Thanks for the inspiration! I love Becca, the happily ever crafter. I took her course in calligraphy. She is an awesome teacher. She has excellent videos. It takes a lot of practice, but it can be very relaxing. It is almost a meditative experience to get out of your head and write letters over and over.
Hi! I’m new to your channel, but not to calligraphy so much. I am the opposite of you though in that I have only dabbled with watercolor but calligraphy is my passion. So I have tip from my experiences….you can also do this with a calligraphy pen (with a nib) and “paint” the watercolor onto the back of the nib with a brush instead of dipping it into ink. This is really cool since you can actually make some watercolor magic happen in the nib even before it is put to paper! Thought that would be a fun tip for someone that may be on the other end of this watercolor/calligraphy spectrum! Happy creating and thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and talent!
Absolutely love everything about you and your style of teaching. I am wondering if you could give some suggestions as to how to do lettering on a painting done on cold press water color paper? You mention that rough paper is hard to do lettering on and that is what I am struggling with right now. I spend hours doing a painting on cold press paper and then ruin it with the "bump bump bump" lettering. Thanks so much

Interesting, from the way you describe them, it sounds like those liquid watercolours are dye based. I might try this with my fountain pen inks!
