I think I'm in love ... that is an awesome mower.. I was always sceptical of robotic mowers particularly when most can only do one area or you have to manually set up a boundary ...
Yo mate what up welcome to another lawn tip vid.. me and my boss were talking about these the other day since his rideon is getting abit old i told him 100% they are pretty good even the ground wire ones just make the seller come set it up and put the wire in if ypur paying like 5k for one😂
How does it go over time with running the exact same track? Does it end up leaving tracks especially around the perimeter from the wheels always going along the same grass?
Does this have a home for recharging that it goes to once the zone is complete and how would I stop my American Bully's from thinking this is a play toy and tearing it to shreds?
I was under the impression that you don’t want robot mowers to be mowing in the same pattern constantly, and this was the benefit of the Husqvarna? Thought I was sold on a husky 😅 so many options out there!
hey mate, great vid as always. have been eyeing one of these mowers off however keen to get your thoughts on whether its safe to be using this on your lawn and then have it trim the back paddock, will it bring clippings and seed etc from paddock to introduce weeds and other grass types to your lawn?
One question ive got is how close does it get to walls etc, do you still need to whippy? Obviously cant edge the lawn but was curious about the whipping
Great review of the functions of LUBA. at 0:40 you show this being installed in a terrible location the GNSS reception. I assume you probaly had to move it from that location in your final setup? or did it actually work for you in this location?
Its got a rain sensor on it so if it rains its heads home im till the sensor drys and it knows its stopped raining. Can get a little add on plastic carport roof over the charge station too.
Looks great, how do you think it will navigate old tree roots etc? I have about a 300 square metre area which just had trees removed so there is a bit of leftover roots, quite uneven in some spots etc. thanks for the vid!
I found with the tree roots I have here it bumped into them and avoided them. I guess it depends on how high they are popping up. It might wear the blades if they are lower
So the thatch build up from clippings is a myth or a misunderstood theory. So if you didn’t mow for 3-4 weeks and left those long clippings on the lawn, it would overtime build up Mat and Thatch. If you are regularly mowing and the clippings are tiny, the microbes in the soil can keep up with feeding on the clippings and breaking it down.
@@LawnTips So glad to see a lawn expert coment on this myth. I have been mowing buffalo for 9 years with robot mowers on a lawn that did suffer heavy thatching because of my once a month mowing habbit (hence buying a robot back then). I used to do a minor reno every two years, but since having the robot mow the lawn every second day I have not had to reno the lawn in 9 years. (probably could do with one now, but that's not the robots fault.)
I would in my situation since it’s a large area. If I had to buy a ride on to suit this area it would cost 2x3 times the price depending on what I got. I love mowing and if I didn’t have lots of other areas I’d go the ride on. The issue is that I spend a whole day just mowing the rough stuff at the moment
How are the boundary tolerances (keeps x cm within boundary). Reason i ask, is i had a wired one mowing the front (mows better than i could)......but almost got run over after jumping the wire (video of incident below ) ruclips.net/video/knGagw6FL_0/видео.htmlsi=0m-8rUMYbc6HEqQK Thanks for your video
@robotmowersaustraliaif u enjoy mowing it’s priceless. If you don’t enjoy mowing.. sure probably worth the investment and o guess that’s probably more so who it is aimed at. People that don’t enjoy or don’t have time to mow. A lot of people watching this channel probably enjoy mowing and not many would have the time commitment to a golf green like Ben does.
9:15 - more efficient for time but NOT more efficient on battery/energy. The non-perimeter bots expend no juice on computer/radio/and driving multiple motors maintaining straight lines and crab turning. All of the radio non perimeter robo mowers have larger batteries.
I think these are a great idea and the time saving is awesome. But, I worry that if the company goes bust, which being a small chinese manufacturer could be at any time, the mower will be dead in the field without their servers hosting the app and gps communication. So you'll have a $3000+ ornament.
@robotmowersaustralia have a read of the Reddit forums on after sales support, parts availability has been woeful, but is improving apparently. Don't get me wrong, the product is awesome and being quite fresh to market there is bound to be some teething issues with parts supply. But, a small manufacturer may go bust at any time and no amount of "full after sales support" will help that, local or not. I plan to wait on the larger brands to release more products to market before jumping onboard. @lawntips, thanks for the vid man. Great as always!
As much as I agree with the outcome of them going bust would render your robot an ornament, Mammotion are not such a small company as they are a division of AgileX who make massive volumes of Robotic platforms for hundeds of other robot manufactures. Hence why you wont find alot of hardware complaints online with the LUBA. They are still a fairly young comapany though only being in business for 7 years. I do think they are pretty solid business though and not just a flash in the pan.
@@LawnTips How is he commenting a problem even if he generated a couple of sales from his comment, surely it doesn't affect you negatively in any way, seriously 🤪
I have husqvarna automower 405x. I wish I got this instead seeing more and more reviews. Husqvarna is quite dumb compared to this. Digs into the ground all the time.
Appreciate the review, I’ve been on the hunt for a new robot mower.
I think I'm in love ... that is an awesome mower.. I was always sceptical of robotic mowers particularly when most can only do one area or you have to manually set up a boundary ...
Does it have any inbuilt security protection? I’d be worried it would disappear if someone thought they needed it more than I did…
Yeah I have one.. been great.. not messed up at all.. I love mine
These mowers are fantastic ,a correction , not 75 Degrees slope ,75 % slope, big difference . 37 deg .
Whoops 😬
Seen a guy 3d print a little combine harvester cab to go on his robo mower haha looks great
It does such a good job that lawn contractors won’t need to purchase products from you!
Once homeowners all have one.
I love the job it does on edges?
Man id have this thing running all day every fkn day!
I'd like to see a robotic reel mower.
Me too

Sounds like its pretty much a robot vacuum for lawns, pretty cool. Wonder if this will effect the mowing industry eventually
Not at five grand
Vacuum? Didn’t you see all the grass left behind?
@@mrdobalina3451 lmao surely you're taking the piss
Nice review, man!
How long does the battery last? How many hours/sq m does it do in one charge. Does it have a charging dock? Or do you have to plug it in?
How does it go over time with running the exact same track? Does it end up leaving tracks especially around the perimeter from the wheels always going along the same grass?
Nice review! 👏
How does it perform now? Any further thoughts on it? Do you still use it?
Seems pretty cool but I'm curious to know what the build up of cut grass it leaves behind after a long period of time?! Keep up the good work
How often did u need to change blades
Does this have a home for recharging that it goes to once the zone is complete and how would I stop my American Bully's from thinking this is a play toy and tearing it to shreds?

You can change the mowing pattern every time with this one actually. So it’s never the same 👌🏽
Great review

You can cross over on to a path but up to a wall you will need a trimmer..
Yeah definitely still need to do some edges etc

@@LawnTipsthanks for the insight mate. Will definitely consider.
Does it dock itself to recharge?
Sure
At 30mm lowest cut Not going to be low enough for alot of peoples home lawns.
Do you require to rack up all the grass after every cut?
Nah, since it mows regularly it doesn’t take much off. Took a bit off the kikuyu only cause it hadn’t been done for a while
Would you recommend mowing with a catcher every few weeks then? Wouldn’t you get a thatch build up with the Ki?
@JetPilot223 great follow-up question

I planted grass seed 6 weeks ago, they recommed I fertilise again, what high nitrogen would you suggest?
Is this an ad?
Just needs an edger on it to do the edge on the lawn lol
Yes!🎉😊

Cool mower and review but I would’ve liked to see a little about how it cuts. Like just turn it over and show what the blade(s) look like.
Might as well put blades on my rc car 😂😂 rip off

Robot mower made in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China, NOPE!
Lol. Look at the country of origin on the 10 things around your couch while you are on it. 9 are from China.
Where do you think are other mower are made ?
And China build very good quality items
Buyer beware. These mowers can be extremely problematic and their customer service is non existent.
This will be about as good as a robot vacuum, sounds great in theory until you realise over time how useless they actually are
I’ve had this mower for 3 months now and it’s been great. It does just over 6000m. My ride on has not been out since I have had it.
Not cheap.
