Happy, you really should play as a summoner on your next playthrough. Summoner recieved a new mechanics with all the whips added. Edit: Plus you did not make your How Op series on a summoner one.
Sluggish actually increases whip length the most, whips for some reason get more length with less attack speed it seems like a bug. Sluggish whips are pretty nice though and I found it really helped, a lot of people are upgrading whips and actually making them weaker and harder to hit with.
Happy, I’m not sure if you know this but a faster speed on whip weapons actually shorten your whip range, so you might want a sluggish modifier to get the longest range on your whip without loosing damage

A small detail I recently discovered, you can use the power glove to swing your whips continuously. I recommend the new flesh gloves which gives you the power glove ability with additional defense.
Also happy days, I recommend looking at the santa tank mount and the brain scrambler mount. Mounts are affected by summon damage, so you could use that for your "OP Summoner" thing, or even for this playthrough to dish out even MORE dps since mounts should be affected by summon tag damage too.
You should do a video called "How op can you be in Terraria" and at each stage of the game you collect the most OP items available to completely destroy the bosses. Yes I know about the op series but what about a video with a certain but just the most op items available.

They should have made the slime staff craftable with some wood and slime. It would make early game summoner a lot easier to get in to.
