That was a painful reminder of Joey's final victory in the original Yu-Gi-Oh series. This was a guy who went from taking on all the secondary characters in Duelist Kingdom to narrowly losing to Marik due to injuries sustained for plot conveniences.

It ended up being more of a free-for-all where everyone's got a team of monsters they use, but he was useful to the gang, so I'm going with yes. (Unpopular opinion, I actually enjoyed that season.)
The target audience for the card game in Japan for the Konami Card Game was for 12 and up. Before that, Bandai's Carddass had cards covered in a lot of blood with human death like eaten by a monster. It was not a children's card game at all, which was in tone with Takahashi's manga. But you need to do the casual thing and make a joke.
I just checked, this really was Joey’s last win. Although to be fair, his last duel was a loss against Ziegfried, and he didn’t actually duel during the Zorc arc.

Little kurriboh is outside the confines of time that we experience acting as a vessel for the concepts of comedy and yugioh, only interacting with this reality when the times are right.
It is oddly comforting to know that the Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged series began during my childhood and will probably end in my retirement in about 20 years. Little Kuriboh will always be there in our lives (I hope!).

I started YGO and DBZA while doing my Master's and deep in depression. They got me out of some dark times, and as I'm approaching my 40s, I'm glad they are still around in some ways.
Sounds like things have been quite rough lately. It's important to always keep in mind what's actually important and what brings you joy. Maybe they're not always one and the same, but they're not opposites either.
To be fair, immediately turning your backs on NFT after seeing the target audience's disdain towards it actually is a pretty solid managerial decision.
Going back on a bad decision instead of falling to sunk cost fallacy and being needlessly obstinate is a valuable ability, especially when as the person at the top you won't be scapegoated(heh) and held accountable for any of the fallout and can more easily sweep it under the rug and move one. Now if only most other companies in the real world had the open-mindedness, sensibility, flexibility, and humility as the over-the-top dragon & card game obsessed megalomaniacal cartoon character.
At the time of this being the newest episode, I ran some calculations out of curiosity and 83.92857142857143% of Yugioh has been abridged thus far. This rounds up to 84%, the number of this episode.
theres something weirdly nostalgic about the writing for this episode its still peak ytas and feels fresh but somehow doing that while giving that old vibe, cant describe it, fantastic.

I mean, SWE posts episodes more often than LK. These are low-to-no budget productions that they literally aren't allowed to make money off of, so you have to allow some extra production time and just be happy with what we _do_ get.

He was a huge inspiration to me and my art, and one of the main reasons I ever even started drawing. I just can’t believe he’s gone. Now I understand how Berserk fans felt when Kentaro Miura died. The world has lost a man with endless joy in creativity, and it’s heartbreaking and so unfair, especially with the way he died. May he rest in peace.

Now I wonder if Takahashi and Miura crossed paths when they were creating their separate works. I wouldn't be surprised if one drew inspiration from the other. Artists do that all the time.

It is oddly comforting to know that the Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged series began during my childhood and will probably end in my retirement in about 20 years. Little Kuriboh will always be there in our lives (I hope!).

To be fair, immediately turning your backs on NFT after seeing the target audience's disdain towards it actually is a pretty solid managerial decision.
