Wow Katrina I loved seeing how the transfers are made. Knowing the screen printing process I couldn't figure out how they made the transfers in an economical way, but now I know! I screen printed in industry settings throughout the 1970's, and back then WE were the technology! It was hard work! Almost everything was done manually. Even a huge amount of the films for creating the images to be applied to the screens were all hand illustrated directly on the film. All of it was massively time consuming! The technology that TKO uses here just blows me away! Makes my current home use of screen printing for crafting rather sad, very old school, but still effective!
They have definitely mastered the technology and shows how far we’ve come.

Thank you so much! I recently retired and will be 79 next month and have made a few Christmas things but a beginner. Not on social media but have been watching lots of videos. I really love all your videos and especially this one. Now I have to figure out a design that may sell. I have a Cricut Maker and the Easy Press right now. Live in a small town in TX and have been thinking about maybe starting by consignment sales with local shops.
I’ve worked in the printing industry since high school (Vo-Tech), screen printing, gravure, litho and flexo… I haven’t done screen printing since the 90’s, it’s interesting to see the technological advancements that have been made in that area. Great video as always.

Hi Katrina, are these transfers from TKO only for fabric? I was wondering if they can also be transferred to ceramic.

I use photoshop but the files I used are already made and I just open them. I showed it in the video. I didn’t design these files

Hi Katrina! i would like to ask, what do you do when someone sends you a grammatically incorrect(sorry for my english grammar tho xD) word or name in their order? As there is this guy (example name)"Alex johnson" and he wanted to get a name decoy with his name shortened but he did this "A Johnson." When the correct form should be "A. Johnson" at least in my language the dot goes after the name you want to shorten. I corrected it but he said he wants it that way. 😆 So would you just let them make their mistake or you would correct them and tell them it's incorrect? 😅
I always double check with them. Just make sure that’s how they want it that’s all. Better to be safe than sorry.

It’s not a “full color process”. They using a direct to film printer. It’s not a screen print. Two separate methods. I love how the show you that they are charging each customer a minimum of a $25 set up and then gang sheeting all those designs and making bank of that fee alone.
The background was too loud
thats a bunch of extra work to make some transfers. DTF is way better in terms of making money. Cant pay supacolor or tko transfer prices for slightly better quality. just doesnt make sense
