Obrigada for your Portuguese knitting vids! My Mom and Aunt taught me to knit - they are Portuguese, which makes me half Portuguese - and since they are many states away and don't skype, your vids have helped me learn how to make these increases and decreases.

Thank you for these videos. This style of knitting doesn’t make my hands cramp.

One thing I'd like to mention is if you are doing a YO and then SSK, be careful. I was doing this on my current pattern and losing the yarn over. I did figure out what was happening, when you do the YO, the yarn is on the bottom, so when you flip it over the back needle, if it is over the front one, you inadvertently pull through all 3 loops instead of 2 if you are not careful. Good thing a YO is an easy fix if you catch it right away. I am loving Portuguese Knitting, it is a nice break from Continental for when my left hand gets tired. Thanks Staci :)

I have been knitting my own socks for years. I would like to try in Portuguese but I always use circular needles doing both socks at same time. Otherwise I would never have two alike. I seem to knit fine once I get started but starting each row seems to not work well. Is it just the awkwardness of changing a habit or am I not doing something right?

As always: I love your videos!!!
Just a little tiny comment about the types of decreases (please don't get me wrong, I absolutely LEARN with you!): I would really thanks if you put some kind of flying mark, sign or note saying what kind of thing you are doing I.E.: you say "key ef be" (KFB) and (thankyouuuu!!!! later on say) "Knit Front Back"; but is difficult for us who don't speak/write english very well, to understand the abreviations while triying to translate on our language: "t1dr" tejer un punto del derecho y del revés) :P is like multitasking :)

When working fair isle in the round I have to reverse the pattern's reading direction. Should I also reverse the way the decreases lean?
The original pattern is read (from right to left - so not in Portuguese style) K,K,K2t,K,K,Kfb,K,K. When reading from left to right, should I then "mirror" the decreases, or should I read it like P,P,Pfb,P,P,P2t,P,P?
I hope you understand my question.

Yes - if the pattern calls for a right-leaning decrease (k2tog) on the RS of the work, you'll want to work a left-leaning decrease on the WS of the work (ssk or ssp) to make it appear on the RS the way the designer intended.

      Thank you.
Since I already knit the decreases yesterday, and then afterwards asked because it looked a bit funky, I now have 30 wrong leaning stitches two rows below (knitting a bottom-up Afmæli icenaldic sweater by Istex). It would really annoy me if I had to rip out the 258 stitches I have on a row to fix it. Can I drop down stitches and repair/reverse the leaning decreases instead? Do you have any videos on fixing wrong leaning stitches on rows below?

I would definitely use sharp tips for that stitch, p2tog through back loops. and knit in a relaxed fashion.

thank you for putting the playlist together, whenever you add to it will automatically go to my saved playlist, Correct ? +VeryPink Knits

Not sure - if you've created your own playlist, videos will not automatically be saved that I add. But if you've linked to my playlist, the playlist will update as I add new videos.
