Pricing for apaltek oem in Europe is a new level from montech. That’s amazing. Just did some price checks against lian li using the same oem and really good deal from montech
In the US, no manufacturer is getting anywhere near the price to performance of Thermalright for coolers right now with the Frozen edge 360 being $55 and the Warframe and visions, both of which have screens on them, going for as low as $75 regularly. Either buy one of these, or buy the best performer. These Montechs are neither.
Hopefully if people buy thermalright based on your recommendation they last longer than mine did. 3 months. Starting making a weird sound then died. Got it replaced but I lost faith in the brand. Would avoid them as they are cheap crap.
@@buyingastairwaytoheaven5252 This is emotional, knee-jerk nonsense. Failure rates for hardware are incredibly low. You probably haven't a clue how much PC hardware is produced and shipped. Thermalright has a deserved good reputation. You receiving a single bad unit, getting a replacement that presumably is functional (which is more than what most ASUS consumers can say) and then calling them cheap crap is completely disingenuous. Expensive, OCD-level engineering products still will have units that break as well.
That 360mm looks like the best performance to cost cooler on the market. Bar none. Montech really are showing as a brand on the rise. Corsair really need to get back to pricing things better. That’s what I take from this.
all they really need is to use a custom mounting mechanism for amd and then offset that cooler to the hotspot, it'd truly be a game changer at that point.
Scan lists them both with 310 TDP, but has no TDP for more expensive Coolermasters, If they can both handle 310 then as I cant fit the 3 fan one in the case I'd go with the 2 fan one, but will it really cool a 7950x?(hoping to run at 105w or 65w) Also you Say its ARGB, but the Tomahawk Mobo is JRGB so will it be lights out for me :(
I'm interested to know if the boxes for these give guidance as to suitable CPU tdp or a list of CPU IE the 240 would not be able to cool the top end CPU from intel and AMD.
Great review, Pump looks nice and cooling is good on the 360, just dont like the clip over mounting on AMD much prefer the 4 pole method, Thermalright are the ones who have smashed the budget AIO market.
@@Praireboy-hg8ip True, ive got a Frozen Magic 280 SCENIC V2 in one of my PCs running for a year now with no problems so far, could break down tommorrow though.🤣
Can i install it without the am5 stock brackets? I dont have them anymore bc i switched them out for an ak620. Im looking in the manuel and theres nothing on it. Very dissapointed
I think the 360mm is the one to get, especially if you are using intel - the 240mm seems to struggle with high end intel, but that design is the same one in my lian li and I would only buy it for AMD coolers tbh. Montech are certainly making the price point for Apaltek very reachable. Have to give them a clap for that alone 👋🏻
Im a bit dumb when it comes to AIO coolers since ive never built (or even owned) a pc before, and i want to make sure i get things right when i build my first pc since its going to be fairly expensive. If i buy this, can i just get it all hooked up and turned on, right out of the box, or do i have to add coolant to it? And does it fit in the top of the King 95 case as thats the one i would like to use
ok while the 240mm seems a bit weak as part of the apaltek design, those prices are insane - next level cheap. Other companies need to take note - shows how much we are being overcharged. Montech get my vote for the company of 2024 so far.
I don't really know what the pricing is in the UK but in Europe the Arctic Liquid freezer III AIO's are dirt cheap atm (direct from Arctic) AND have VRM cooling built in. In my eyes a better overall package. For example a 420 AIO €97 hard to beat the price and performance. But like i said i don't know how these are priced in the UK. And ofcourse a different story if the MSRP is involved.
I am not sure why anyone should be surprised at the low prices these Chinese brands are offering. I paid around $68 for my white Deepcool LT720 360mm AIO in December last year and under $30 for a Thermalright Phantom Spirit cooler a little over a year ago. They are really very competitive when it comes to value vs performance.
Someone needs to drop this point to companies like Corsair. Having looked online at pricing this montech uses the same oem as Thermaltake and lian li and a few other brands and these montech versions are a lot less than both of them in Europe. All depends on the oem they use too.
You want something that’s going to last too. Apaltek is a reliable oem. Some of those Chinese brands are cutting corners. Not all the same. Trust me. I’ve the leaks to prove it !
@@JJ-gk5tn I think thats really only if you let em run at over 3000rpm. could easily set up a profile to keep that in control. I quite like the idea they can spin very high if you needed them and didnt care about noise. most fans i have are sub 2,500

I did but it’s in a cupboard. I lost faith in it to do the job and it made this irritating whine before it died. Just bought something a bit more expensive that will hopefully last. I think they are so cheap they aren’t that well made. Just my view.
I guess they figure Intel has a larger market share so why even bother making a proper AMD bracket? Intel brackets are likely pre-installed on pumps too. I'm not a fan of the Arctic Freezer 3 AMD mounting so I got rid of it. My Deepcool LT720 is way easier no tightening nuts or screws while springs are under pressure.
@@russellbower2557 sure it is, but market is consistently changing in favor of AMD, so it is not smart to have a worst mounting systems for AMD, at the end are the best CPUs now
If you're buying a Ryzen CPU, maybe one of these, but NOT an intel CPU. If and when I purchase my high end 14700, or 14900 I will not buy a cheap AIO. You pay for an expensive CPU, you should NOT even think about one of these cheap AIOs.
Intel 13th and 14th gen have terrible issues mostly pertaining to out-of-box settings surrounding the degradation problem. They run way too hot and are pushed too hard at stock. That's the only reason they require such exceptional cooling solutions. If you tweak them properly, they can behave a lot better, but most people don't have the sense to do this. AMD chips on the other hand behave much better and are much easier to cool.
I love their products. They clearly have people in the company who know the market well. Such inexpensive products usually and very capable.
Montech really are nailing their price points and quality for the money in the last year
Yeah they are doing very well in the case market. This is an interesting move for them.
Can't believe they provide 6 years warranty.
Wow, for the price and performance , it's the best value cooler indeed !
Super Rare to see 6 years Warranty
6 year. I’ve never seen with an AiO tbh
