    THE BEST FLATBED VIDEO ON RUclips.
    Totally respect guys that have skills and attention to detail. Oh! And respect for tools and their tooling. And for that chopper guy, and the powder coat guy, and definite respect for the draftsman.
    What you seen herr folks is what every man should have skill wise and what they should have in their garage.
    I think I'll subscribe right now!

    Might be too late now but theyre load resistor to fix your taillight hyperflashing. It hyperflashes because LEDs draw less power then a set of incandescent bulbs. When you have incandescent itll hyperflash due to a burnt bulb

    • @4rnorthwest
      @4rnorthwest  6 месяцев назад

      An excellent point! One not made in the video. But yes, we DID in fact install inline resistors to the LED noizemakers for the “over flash”. The scene you’re referring to is actually sped up which is easy to miss since we killed the lights in the scene. Hence the over flash in that scene. But hey good catch! And thank you for watching!

      Theres a lot of tacking going on for sure! followed up with laying down longer lines. We had ton of footage making a "lots of fun" to narrow it all down to 20 minutes! But theres nothing more boring than watching someone weld the same thing over and over again in real time! hence editing. Thanks for watching!

    Next time guys You should build it 8 foot bed....with cargo latches on the sides and back. But this build is very good to for a 6ft.- bed. TH

    What purpose is a bed with no sides and no apparent provision for sides or tie downs?

    Really enjoyed the video. How did you fasten your decking to the frame? I didn't see any lag bolts. Thanks.

    I know this video is a few months old but hopefully I can get a reply back anyway... Can you please tell me the dimensions of the steel you used? Did you use steel diamond plate? Also, where did you get those tail lights? I hope to hear back, great job on the project!

      Eddie Price well thank you Eddie for your interest! The tubular steel frame if memory serves me 1.5”x4” .120 wall thickness. The ladder framing was1.5” .095 square tubular. The diamond plate was 1/8” think I think. Taillights were LED 13volt trailer lights off amazon. To prevent overflash from the blinker relay on the turn signals you’ll need an in-line regulator/resistor on each taillight to the blinker. They’re available on Amazon also. Fairly inexpensive and well worth it. Hope that helps and thank you for watching!

    All the metal is worth more than the truck. Nice job though.

    I pull a Semi trailer flat bed. I would have made stake pockets and a rub rail but it's your baby.
