parts and service that makes the difference. Instant Pot comes in clutch yet again!

Absolutely made me smile. Followed your channel for a long time so I know from hence you came... Seems like with every step of the journey you both learned more and more skills that helped you to the point of finding your HOME. The next step was building the house that would be your home. I was very touched how you Elsa... felt such pride in making a space comfortable for family and visitors. Your life in the scamp was nomadic and you did make friends along that path but where you are now settled you have been lucky enough to find a real "community" of friends. The give to others in that community seems like such a joyous part of your lives. Even cooking raises to a higher level when you know when dinner is served the people you enjoy the meal with are the real blessing.

_Barron! My Dad was a Tree Surgeon (really!) for over 60 yrs. He always had every size of Husqvarna in our basement - that smell of oil always reminds me of that._
_Anyway - the KEY to longevity, performance, and sanity was that he REFUSED to let anyone - ANYONE - sharpen his chains. I remember it was like watching a violinist when he sharpened his chains - and he did it a lot! I don't ever remember him buying a new saw - his lasted forever. My lesson, from a great lover of trees - Learn how to sharpen your chain CORRECTLY! What "correctly" is, I did not learn, just watched him file away like music. Have fun - he sure did!_ 🔥💖🌲🌲

I love watching you guys, today though, I discovered all your videos on your murals, Elsa Rhae you are insanely talented, I have watched you turn your hand to so many crafts that are all wonderful, but today watching you do those murals was mesmerising, are you going to do a mural in your beautiful new home that you are building????

What's best about living vicariously through you guys is that I don't have to accomplish a damn thing. I haven't left my house for two-years because I've been content living with chafing, drool, piss, fecal matter, eczema, dandruff and dead skin as my reward for having opted to seek my sustenance through your accomplishments. So long as you continue with the tradition, I shall remain upright and complete. My entire existence hinges upon yours. No pressure. 😜😜😁😁

We cut a lot of firewood every year to heat our home, my husband splits it all by hand with that fiskers ake. He loves it ND tells everyone about it. Also he has more chainsaws then I probably know a different one for every job.
Love seeing how your home is coming together.

Oh gosh, the view from your bedroom is amazing. I'd be spending all my time in there, lol. And your roast looked mouthwatering.
