    Dr Foster I enjoy watching your videos, that being said I have MS and I have a CE coming up in a few weeks. I know heat intolerance in and of itself doesn’t qualify for disability alone. But I have debilitating heat intolerance and not just from being outside. It all runs in circles, along with heat coming terrible fatigue, blurred vision, muscle weakness, cognitive problems to the point I have trouble at remembering alit of thing and get confused, and my speech starts to slurry, and a lot of times numbness. I have just had a cervical spinal fusion and artificial disc put in. All this being said how do I explain heat intolerance to the CE dr so they understand?

    While awaiting my CDR outcome I was hospitalized for a chronic hidradenitis suppurativa caused infected rectal abscess and fistula and will have surgery soon. My doctor said it’s a severe complication of the HS that affects the groin, genitals and buttocks. Another complication is a risk of cancer. It’s a terrible disease on top of other conditions that prevent me from working.

      I have this…not extreme luckily. I had it under my arms as a teen. It went away and moved to the groin area at 21. I think for many HS sufferers, it is indeed disabling!

    Well this is discouraging to hear. Ive got hardware in my spine as well as a complete knee replacement. I am having issues with my spine as the disc's above it have bulged. I am having neck issues as well. The sciatica in my spine causes my replaced knee leg to swell and become tight. I can only function at a task ( sweeping, mopping, dusting, dishes, ect.) for about 20 minutes at a time then Im out for the count for at least 45 minutes. The pain it causes in my hip and leg is unbearable. I applied back in Feb 2024 and am still awaiting a response. I guess time will tell.

      In your case I wouldn't be so discouraged. What I meant in the video was that having orthopedic hardware ALONE, that has fixed the problem it was implanted to fix, and is not associated with disabling problems won't qualify for disability. If you have hardware, but still have significant problems that limit your ability to work, you will qualify for disability if your limitations are severe enough.

      @@DisabilityExams I was approved for disability at the beginning of September 2024. Due to limitations from the hardware from both by spinal fusion and knee replacement. Im sure my age was a key factor as well.

    I have a left foot injury that has resulted in a lot of complications over 8 years and 9 surgeries. The last year I have had 3 surgeries to address broken painful hardware and nonunion complications. I have had 13 fusions in the foot among other things. I have just been notified that I again have broken hardware with nonunions and will need another surgery. I can walk limited in a CAM walker boot and have been told to only walk sparingly. Would this be something worth pursuing since it is affecting my ability for employment and the need to continually put life on hold for surgeries that require long recoveries NWB? I'm 40 years old and keep thinking the next surgery will get my foot somewhat functional but just hasn't been the case. I wasn't sure if it was worth pursuing because I'm young and the goal is for things to get better even though that hasn't been the case so far.

    what are someones chances of getting approved if they have aspergers and generalized anxiety disorder

    • @DisabilityExams
      @DisabilityExams  4 месяца назад

      It's possible, but psychological disorders have to be severe to qualify for Social Security Disability. Here's a link to the Listing of Impairments for Mental Disorders: www.ssa.gov/disability/professionals/bluebook/12.00-MentalDisorders-Adult.htm
      There are criteria for Anxiety Disorder, and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

    Hi Mr Foster why isn't insomnia included for Social Security Disability doesn't not being able to sleep effect the ability to sleep if you haven't slept for a week it would be hard to rely in an employee to work and is actually down right dangerous as their brain too won't be functioning properly

      I don't know. Contact Social Security and give them your views: Social Security Administration, Office of Public Inquiries and Communications Support, 1100 West High Rise, 6401 Security Blvd., Baltimore, MD 21235. As I said in the video, I don't make the rules, the Social Security Administration makes them.

    Is illiteracy a disability

    • @DisabilityExams
      @DisabilityExams  23 дня назад

      By itself it will not qualify, but if there are other work-related limitations it can help a person qualify, and should be included in a disability application.

    I saw a Cardiologist and my medical records now have shortness of breath upon exertion and LBBB in it. The doctor told me a story and basically said push on regardless. Walking slowly is okay but climbing stairs takes my breath away.

    • @DisabilityExams
      @DisabilityExams  3 месяца назад

      Can't walk, or have difficulty walking? You always want to be precise when describing your problems for disability. Complete inability to walk is considered a major disability by Social Security. Difficulty walking - it depends on the degree of difficulty. Can you walk with a cane, two canes, crutches, a rollator, or walker?
