This was soooooooo helpful. I like how you didn't just scratch the surface on what we already see from other media covering UCF. Thank you for sharing your perspective I caught a good vibe on on campus opportunities and such. Very much appreciated
I applied around last August for spring but it looks like I got waitlisted because I didn’t send my transcripts. I just renewed my application so I’m hoping for Summer 2020!! 🤞🏼
Summer is a great time to start the semester especially if you want to get involved! you can find out about all the different clubs going on and be even better prepared for Fall
How is the dating scene at UCF , is there colorism when it comes to dating ? Also, how would you describe the campus life and feel? I heard it’s a commuter school and that it could be empty at times .
Yes there is colorism when it comes to dating. But if you talk to people that have traveled or that grew up a different way it’s not as bad. It can be empty sometimes but that school is huge lol there’s always something happening on campus especially if you a freshman
How was your experience transferring? How long did it take after you applied to receive a decision? Currently trying to transfer to UCF! Just waiting on a decision!
My transferring experience was good! I visited the school a couple months before applying. It took a while for them to say that I was accepted and I wasn't familiar with housing so I went Spring semester even though I was accepted for Fall
@@cassiemckay5273 i think i applied in like april or may whenever was the deadline during spring semester to enter in the following Fall semester and I wasn't told until the end of july/beginning of august.
You didnt like it either? I found of 60% of their students transfer after their FIRST semester. All of the people i knew there ended up transferring too
Nana shaw hey!!! I’ve never studied abroad but I’ve heard good things. Bc of COVID idk how it’s gonna be ran but there’s soo many scholarships you can apply for and that’s what i liked most about the program.
I’m interested in the same thing. I didn’t know my major, so I chose a college that was ranked higher overall. And now I’’m thinking I wanna do hospitality management and interested in transferring lol. Wish you good luck. I did have the chance to tour Rosen Campus in person, and it is absolutely stunning and impressive.
@@laurendelaney6020 Always apply doesn't matter your scores still apply! You never know what they could be looking for that semester, plus I know that sometimes if your scores are low they'll do this program where you start a semester early in the summer. I transferred there after attending 4 year university for two years so it was easier for me to get in a lot of schools cuz my college gpa was 3.75. so i not positive on the gpa requirement for freshmen but you should be fine! i didn't even take the ACT i did the SAT instead
Did you do the Nicholson school of communications? If so, do you have to apply for that your freshman year or do you wait until your junior year/when you finish your regular underclassman classes? I'm considering going next year, but I had no idea communication majors have to apply to that school seperatley
Abbi Lauren hi! I believe you have to wait till you finished the general classes however i came in already having most of those credits since I transferred so i applied when i got there. But each major has different requirements so even though i was in the Nicholson i had to declare my major after getting the requirements
I'm going to transfer on Fall 2021 and they are telling me that as a transfer student I can only apply for housing at Northview, was it like that when you were there at ucf?
I got in for summer 2020 but I had to apply as a freshman even though I’ll have 63-64 credits when I go and I don’t need the math placement test and I don’t wanna pay for it do you know how I could not pay for it and still go to orientation ?
Raven McCree hey Raven , was it easy to make friends as a transfer student? I’m looking to transfer junior year of college & I’m just wondering how u actually made friends? Is the secret all about joining clubs?
@@ravenmccree17 do you mind if I ask what you do for work now? Is it related to your degree in any way? I’m transferring from FAMU as a sophomore and my major there was broadcast journalism - I plan on doing something similar at UCF

Johanna Torres because i came in as a transfer and already took what i needed for math they did not make me retake it so I’m really not sure.
what housing would you say is the best? how’s the neptune community?
Nerlie Gourdet i didn’t come in as a freshman so i never lived on campus. I had a couple of friends who lived in Towers though, and they liked it

what about financial aid>?
Are there Housing for female only? Male only? Or is it both? Like would you get pair with an another gender for a roommate?
when you fill out housing it will give you that option
Hey, how was it networking and finding a job?
My major was communications & you really gotta go for it. It was hard cuz i transferred and then changed my major so i was a little late to it.

btw i got a 1120 on the sat 23 on act n a 3.3 be honest do u think i will get in? i’m still waiting on my response
I cantt give you an honest answer because i came in as a 2nd year student from another university, so they didn't look at my high school stuff
Hey did you ever get in? I’m still in high school and would like an idea.
Did you get in with those statistics? Trying to gauge my likelihood of getting accepted
