As a Stratocaster player since 1968 recently gone across to Classical I can honestly say Alexandra Whittingham is my favourite classical guitarist. A remarkable player... Well done.
Mangoré Agustin Pio Barrios, he created most of his master pieces faraway from his country, so there’s always a little bit of sadness in his creations, if you pay attention to it. Greetings from Paraguay, you did a great job.

Alexandra gets better and better. And the tone she gets is becoming more and more beautiful. Lovely variable vibrato and that wonderful, almost Bream-like (and that's a compliment) sound on some passages. This is the most lovely performance of this piece I have heard. when your down and out there is nothing like a beautiful piece of music by a beautiful musician to bring some much needed piece to my mind at this moment..time to listen to this as the calm allows me to finally get sleep..oh my 4:30am problems and thank you for the piece of mind; i cannot wait for more uploads to ease my many more future sleepless moments in my forever long nights up just like this one but that are yet to arrive. i need sleep very badly so its time to listen and enjoy!

I once listened to a "complete works of Barrios", actually several times, and it all went in one ear and out the other, definitely don't remember this piece, but hearing it played on its own its outstanding, and bravo for Alexandra's great playing too, all that said I would like to hear Barrios' waltz collected into one playlist, as I do like them as much as Lauro's waltz and like to hear them as a playlist 🙂 !!!
