From the comedic mind of Tina Fey comes a new twist on the modern classic, MEAN GIRLS. New student Cady Heron (Angourie Rice) is welcomed into the top of the social food chain by the elite group of popular girls called “The Plastics,” ruled by the conniving queen bee Regina George (Reneé Rapp) and her minions Gretchen (Bebe Wood) and Karen (Avantika). However, when Cady makes the major misstep of falling for Regina’s ex-boyfriend Aaron Samuels (Christopher Briney), she finds herself prey in Regina’s crosshairs. As Cady sets to take down the group’s apex predator with the help of her outcast friends Janis (Auli’i Cravalho) and Damian (Jaquel Spivey), she must learn how to stay true to herself while navigating the most cutthroat jungle of all: high school.

The casting, the revival of Renee's first Broadway role as Regina George adapted to the screen is just PHENOMENAL. Veteran cast, Tina, the original creator still going strong, is just so amazing. I am so excited for this film it is ridiculous.
i think this will actually be a hit; they werent replicating the classic movie, its a musical, i think itll be a hit when it releases, shorts and tiktok will do its thing.
Yeah cause a lot of the marketing does not make it clear it’s a musical.

I LOVE MEAN GIRLS, SO ICONIC. Tina Fey and Tim Meadows actually reprise their roles. This could be better than the 2004 one. But that movie is way iconic so, 2.5% chance.

Last year, my high school’s theatre program did Mean Girls: High School Edition, and it was an amazing show! I can’t wait to see this movie in theaters! I will probably go with one of the cast members to see it!

This is based on the Broadway musical, it’s not remaking the movie
1 it's a musical. 2 it's literally identical to the movie. The only way it could get any closer is if they casted the EXACT SAME PEOPLE and if you think Lindsey lohan would make sense as a 17 year old you're an idiot

It Roars will not be in the movie and will be replaced by a different song to introduce Cady.
I don't think they'll have Rockin' Around the Pole in the soundtrack (like how its not in the musical soundtrack), which leaves open a spot for Apex Predator.

After reading the comments, I see there is a need for clarity. THIS is NOT a combination of the first movie. Nor is this a sequel, as a sequel occurred in 2011 in which no one returned as original cast other then the principal, Tim Meadows. The second thing to note, this is a screen adaption of the BROADWAY MUSICAL to film. The story of MEAN GIRLS is always the same. Young, Innocent Girl Infiltrates a clique and becomes like them instead of corrupting them. To compare this MEAN GIRLS (2024) to its predecessor (2004) would be a work of foolishness and bias. As each cast obviously was selected because they were the best for their time, now, a 20 year difference! How will this movie hold up in connection with the innovativeness that made the first film classic? And can we keep that same dynamic spirit alive without political agendas that saturate the FILTH in the MOVIE INDUSTRY in 2024? Will this movie be able to adapt to screen from a broadway musical or will it be another DEAR EVAN HASEN FLOP? TIME will tell, but I have one powerful review coming up on it! MEAN GIRLS COMES INTO THEATERS TOMORROW FOR A SPECIAL OPENING IN A THEATER NEAR YOU! BEST WISHES GUYS !
