***** dont do it :) this isnt as hard as it looks, you can find tabs here on youtube and with enough practice you should get the first part done rather fast. The "strumming" part is a bit trickier but if you know how to percusive slap its doable.
***** no ofcourse not and i couldnt play some songs of him today even if i tried my hardest, but thats not my point. I was trying to encourage some1 not to give up on learning this (because its really not impossible), so what do you want from me?
Sungha, Ignore any negative comments. Jealousy and a lack of talent can bring out the worst in people. You're an amazing musician. best wishes in your career.
I have been a fan of the stones since the mid ‘70’s, this is my fav song of that time, this is such an amazing version, I just loved it, fresh, clean sound and really grabs you. Thank you lad, very nice.
As you get older, some things you experienced when you were younger that were unbelievablly awesome tend to turnout rather disappointing. 8 years later and this Rolling Stones song is truly epic! His skills have transcended time! Ridiculous
There are some very fine versions by very fine players of this song on youtube (eg. Eric Henderson's version), but this one moves me the most (to some tears); the song is after all, a lament, and it's played here with great feeling. ALL the "classical" versions suffer from the excessive repetition of the theme (a repetition that carries the lyrics in the sung version), but the varied intensity here overcomes that mostly, and the increasingly loud and throbbing bass string on the last few choruses takes the song to another place - perhaps more ominous. One of the Stone's great songs, transmogrified.
What I love about him is that he is not a machine. He has tremendous technical skill, but what really sets him apart is that he also has that and a great feel for the music. He leads with interpretation of the song, and makes his technical skill serve that master. Awesome play! This comparison may seem odd, but he reminds me of Carlos Santana, who also has great musical feel and skill.
Помню смотрел его, когда только начинал играть на гитаре и думал, как круто, вот бы мне так научиться как он) И вот за это время у меня тот уровень, когда я могу так же играть:) Спасибо тебе за видосы! Я видел к чему нужно стремиться))
David Wood i see the whole "can you do better" argument all the time, it's by far one of the stupidest thing uttered by man. If everyone lived by that rule Critics wouldn't exist, people wouldn't have talent and no one would improve. If people don't dislike videos because they can't do better (even if they genuinely don't like that content) RUclips would be dead.
lalo2798 defintely agree.. everything he touches turns to gold. I've been watching his videos since he was 9 years old and it's been amazing to watch him transition into an artist who can create his own version of anything, or write his own masterpieces. That's true artistry, a true musician.
Talent, pah! That's tens of thousands of hours of practice you're seeing. Get jealous of his practice schedule, and people will write off your hard earned results as just something you were born with too!
Timothy Takehara raw talent AND practice. let's be real, some people just get it better than others. but sungha has made a career out of music and that takes a lot of hard work
Paint it Black lyrics I see your red door, I want it painted black No colors any more, I want them to turn black I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes I have to turn my head until my darkness goes I see the line of cars and they're all painted black With flowers and my love, both never to come back I see people turn their heads and quickly looked away Like a newborn baby it just happens everyday I look inside myself and see my heart is black I see my red door, I must have it painted black Maybe then I'll fade away and not have to face the facts It's not easy facing up when your whole world is black No more will my green sea go turn a deeper blue I could not foresee this thing happening to you If I look hard enough into the setting sun My love will laugh with me before the morning comes (I want to see your face painted black Black as night, black as coal See the sun blotted out from the sky) I've seen your red door and I want it painted black No colours any more, I want them to turn black I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes I have to turn my head until my darkness goes
Really great arrangement! Loved the change in mood and the inversions you put in there. The production is beautiful as well, clear as a bell and with depth! There is a teeny bit of hiss there in the quiet bits, nothing that cant be removed, do that and this number is ready to sell ;) Great work.
watching this kid's playing for a long time and still can't believe anyone can repeat everything he'd played. Sorry if there's errors - i'm from Russia...thumbs up for that guy
If people saw an artist painting exactly how Picasso, Da Vinci or any other artist, people wouldn't agree on that lack of originality right? Then why disagree to a musician for playing a cover on their instrument the way they wanted to? I'd be damned if I had play a song exactly how its written, especially when you're a soloist. Where's the emotion when you're just tracing on top of the lines?
No. In writing, music, art, anything even crafts. You change it to the way you'd like it, why? Because you can. If I feel like a song I'm playing is a bit too jolly, I'll change the key to more flats because I myself, want to change it. You may see it as changing the words but the person was inspired enough to make things a little or a lot different. There are plenty of pieces that are different arrangements because a person may have really loved a piece and wanted to contribute some of their own creation to it. It's not destroying the song, its recreating it. There are so many perfect covers of many songs, if people wish to hear them they are a click away. But there arn't nearly as many rearrangements. People dont play music for others, people simply enjoy it. Don't take this the wrong way, I play for my family all the time. But whether its a recreation or a cover, its up to the person whether they enjoyed it or not. It wasn't specifically made from them.
Its all opinionated. But whether I liked it or not or anyone did, I believe the artist has the right to preform or do their art however they feel. What ever makes them happy.
Well this is just a youtube video. If I'm preforming a show for myself to play, to play my music than yes, I'd play my music because that is what people have came for. However, if I'm preforming for lets say Bach's Preludes, then I'm going to play his preludes. But I will still make minor changes because thats just who I am, whether its adding vibrato or holding out a note longer but only if I am soloing, I dont even do it purposeful but when I feel the music within me I will. As a soloist you are given the right to do so. But if Im just playing in a cover band than yes, llI do the cover of the song. But this is his channel, so he can post exact covers or interpretations.
You're on hell of a guitarist. Let me ask you this: Could you do all that with a capo on your first fret? Because, technically, the song is in F minor and you're playing it in E minor. They're so close, the song is still recognizeable. I'm just wondering. What the Stones did (I'm not sure which guitarist), actually, was put a capo on the _third_ fret, and play as if the song was in D minor. But you've got this kick-ass E minor fingering worked out, so if anything, it would be better to just capo at the 1st fret and continue from there. Like I said, the song is recognizeable anyway, but if you're a freak for details (as I am), I thought you might want to consider it. Great playing either way.
Listening to Sungha before bed. Nice.
And now you're also a famous guitarist 😎😎🎸🎸
Andrew cnm ne çok ortak noktamiz vae 😻😻😻😻😻😻
Gonna put my guitar back in the corner of the room and try to imagine playing this, what an absolute talent this lad has

Stefan K Sungha would do the same. He would encourage others to never give up. Good on you
Even the guitar is weeping. This is amazing, listening again 5 years later.
Sungha, Ignore any negative comments. Jealousy and a lack of talent can bring out the worst in people. You're an amazing musician. best wishes in your career.
dinkytankman Amen bro
+dinkytankman like there is any?????

The amount of practise put in to this is evident in the quality of the playing. Made me cry.
I have been a fan of the stones since the mid ‘70’s, this is my fav song of that time, this is such an amazing version, I just loved it, fresh, clean sound and really grabs you. Thank you lad, very nice.

10 years late, but this song helped me understand the meaning of jaw-dropping. Sick🤘🏼
This song always reminds me of my dad and my childhood. Love how you interpreted it. Nice job!

Best feeling and touch I have heard from this tremendiously talented boy.
Absolutely fantastic
Guitar Master Sungha Jung! Superb!!!👍👏👏👏👏👏👏
This is amazing, so many different techniques used here..much more difficult to play than the original..you'd make Keith proud
Wow, you don't cease to amaze. Never stop entertaining us, the less devoted.
Wow....just WOW. He really brings out the poignancy and sadness in the song.
Music is a mystery...Sometimes, we hear what our hearts want us to hear. That is the beauty of music
Beyond good one of the best I've heard you mastered the craft.
That is an incredible rendition.
You never cease to amaze me dude....at 2 mins all the hair on my body stood up!!!
I just love how chill he looks
Best acoustic cover i ever heard of paint it black!
I want to here this guy do Spanish Caravan by The Doors; that would make for an excellent cover, with his exceptional guitar skills.
your best work in my opinion. You are a gift to music.
How can 364 dislike this, think you can do better?! This is better than the stones.
not better than stones. they made the song.
its fingerpicking, ive been playing 7 years, i could play this, still its a very beautiful cover

congratulations, paint in black is a classic, and you still dominating it, was yet one more classic....

I think your covers are the best on the Internet. You sir, are awesome, and preventing me from study. Cheers
Ten years learning classical guitar... and still not able to do tremolo. *laying down on the floor *start crying
Very like your guitar playing style SUNGHA JUNG A+++
so did you only have to sell your soul or multiple souls to the devil to get this skill?
if you practice you will get this results.
That's like saying, "if you practice soccer, you can play it like Messi."
Habin Moon nah its all about when you start, 4 weeks in your mother's womb might be pushing it, but if you start playing then you can get it
Someone in the family sold the soul....
You can
I swear I never get sick of your playing!
great old rock.
Awesome....
he made paint it black with the clasical spanish guitar style, think so?
lalo2798 defintely agree.. everything he touches turns to gold. I've been watching his videos since he was 9 years old and it's been amazing to watch him transition into an artist who can create his own version of anything, or write his own masterpieces. That's true artistry, a true musician.
I wish my Dad would be still alive so I could show him this... You're amazing!
yo no se como hace con los ojos cerrados... un genio
The master. Watched him years ago. Still amazing
I am soooo jealous of this dudes raw talent.

You can try your hardest to play like Sungha but you can't. All you can do is wish.
Andrew Foy 앤디 true

Paint it Black lyrics
I see your red door, I want it painted black
No colors any more, I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes
I see the line of cars and they're all painted black
With flowers and my love, both never to come back
I see people turn their heads and quickly looked away
Like a newborn baby it just happens everyday
I look inside myself and see my heart is black
I see my red door, I must have it painted black
Maybe then I'll fade away and not have to face the facts
It's not easy facing up when your whole world is black
No more will my green sea go turn a deeper blue
I could not foresee this thing happening to you
If I look hard enough into the setting sun
My love will laugh with me before the morning comes
(I want to see your face painted black
Black as night, black as coal
See the sun blotted out from the sky)
I've seen your red door and I want it painted black
No colours any more, I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes
can listen to it for hours... well played!
I will learn this song
I am impressed, This is INCREDIBLE.

Thanks, Tina. Outstanding song! What a joy to listen to Sungha.

To be fair the original is on a sitar, not a guitar (apart from the acoustic doing rhythm)
Really Awesome playing the guitar acoustic.

I don't think he was going for an imitation. I personally really enjoy his interpretation of it.
