Luncheon with the Experts: Nitya Raj, MD

Nitya Raj, MD, Clinical Director of the Gastrointestinal Oncology Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, www.mskcc.org/cancer-care/doc..., was the featured guest for CCF’s Facebook Live Luncheon with the Experts on Thursday, June 9, 2022. A medical oncologist, Dr. Raj’s clinical practice is devoted to caring for people with gastrointestinal and endocrine cancers, including neuroendocrine tumors, adrenal cancer, colorectal cancer, pancreatic cancer, and other gastrointestinal cancers.
Dr. Raj’s research focuses on advancing treatments for neuroendocrine as well as adrenocortical cancers. She also studies ways to improve physicians’ understanding of how neuroendocrine tumors change at the genetic level over time and as a result of different treatments. The goal of this research is to better personalize care for people living with these cancers.
Dr. Raj’s work has been recognized and supported by the American Society of Clinical Oncology and Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation. Nationally, she serves on the Neuroendocrine Tumor Task Force of the National Cancer Institute.
