Whoa, that's cool man. I remember searching "how to grade slog-2" or something like that a year back and your channel came up. You kindly answered the questions I had in the comments. Good to see that hard work pays off, I'm sure the subs will keep coming!

Beautiful footage as always. Congrats on 2k. I really just want to see vids about your journey as an artist - mistakes, failures, triumphs, and victories. You learning your craft and using it to achieve your vision in the world of music, filmmaking, and art. Would love to see how your adventures inform and elevate that pursuit - time with your partner, your dog, time with the land and nature. 🙌🏻

Matthew! These are all awesome ideas. I think for a while I was hesitant to insert my personal life into my RUclips content but I’m slowly realizing there might be a little room for that stuff along with the the more informative camera content.
It’s been a pleasure watching your channel grow!

@@TimmyLodhi There can definitely be a balance. Still gotta keep things mysterious! It's just so obvious that you're passionate about adventure, exploration, and nature - gotta be some fun ways to pull back the curtain on that from time to time and relate it back to your craft. Looking forward to more content! 🙌🏻🤘🏻

Big congrats on 2k. Your tutorials have been very helpful. Keep at it. I also dig the mini videos you create like at the end of this video. Being able to watch the things creators like to make versus just tutorials is a great idea and it would be cool to see more of that on the ol’ RUclips’s.

Awesome to hear Jason. I love making both of those types of videos so maybe I can figure out a good way to balance the two. 🙏🏽

Hey man ,just wanted to say that what got me subscribing in the first place was your authentic vibe and simplicity!
And I would love to see more color grading tutorials.
Congratulations and keep it up! 🎉❤️

You can tell you love color grading 🥂
Since that’s probably my weakest skill, I’d love to see some more content on color grading from a “new-to-Premiere-Pro” perspective. I understand the science/theory but I spent 5hrs last night making my first short in Pr Pro just trying to understand where the buttons/menus are and how to “make it work.”
Example: you can do effects while in edit in the bottom left or in the effects tab at the top. When should/ do you use one or the other?
The video is posted but not public yet. After I update the description etc I’d love your input!
I agree on your logic, do what supports your love for the art. It’s been hard not posting after my last (and only) success, but it’s taken this long for me to be inspired to shoot again. Wish you the best for 2022 and beyond 🥂

@@PortfolioAutomotive Thanks for all the kind words! I'll definitely check out your video when it's public. And I know people are very interested in the color grading stuff so I'll have to find a fun way to incorporate more of that into my future videos.
I'm using the Tentacle Lav mic btw!

Hey man, absolutely love the color grading... I think finding a Niche is important, for me I followed you because I don't see anyone else putting together stunning landscape/nature content like you do, and its really relaxing to watch. There's a guy I used to follow on Tiktok before I deleted it and he would just go on simple, little adventures like hikes and stuff and film himself drinking some coffee in the woods next to a waterfall or stream and visually document it, I used to loved that shit. Your videos have those vibes so maybe that's your niche. Just stay away from that shitty stock, rock music with boring footage in the background and tacky transitions like most of those Canadians make haha.

Thanks Will. I used the Tentacle Lav Mic. First time using myself and loved how easy to use it was. Doesn’t sound too shabby either!
