Leopard Gecko i know you probably won’t respond but i has a question about using a deep heat projector. I’m just worried about how he’ll greg heat when he’s inside his warm hide, because he usually stays inside.
Koli Bennett-Bose make sure you use a heat mat too because it the gecko doesn’t absorb enough heat from it or the hide doesn’t take in enough your gecko will not be able to digest food
@@leopardgeckotalk thank you :) I named her that because she's bright yellow like the sun. PS she's not the one in my profile picture, that's my oldest gecko Pearl
It's always great to see people realise their mistakes and improve on them with fantastic results. I moved my gecko from a pretty sterile tank to a bioactive vivarium twice as big. She visibly improved and has done very well during her first year in there. My mealworm clean up crew (now aided by springtails) hasn't destroyed the plants so they seem to be an exception to the rule but that could change. Funny gecko story: I came up last night to see my gecko standing with straight legs staring out of the vivarium, tail low and not wagging it. I knew it wasn't me because she has just kept laying there in the past. I got into bed and looked at her trying to figure out what she was trying to intimidate. Then, I realised she was looking at the doors. It hit me. She was trying to intimidate her reflection. I don't know if this is anything to worry about but it was funny when I saw it.
My favorite is when she sees me getting her food ready, on the outside of the tank & she has to try flying through the glass to get it at least once....per feeding lol

Very cool! Thank you for sharing. I've heard of people repotting their plants in a new substrate a few months before going into enclosure. The people who do this say it helps removes toxins. However, I'm not sure how much truth is in it. So I guess I'll buy from online reptile shops, just to be safe.
I get some of mine from Garden Centres, but it's my local one and I've asked them whether the plants are sprayed with anything, they said they only spray roses. I then wash the plant and replant it in advance, never had a problem :) But reptile shops are also a great place to shop :)

Hi, so I get a ball python soon, but I’ve decided to hold off until I get my leopard gecko a better setup, I want to switch him into a 40 gallon so the ball python could use his old 20 gallon
I have a question, my gecko (crested) loves to EAT dirt. Any sort of loose substrate she loves to eat, even reptile carpet. What can I use to make my tank more interesting without real plants and dirt?
Sometimes the act of eating the environment could be due to a lack of vitamins, they'll do this in the wild the obtain the vitamins/minerals they're lacking. Are you offering enough food, is the live food dusted? and are you offering a diet like pangea or repashy that contains the necessary vits?
Leopard Gecko Yes, I have tried every single food (and flavor of Pangea and Repashy). Every bug that a gecko could eat with different supplements. Yet still she chooses to eat her dirt. She now has just paper towel and fake plants. 😭
How do you care for the succulents? Can they handle a grow light? It is a infrared light enough for them? I am great with plants but new to the leopard gecko world. And also I have eco earth as substrate and noticed you have soil what kind of soil is ok? No perlite obv in it right?
Is there a way that you recommend that helps the gecko determine whether it’s day or night? I have lights on in my room at night, and want to still make sure my gecko thinks it’s nighttime.
If you’ve got lights on in your room all night, cover your gecko’s enclosure at night. During the day indirect light from a window is usually sufficient for a day/night cycle. You could also use LED lighting, linear UVB, or a halogen bulb for heating.
i know you probably won’t see this but I’m getting my leopard gecko tm or in a few day and I’m really excited tysm for all the info and care on how to take care of them and handle them I love ur videos and I’m getting ur merch for my birthday (June 10th) 💞💞💞

Ah nice! Glad the video helped, I know when I first thought about going bioactive with my Crested Gecko I had to gather lots of info on what plants are safe, so when I could I wanted to put them all in one video :D Thank you :D
Can i do a tank with say eco earth let it dry a bit but not add bugs like cant u just replace the dirt instead and just use air plants for decor and wouldnt it be better to have a place with no dirt for feeding or is the eco earth being injested not a concern
Eco earth can be dusty and hard on their joints. Reptisoil or organic top soil (without fertilizer or perlite, Scott’s is a good brand) would be much better. Ingesting substrate is not a concern, they’ll pass it easily with the proper temps.
This is so great to see, I don’t have any geckos myself yet but I’m getting a crestie this year (I keep saying I’ll be keeping it at that. But I just know I’ll be getting a leopard gecko too. Those little faces. Just) I was wondering, is there any way of submitting enclosure photos for these types of videos apart from instagram etc? I don’t use social media but I would love to get more involved :) thanks!
I need help with my setup. I’m sooo confused and I have no idea what’s best. There’s so much conflicting info. Long story short. Will a heat mat, ceramic heater, and UVB bulb be sufficient for my Leo?
I'd love to do bioactive for my leopard gecko but I'm only 14 and i dont have the money for it im hoping once schools out that i can do a HUGE makeover of her tank her names Meemo.
I am thinking about getting a DHP, When I first turn it on, is it a good idea to lower the temperature on the heat mat until it is unplugged, creating the transition easier for my gecko?
Dang I missed the submission for this, I'll have to start paying attention more. I've changed up all my vivariums and my 16 year old leopard gecko Roxy is loving it (:

Can i do a tank with say eco earth let it dry a bit but not add bugs like cant u just replace the dirt instead and just use air plants for decor and wouldnt it be better to have a place with no dirt for feeding or is the eco earth being injested not a concern
Eco earth can be dusty and hard on their joints. Reptisoil or organic top soil (without fertilizer or perlite, Scott’s is a good brand) would be much better. Ingesting substrate is not a concern, they’ll pass it easily with the proper temps.
Love your lizard's
I love this channel so much she helps a lot with her advice like below if you love this channel
Aw thank you so much :)
When I’m bored I watch your videos or play with my little leopard gecko
How do we send a picture to you for a cage/ virtually fix the enclosure and review the enclosure
I love ur videos I'm watching with my leopard gecko Poncho who I got yesterday any tips for a new gecko owner
I’ve discovered these rocks that sticks to the side of your tank with magnets and they have hides , food bowls there made by Pet tekk magnaturals
Oh yeah I've seen some of the magnatural things, they look cool :) I think the one in the video is an exo terra one that is stuck. :)
How do you clean these kind of tanks? So many crevices and cracks
YASS
I need help with my setup. I’m sooo confused and I have no idea what’s best. There’s so much conflicting info. Long story short. Will a heat mat, ceramic heater, and UVB bulb be sufficient for my Leo?
I'd love to do bioactive for my leopard gecko but I'm only 14 and i dont have the money for it im hoping once schools out that i can do a HUGE makeover of her tank her names Meemo.
What photo shop app/website do u use? And does anyone have photoshop recommendations?
Wait you guys in UK are still in lockdown? I’ve been back to work for almost 3 months already
How big should a tank be for one gecko? And is it better to have one or a group of geckos together?
I am thinking about getting a DHP, When I first turn it on, is it a good idea to lower the temperature on the heat mat until it is unplugged, creating the transition easier for my gecko?
You could do that.
Will you do this again? I just recently got my first reptile, and I need to know if I’m doing everything wrong, qvq.
Dang I missed the submission for this, I'll have to start paying attention more. I've changed up all my vivariums and my 16 year old leopard gecko Roxy is loving it (:
Aww sweet! :)
