Classic metal - a great riff, a hook melody, properly sung vocals, expert solos and - wait for it - a great song! I haven't seen Testament since 1986, and I'm so looking forward to seeing them again in late 2024!
Skolnick, way underrated guitar virtuoso. Solo from electric clown is a masterpiece of technical prowess. Flashy, yet restrained, tasteful, jazz phrasing’s, and perfectly befitting of the song. 🤘🏽
Skolnick is not underrated by all means. He's internationally known. Any respectful guitarist from Zack Wylde, to Hammett, to jazz and classical guitarist knows who Skolnick is.
One of the funnest times I've ever had in my life. "LETS OPEN UP THAT KIDDIE POOL!" lol. Chuck was hilarious. Got to talk to him several times on the boat and meet Gene H. as well. I wish I could go back there every day....
Isso sim eu música não esses ritmos de samba ou funk que existe no Brasil !que sou obrigado a ouvir indiretamente e isso aí sim é vida banda de rock e liberdade amo o testament !!😜
I hallucinate!! Mr.Eric Peterson`s T-shirt is from my land.Long live Galicia and Testament....i saw them in Coruña,Pontecesures and Valga always very great.
As someone who saw these plenty back in the day this is why I can't bring myself to go to shows like this anymore. It is sad to see how time takes its toll. I have done my best to maintain. Not so much here. :) p.s. I do realize Chuck Billy has been through a lot, but still exercise and diet help.
I’ve seen a ton of videos of aging rock bands still hanging on to that last glimmer of stardom. I’d say a good many of them just fall flat on their asses… no energy… no punch… just sad old farts trying to get by on songs of yesteryear. Testament defies this by all accounts. They bring it hard and they bring it well!!
Still proud to own The Legacy on vinyl. Love first records... All the great thrasher like bands had one. Exodus, Dark Angel, MegaD, slayer, and of course the mighty kill em all.
Testament 🤘 крутая банда, если бы они появились на пять лет раньше, то большую 4 пришлось бы расширить до большой 5 😊 . Это группа в 90 х при правильном менеджменте также собирала бы стадионы.
music isn't a competition and there is no "better." You may like one more then the other but that doesn't make something better. Having seen Metallica live a few times in the last few years one thing they don't do is "suck."
Saw these guys open for slayer on reign in blood tour,in Brooklyn at LAmours ,crowd was in a frenzy for slayer , they were spiting and throwing cans of beer ,yelling slayer, slayer, testament only played 3 and a half songs ,and left stage to. Let slayer play, felt bad for them.but that's what happened

Mark Capestro was thinkin samething. I remember going to see these guys in ‘88 @ the Omni - The New Order. That whole show was the biggest adrenaline rush I’ve ever experienced.
Something unsettling having Gene playing DW drums ..I wonder if that is why Gene's drumstick went flying at :30 ...like it was scared.I have never seen Gene lose a stick like that.I have seen him drop and recover sticks as they bounce around off the cymbals and drums by never one go flying after the snare hit
tweevers2 some drummers let em fly if they crack or break them , Gene plays like a beast wouldn’t doubt if he breaks a bunch during the show , the atomic clock 🤘
@@alexvigil29 Gene is pretty damn good with the stick control, occasional drips them...but that one got away from him unbroken...he crack the snare and off it took like a rocket. Then Chuck grabs it and has some air drumming session while singing. There is a cool drum cam of Gene with Death tribute band and his stick gets caught on the underside of his ride cymbals a couple times and it goes flying and bouncing around hitting drums and rims and bouncing back up and down like a slippery snake and Gene is able to grab a hold of it again mid air.
STILL one of the best metal songs of all time. That riff, that chorus, amazing.
that riff… one of the greatest.
One of Thrash Metal’s Greatest 🤘🤘
No only that!!...One of greatest band ever no matter what kind of genre we're talking about
@@jorgecruz4412 Absolutely - No question about it. Really Super Talented Players All Of Em 🤘🤘
Alex Skolnick walked on water on the solo, you could tell he put some love into it
Chuck Billy still sounds great
When you're 55-57 years of age, I challenge you not to have some kind of gut. And to rock as hard as Testament still does.
Right!!! Can't believe someone is complaining about body types..... it's a fucking METAL show not Jenny Craig cruise 🤦🏻♂️
That's actually easier than you think, unless you're on the typical american junk food diet lol

@@carius007 cheers!!
Imagine the hairball in the drains after this cruise is over -- sheeesh.
Half the audience is probably already bald (like myself) so that makes for it. ;)
Would you eat it for 100k?
A lil jelly, mmkay? Mabye?
Gene: drops stick
Chuck: finds it on the ground
also Chuck: uses said stick as a prop
pure gold moment XD
What an epic song ! I remember this very well .
Love Testament. What a performance. Love this song. Love The Ritual album. Wish I was there \m/.

Great album, The Ritual - 1992 classic! That and Force of Habit from Exodus are underrated from that year...
They really are and both got slaughtered at the time.

Yessssss 👍🍻
Seeing Gene back there singing as he's hammering away...He loves it! Hahaha.
That Bay Area sound though 🤘🏻
