The humidifier enthusiasm is really getting me pumped
Ha! Awesome!
I have the same humidifier. This was very helpful! Ty 😁
You are welcome!
The timing could not be more perfect. I was just looking for an easy way to clean my humidifier. Thanks, great job! :)
Happy to help!
Yeah, Covid.
i love his energy
Glad you enjoyed the video
This is exactly the energy I need for my late night cleaning kick
Awesome! Glad you enjoyed the video :)
I’m not the only one who cleans at night???
Doing the exact same thing 😅
It's just easier to clean at night. So quite and peaceful.
Brother, I don't care if this is the only video you ever put out, you got a sub from me! very entertaining!
Welcome to the channel my friend!🙂
🎉thank you this video is helpful I have the same model
happy to help
Good video! I like to clean my bathroom with Bar Keepers Friend.
Yes I have used that quite a bit on glass shower doors!
If you use distilled water it will reduce the amount of buildup on the element.
Fill it with the vinegar but scrub some of the loose stuff off first so the vinegar really can get in there & work it's magic!
Also don't be surprised if you have to let the vinegar sit for alot longer than ½hr if there's alot of buildup.
The amount of time and money you spend on just soaking with vinegar makes spending money constantly on bottled water ridiculous. 30 min to an hour of sitting on your butt while it soaks is nearly no work and almost free. It's like spend $10 on bottled water vs 50 cents of vinegar.
Totally agree!!!
The vinegar did it’s job after 45 min thank you. But the other item specifically the one that goes on the bottom and the tank was filthy.
The intro was kind of cheesy (🙈) but the info was awesome. You showed step by step what to do and made it very easy to follow. Thank you.
Happy to help👍Cheesy is the best!!🙂
I would clean every week....I just cleaned mine after about 4 months... wow the scale...I had like inches of built up stuff in my dome element
GREAT VIDEO
Thanks!
Wow 21k subs already. I subbed at 500ish. Keep it up and your humor is great
How do I clean a Nintendo switch
Yes sir thanks for sticking around! I need to do a video on a Nintendo Switch.
Thank you for doing this video
You are welcome
Once a month I put my humidifier in my garage and I plug it in ...I add two cups of water and two and a half cups of vinegar and I run it for 1 hours.... And then I just take it apart and rinse it and it has saved me a lot of time on scrubbing.... Every time I run my humidifier I put a couple of drops of lemon juice in my humidifier tank.... It deodorizes the water and gives your house a nice fresh lemon scent
Nice🙂
Very helpful thank you
You are welcome
This helped a lot man thanks 💯👌🏾
Happy to help!
Literally one of the best how to do it videos I have every watched on RUclips. Thanks!!!
Happy to help
Haha this is great love the humor
:)
No thats not it mine is 150 times crusted over more then yours. I may have to rent a jack hammer to get it off.
😂
I've had the same humidifier for at least 15 years & I didn't know anything about cleaning it until about 5 yrs ago! Needless to say my ignorance was obvious when I took it apart. Lol
I filled it with vinegar, scrubbed the surface layer & then let it sit for the whole day. Dumped it scrubbed some more & filled it again with vinegar & let it sit for another day! (I'm totally OCD so I wasn't gonna be happy until it was spotless! Lol)
It came out perfect! It took a lil elbow grease, patients, & a decent amount of vinegar but it got the job done. I also learned that you should use distilled water in it so you don't end up with so much buildup.
I'm far from being a hippie but I don't like wasting things that can easily be fixed. These days things are too disposable but many of these products can be easily repaired if people only took a little bit of time.
Use a diamond cutting grinding wheel or a stone chipping hammer.
You saved my humidifier!!! And my sanity! Thank you 😊
You are welcome!!
Great video first time user , getting a humidifier. This video was very helpful. thanks for your help,👍👍👍
You are welcome!
Thank you so much very helpful. I was about to clean my humidifier after 2 weeks using and it grossed me out from all the minerals and water deposits inside. Tho I didn't use distilled water. Is it better to use filtered water or distilled?
This is so helpful !!
Glad you enjoyed the video👍
I don't know where you live but vinegar doesn't stand a chance against our hard water. It did absolutely nothing against the calcium and lime build up. Muriatic acid did the trick tho, in 1 second. And rinsed out several times with baking soda. If you do this, do it outside with respirator and rubber gloves.
Yes if vinegar isn't working you may need to go with an even stronger acid!
Mine is pretty bad, leaving it soak in CLR overnight -
2023 and cleaning my humidifier while shake it up really good!
Thanks for the info.....
You are welcome!
Thank you for the informative video! Should you disinfect with bleach every week?
One thing you forgot to mention/show, how did you remove the scum from the heating element? Otherwise good tutorial.
If you want to get deposits off... forget about 5 or 6% vinegar and get 20 or 30% vinegar but do the soaking and flushing outside. Imperative ! to do it outside... harsh fumes !
The 20% is overkill. The 5 to 6% works no problem.
Thanks 😊
You are welcome!
Here for the cleaning, stayed for the accent. I love it. It's sexy.
Amazing videos like always. Keep going :)
Thank you!
Vinegar doesn't do much for me, I need a good brush that reaches hard to reach places 😮
Very informative and helpful, thanks!
You are welcome!
I just got into the humidifier game dude to I got Covid-19. After 3-4 days I clean mine I never understand how these things get so much bacteria, mine isn’t to bad like a little red bacteria on it. I just bought one of those fish things to put in so it fights bacteria.
What's a fish thing? Thanks
Very helpful. Thank you so much for this ⭐️
You are welcome!
Even if instruction manual just says to clean with water?
You have fantastic energy my man! Question, I don't have vinegar handy, but I do have rubbing alcohol. Can I use that?
The rubbing alcohol wont work. You need an acid.
There is a grey curvature piece that goes in the base of mine. Anybody know how it goes back in after vleaning
This is the most fun I've ever had watching a cleaning tutorial 😂 the humidifier in my house is somewhat sketchy so hopefully this can make me feel better about using it!
Glad you enjoyed the video!😁
I also learned a trick if you take two teaspoons of lemon juice and add it to your humidifier tank it will deodorize the water and it will give your house a nice fresh lemon scent
This was the best video I've seen on how to clean my humidifier. Many thanks
Happy to help
I got the same model but ion have just regular distilled vinegar I have apple cider vinegar at hand will that work if not is there another way to clean it
I wouldn't recommend apple cider vinegar because that stuff is very expensive. I would just get a jug of regular vinegar from Wal-Mart for cheap.
Very helpful! I got the og model of this from a yard sale and the previous owner must have never cleaned the heating element so it was just full of build up! Your video both showed me how to clean it and what it was supposed to look like! Thanks so much!
Happy to help!
To avoid this please add clean purified water to prevent any calcium or magnesium or other water contaminants buildup
Very true
Can you use CLR to clean the humidifier?
I recommend the vinegar.
This was so informative and helpful!! Thank you for making this video :D
Happy to help
That's alot of vinegar to buy in today's economy. Also using distilled water is the best recommendation . Tap water is bad
He’s so excited. 😂 I have the same humidifier. This was a huge help!
Glad you found the video valuable🙂
You crack me up!!! So fun! So cute! You actually get me excited to clean my humidifier!! Quick question... could you recommend a larger humidifier to moisten a larger area? My bedroom is huge and I think my Vicks is a smidge small. Thanks!!!
Good to hear from you, glad you are enjoying the videos!! No ma'am I don't have any specific humidifier recommendations. If I was in your situation I would just shop on Amazon like everyone else looking at the ratings.
Those are great tips BUT (just an FYI) that is a vaporizer, not a humidifier, hence the heating element. Regardless, I still found this helpful for cleaning my daughter's humidifier, so thank you.
You are welcome! Whats the difference in the two?
@@CleanWithConfidence A vaporizer has a heating element and creates steam to add moisture to the air, so it can actually cause a room to feel warmer, or even muggy in certain climates (like where I live in GA). A humidifier puts cool mist into the air by way of a small high-speed fan that wicks up water particles.
Thanks for technical info...sort of common sense....but they both humidify the air thus increasing humidity.
why vinegar and not bleach?
Ever thought about being in commercials?
Sometimes👍🙂
Mine is only 3 weeks old. Not sure I would need to do this.
You do
How many times did he say Vinegar
Bought the same model about a year ago. Using it for humidifying my houseplants, now the thing is leaking water. Took it apart the other night and cleaned everywhere, alot of gunk came off the heating element area, and it's still leaking? Not sure what more I need to clean or fix
Mine is a cool mist ! Can u brush that with a still bristle brush
Yes
Please use distilled water.
Correct👍
Did you lose your cat??? Lol
Ha! No ma'am he is actually sitting right on my desk lol.
So you don’t have to use bleach afterwards?
No ma’am. Bleach is nothing more than a disinfectant. It’s not a cleaner.
My humidifier has a much smaller hole and i cant get the film off the inside...particularly on one side of it. I have a crane cone shaped one. Any tips?
Does this work with warm and cool humidifiers?
Yes
Love this cleaning tip but i do have a question how many times can i clean my humidifer during the year when Im not using it?
What make & model is your humidifier? I love that the tank has a big opening where I'd be able to reach my hand in. Mine sux & looking to replace
a great household item that I use and maintain with joy
🙂
howdy! thanks for the lesson, how often would you recommend doing this routine? thanks!
Happy to help! Just whenever it needs it. It varies depending on the hardness of the water.
Question if you use a humidifier daily, how often she it be cleaned ? Once a month? Once a season?
Thats a variable because it depends on how hard the water is where you live. If you see that heating element crusting up its time to clean it.
@@CleanWithConfidence understood! Lol I was gonna be extra anyways and use essentia water but thanks
I’m glad I only have a two part one, I just need to clean the filter separate from the other two
I have the same humidifier and cant get that heating clean up its like a stone already
3:39 that’s what she said
My hole is not big enough. What do I do? Mold inside the tank.
what brand of humidifier is that? it looks good!
We use distilled water so that avoids the scale
Yes that is the best thing to do👍🙂
Me (an empath): vinegar might be helpful
How often would you clean the humidifier 🤔
Not gonna lie seeing yours dirty for some reason makes me believe you more not being funny I guess because it truly shows results thank you
Happy to help

Está debajo del dial
great enthusiasum. and nice shout out to Dawn dishsoap.
Glad you enjoyed the video 🙂
Very interesting…it helped a lot…good instructions..
Glad you found the video valuable!!
How do you clean fans
that costs a lot of vinegar! Do we really need that much?
Well, you have to fully submerge any part that has limescale buildup to soak, otherwise you'll have a partially cleaned heating element.
I big bottle of vinegar is one of the cheapest cleaners that you can buy. You should always have it around for faucets, coffee pots, vaporizers, laundry, floors and just about anything. I always have a handle on the house especially now when my favorite cleaners are hard to find.
My humidifier looks like new and is working better. Thanks so much!!
happy to help
how often should i clean?
You didn't use bleach to clean the base and tank? I had a Sunbeam warm mist humidifier and used bleach for the tank only once every month or two and didn't have any trouble with mold growth. I think mold growth is just a problem for cool mist humidifiers.
No I don't use the bleach. The vinegar will kill it as well.
I normally use vinegar but mine looked very bad when i took it out for the season. I cleaned with dawn and vinegar. Now I’m letting a small water and bleach solution run through it, on slow, outside for a couple hours.
Confidence 💪
Yes👍🙂
Very Funny!
Glad you enjoyed the video
