Very slightly. They have slightly more stats and some polarities but generally aren't super different to the base frame for the most part outside some very rare interactions and visuals
Yes and in some cases they're easier to get than their regular variants. Ideally you'd want to get both regular and prime variants whenever possible for the extra mastery (and another mechanic you'll learn about later) but if you just want power i'd recommend going for Prime whenever possible for the slight increase in stats and ease of building.

Yes. They provide slight buffs over the regular frames. Like extra polarity in mod slots. It won’t make or break the game if you don’t have one
