Many people's mouths move faster then their brains, ben is running full speed brain and mouth. And yes listening to him sped up sometimes makes me car sick, between Peterson and shapiro they are geniuses.
Personal responsibility is hard. Its so much easier to have someone or something to blame. I think it happens a lot in Christian circles too: "satan is attacking me" no, that's just the consequences of your own actions 😂 stop making bad choices and then asking God to put a bandaid on it
I find that Christianity and genuine submission to God is the best way to become someone who holds themselves accountable and recognizes that the biggest factors in anyone’s success, ESPECIALLY in a capitalist society like what we have here in America, is our own decisions. We have so much more control and power than we realize.
Yes it is the ultimate solution. I've been commenting that also in videos since 2009. Submission to God will fix our hearts, our families, our politicians, and nation. A sustainable utopia will come to earth only when Christ returns.
I agree with the statement that someone who is looking for a scape goat for there problems can be lead to incompetence but what about when it truly out of their control and that scape goat is the fact that there are rulers and principalities in high places?
The "very best choices you can make" is still limited by your environment. Governments can do massive harm to the success of individuals already making "the very best choices".
I disagree, especially in the US. However, I do believe that those around someone who is "making the best choices" will affect them, but we have too much evidence that throughout history, a person's environment can not stop them. Not poor education, disability, etc. There are too many people under oppressive govts who had bad childhoods and abusive parents who succeed beyond expectation. I do think that sometimes trials happen, and some suffer more than others, like Job. But there are many factors at play, and the individuals mindset is the biggest oppressor.
I think it's ridiculous that we are even discussing this. Of course our environment plays a huge part in how successful or unsuccessful one can become. This is why people in 3rd world countries suffer in poverty, not because they dont try enough but because they are limited in what they can do. In the former soviet union if you even made an attempt to be successful, you could be killed. The people who were successful were the ones who had ties to corrupt politicians and governors. Currently, in the US, there are multitudes of people working multiple jobs to just provide their families the bare minimum. How are they to blame that pay rates haven't gone up much in the last 20 years, but living costs have doubled or even tripled. If you've built a successful business, thank God and give him the glory for that. Not everyone is able to do that even with hard work.
I think the facade begins to fade a bit when all the "hopeful" millionairs say stuff like "When was the last time you tried something hard"... The American dream only works while the average hard working individual succeeds. Now a days, you AND your spouse can be working harder than the one primary bread winner in each of your parents' houses and you can STILL be bringing in less buying power than your parents had. We're going through a hard time folks, we need MAJOR change. Sometimes the problem is you and sometimes it's outside of you. Companies like Blackrock have COMPLETELY changed the way our economy works. It would be pure stupidity to turn a blind eye to that, not investigate if it's affecting our society and simply ask ourselves "Well, how can I be better?"
I agree with you that we shouldn't blame our failures on what is going on in the world. God tells us He has plans for us. He has a purpose for our lives. His Word tells us we can overcome and that we can do all things through Him. There is nothing new under the sun and when I was growing up several decades ago it was the same stuff. The only difference is these defeating ideas are on steroids now. If you want to be successful you need to focus your attention on God and the plans He has for you. You need to realize that He has already transferred us out of the kingdom of darkness so don't get entangled in the world systems which all revolve around lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and the pride of life. The Bible tells us if you keep your focus on Him and His Word, all of it, He will make your way prosperous. Prosperity isn't that you have all the latest things, clothes, or gadgets. It's that you have a roof over your head, clothes on your back and food in your belly without the stress that keeping up with the crowd gets you.
BS uses his “own” definition of Populism. He is so slick and uses his own idea of what populism is . Then makes sure to make it sound like the left. He was right about making excuses but dead wrong about definition of Populism
It’s all of it. I don’t care what he says there are powers that control your life. YOU also play the other 50 percent. Put God first you can’t loose that way.
This marxist lens the west sees everything is 100% poison. Jordan Peterson and Ben shapiro are easily the top 2 smartest people at the daily wire. Individualism and collectivism each have their pros and cons. Individuals have a difficult time being a 'black sheep' in a collective. Collectives have difficult times because they are unable to reach all individuals they would like. Individuals like Musk, created his own collective, disassociated as it may be, in order to create large scale changes. Collectives such as gov't or political party agencies are divided as such, because each collective wants the most individuals under their own umbrella. The UniParty collective will do whatever it can to stay in positions of power by discrediting outsiders, lies or not, such as what happened with Occupy Wall Street, the Tea Party or MAGA Party entrapment at the Capitol for example. As an individual, I have never been satisfied in a collective. My parents were divorced when I was three years old, so the first collective, a family, was already divided into separate collectives from infanthood. Multiple different churches, public schools, and holiday family gatherings. Cliques in school, I could never belong. I was the nobody that everybody knew. Occupationally, I've had work I've enjoyed, with people I've enjoyed, but always found a dead end to advancement, promotion, or wage increases that could keep up with inflation, whether for personal or professional reasons. So what's the solution? I do not know. As you mention in the video, I'm working on becoming who God made me to be. If hindsight is 20/20, it is that hindsight that has given me evidence of my creation to be an individual and not a collectivist. I am beginning to feel people being drawn to my work, but I am hesitant to allow anyone too far inside my bubble. I have a lot of things I am trying to figure out prior to allowing it, but I know I need the assistance, collaboration, insight, and value that others can bring to what I am doing. May God Bless us all.
