Great video! well put together. My home park. You don't have to pay to enter the park nor pay to park your car. Definitely come back again and anyone interested in a small park with out long lines and good food and good scenery, you have to come to Erie!
My home park, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I do. Specifically Whacky Shack and RF2 can't wait to see reviews and other videos in the future of this place
Pdv345 I wouldn't say sadly at all, I agree that it's needs a few bigger rides specifically one with an inversion but even without one it's still charming and a good time
I really appreciate this video. Waldameer is my home park and I love seeing the very few videos about it. I wish I could've met you, but it was my final day of school, and I had an end-of-the-year party that day. Hopefully I can meet you some time. I can't wait for the reviews for the rides and for the park.
The country singers made me chuckle, a little bit. Great vid. I look forward to visiting Waldameer, one day. Been to Conneaut, but only heard of Waldameer, a few years ago.
okay okay I'm going in 2018, just shorter ride south of Lacawana NY (Buffalo). so, from my home base, Rochester, NY: 5 hours? The wooden coaster (my favorite, old school) looks fun.
So pirates cove, people pee at the barrels, and idk where else so most of the time I just avoid touching everything as much as possible. Also once, while I was on the ravine flyer 2, it was especially whippy that time, and someone threw up in the other cart, so we had to sit there for about 10-20 minutes as they cleaned it up. Then they let the other cart go so it could dry, we were let off and the ride went on as usual. No one said anything about the barf, but my cousin knew they would run it to dry, and it looked like something was just cleaned up. And now... *cough cough* THE RAVIIIIINE FLYER AT WALDAMEEEEER, YOURE GONNA LOVE IT HERE, COME ON OUT AND PLAY, IN ERIE PA!
I'd say it's not as good as Thunderhead, but better than Mystic Timbers. And also better than Millenium Force. Just thought I had to put that last part for the Cedar Point fanboys here.
I haven't been to Magic Mountain so I can't really say there.I'd believe it though, since it gives so much airtime and has a view that's awesome (beeing on Lake Erie). It also celebrates roller coaster history rather than putting it in the dumster. Even though my second favourite coaster is an RMC, I am generally opposed to coasters getting the treatlent, especially classics like Colossus and Riverside Cyclone. I prefer them ground up. No complaints about Mean Streak though, that's for sure. Next thing you know Flight Deck, probably the worst coaster in the western hemisphere (just clarifying, yes that is the SLC) will close and be replaced by a B&M invert.
That's based on my experiences. In the evening I'd say it's as good, but I got a morning ride, where the airtime was weaker. I've heard from my cousin (who is also a coaster enthusiast, Waldemeer is his home park) that Ravine Flyer II doesn't run as well at night as it does during the day. However, I only judge off of the experiences I have had. One underwhelming ride on Mystic Timbers does bring it down in my rankings slightly. I did like it better each time I rode it though, so if you only rode it later in the day I completely understand how you could consider it the best wooden coaster ever.
No. Lol. It doesn't have a lift hill so it doesn't count as a coaster. The Devil's Den at Conneaut Lake Park and Haunted House at Camden Park count as coasters though because they have a lift hill.
Touche. I should have been more specific. The Wacky Shack doesn't have actual track, instead it has an electrical rail that powers a motor in the car. The Devil's Den and Haunted House are powered by gravity. The lift hill takes them as high as they need to go and they travel downhill the rest of the course.
RF2 is a critically acclaimed, nationally known wooden coaster, and Mr. "coaster enthusiast" here, won't give it the time of day. Oh well, at least he rode it and at least our dinky little park got some recognition.
it was fun! I probably won't be back there for a while just cause I don't really feel a need to go back anytime soon, and its not exactly close to me, but it was a cool little park!
I'm only like 3 hrs. away. It's a great 2 hr. park, or get a few rides, leave and do something else, then come back later (because it has wristbands). I'd recommend doing it and Conneat Lake in a single trip. Conneat Lake is only like 30 minutes away from Waldemeer, and is another 2 hr. or less park. They are having financial trouble at Conneat, so if you do Waldemeer, be sure to get Conneat Lake as well.
Always love these park footage videos! They give a great feel for the atmosphere of the park.

The only reason why I would want to go here is because of Ravine flyer II. It looks amazing!

for another coaster fight you should do scream vs the kraken and another coaster should be tatsu vs manta ray
Thanks for being a role model for me taylor
how was Ravine Flyer ll

rollercoasterfan2000 a hole lot better Than Twisted Colossus, "I'm affended."

I Go in August!! I love it. my favorite is ravine flyer 2.!!!!
What would you rate RF2 out of 10
Was wacky shack a coaster????
Elijah Vernagus
it's a dark ride.
No. Lol. It doesn't have a lift hill so it doesn't count as a coaster. The Devil's Den at Conneaut Lake Park and Haunted House at Camden Park count as coasters though because they have a lift hill.
Elias Mertens by that logic all launch coasters aren't coasters

As a credit counter I have to know...can adults ride Raving Flyer 3 by themselves?
Whacky Shack or Ravine Flyer II
When are you going to be at Six Flags Great America?
I'm not

Very good video. I saw myself in the back row of the rf2 in some of these shots. I am the one in the light blue shirt
Hey Taylor, How was Waldemeer, did it live up to its name, or is it a park you go once and then never come back again?
it was fun! I probably won't be back there for a while just cause I don't really feel a need to go back anytime soon, and its not exactly close to me, but it was a cool little park!
