My condolences,I am sure dad must be very proud of you for doing a yeomans service for a lot of pajero owners out there who learn from your installs and experience.Just got myself an NS pajero and following you from Perth.
Sad news on your dad passing away, not an easy thing to deal with I know from when mine passed away, but we have to keep going, nice setup with oven, looks good 🤙🏼
Hi brett. My condolences to family n friends. I lost my dad in march, not a nice feeling. Once again. MAN what a great concept youtube. Just love how you explain stuff about the items, wish i lived closer, as im not that switched on anmore, yep age settling in. Bloody covid n delta. Take care from gods country. Logan city. Brisbane.
It is indeed a shit Time Rob, but the world turns mate and we just keep going. It just odd the times that hit the hardest . Kinda when you don't expect it. Thanks for the comments mate and hope you're safe and well. all the best right back at ya
Sorry to hear about your dad. He can rest easy now. I bought a Kaon shelf for our NX after your video. I am 6 foot and I can see the bottom 20mm of the shelf in my rear view mirror. It takes a bit to get used to but not a big issue. Still plenty of clear space out the rear window. The MOLLE capability is a great feature. I have a "rip off" first aid kit mounted on ours. Cheers mate.
Hi Cam, ah, thanks for the tall person perspective. I figure it was good since I was shorter. Which position do you have yours in on the mounts ? I do have a first aid kit here that I was going to do just that with. thanks for reminding me. It's a good place for it to be grabbed and seen by others . cheers Brett
@@DENMONKEY I have the tray as far forward in the boot and as close to the ceiling. I placed out first aid kit on the vertical piece that stops items falling forward into the car. The pouch hangs down a bit so I position ours above a headrest. Cheers mate for videos.
Sorry to hear about your old man mate. That switch panel looks pretty sweet, I have a spot that would fit nicely (My roof console). You're slowly getting the Paj very well set up mate and once Covid buggers off we need to get out in The Watagans or something for a night. Might invite Mudduck too is he's lucky lol..
Hi Brett very sorry for your fathers passing hope your keeping well and staying safe in these awkward times, For what it’s worth I’m super excited to see your installation of the 12v distribution switch panel as I’m currently researching products atm for our rear storage build on our Pajero, I had decided on the Egon dc hub but it is pricey although likely worth it, when do you think you’ll get this install vid released? Cheers mate.
Hi, thanks mate for the words. Auxbeam was on to me this week to get the video done it september . I've ordered some outside lights from amazon and am hoping they will arrive soon. So I'm aiming for the next 2 weeks or so. those Egons looks tasty but for those bucks it wants to be. Are you matching it up with the redarc as well ? ruclips.net/video/xfo8Ah2Tefg/видео.html&ab_channel=EGON-EnergyinEverything . I kinda see them as being different beasts and you won't get the bells and whistles of the egon with the auxbeam switch panel. after all it's just that. that said, it doesn't look like the egon does switching either and is just a distribution set up. What other kit are you throwing in ?
@@DENMONKEY I have a JTS Power Easy Battery Box coupled with an enerdrive 40 plus dc to dc charger and a 125ah lithium enerdrive btech battery, I want to keep using the battery box and connect a power distribution panel to it, Egon have advised me that doing it that way would be overkill to use their product so I certainly appreciate their honesty, and then I watched your vid where you introduced the auxbeam product and I thought that’s just what I’m after plus it has the switch panel too. I’m wanting it to run rack mounted camp lights, water pump, air compressor etc it’ll be interesting to see your review of its performance and limitations. Cheers Jason.
@@pallet2play596 No Worries Jas, that's why I was curious about what else you had planned. That's a big bit of kit to be using if you're not going a massive install. The Switch panel sounds like it would work for you BUT not for the compressor. well not directly anyway, because of the max 30amp output on an individual switch. You could easily use one of the 5amp ones though and just use that to switch a larger relay like I did with my compressor install over the back. basically you will use the smaller relay in the switch unit to energize a larger relay capable of handling your compressor draw.
Hey Brett, just also letting you know, the Kaon brackets don't go through the little holes either. They mount between them and the long plates they ship with sandwich the molle sections between back plate and bracket like a vice. There's a good video on their RUclips that shows you
Hi Brett you might like to add a top plate to the oven mounting to distribute the weight more evenly across the shelf as me thinking with all the bumps and jumps this might lead to distortion of the shelf as their Kaon extra brackets would do this really well Onya mate
I reckon I could find something to do that Les and to be honest didn't really think of it. Never hurts to over build something. especially, like you said, it's gonna take some bumps and jumps etc....come on no covid :)
Hi mate I am currently looking at getting a 4by up to 10k but but with a variety out there thinking of hilux , 4Runner ,prado ,80 series or Pajero can I ask how you find the Pajero as a off road car are they reliable and Iv read petrol is the way to go with them would you recommend them over the others cheers for your feed back
Hey Podge, hard for me to give ya info on that mate. the NT is the one I have and I haven't so much as even been in the older models. I can tell you the guys on the pajero forum are nuts over the older models but you'd likely see that on any model specific forum. I wish I could give you the info you needed mate. The only thing I can that I noticed when looking for mine is that the pajeros and the nissans seemed to be on the cheaper end of the scale when compared to the toyotas. The Paj has taken me anywhere Ive pointed it and I keep up with anything I've gone out with. That said, I'm not out there to break it either. I'd go as far to say , its a great tourer and performs solid off road . If you're looking to go balls out , probably look at something else. Parts and aftermarket stuff can also be a bit tougher for the mitsis when compared to other makes. Not always but it can happen. good luck
Hey Brett, mate... Sorry to hear bout your ol man, that's not good. Keep ya chin up fella. I'll be doing exactly this to my NX, Kaon shelf, kaon light cargo barrier and the road chef. The only thin is I don't have a dual battery setup. Currently I run the fridge on drivers side in cargo space and plug in at the rear 12v point. The Rottie takes up the other half the cargo area. Would you be able to tell me the measurement from bottom of the oven to the floor? Also, I've been thinking of getting a portable lithium battery box or something like that to run the fridge off on short trips where I don't take the caravan. Any recommendations on a cheaper one? Great vid as always, looking forward to more
hey Noodle, did you get a reply from me on this one. I've been doing them through my phone but this ones still showing up on the pc as unanswered. I'm pretty sure it was 87cm,. let me know if u didn't get it and I'll double check
Sorry to hear you lost your old man, my thoughts and prayers are with you and all family.
Thanks Dan

If you want to stop the wire trays rattling bend the outside bars out slightly making them a tight fit
Cheers for the tip

Great video. Look at trying silicon trays for your oven. Don't rattle, flexible and you can get a size that 2 trays will fit in side by side.
Hey David, any particular one you can point me to for a good fit ?
