I love Jamaica cuisine soooo much. My maternal grandfather is Trinidadian but I never met him, I’ve never been to Trinidad, and never seen a Trinidadian restaurant so eating Jamaican food is the closest I’ve ever gotten to experiencing that side of my heritage sadly.
The world would be a much better place if we focused more on sharing our food and stories together
Whenever you do, make sure you try a roti 🫓 that’s one of the best Trini foods, I’m Jamaican but growing up in New York we got Trinidadian restaurants everywhere, so I grew up loving the cuisine💯

@@Ubernaught012 The filling of the crepe was exactly the same as the original dish, the outside was just a crepe. They said the flavour was mild, it's not mild usually, so I'll assume the chef does not know how to make it. Ackee does have quite a mild flavour but if you're not Jamaican or don't know how to make ackee and saltfish properly, it can taste bland.
