Thanks man. Replaced the fuel pump in my 2000 year Volvo fm420. It runs smoothly now. Watching your video made the job a lot easier! So thank you.

If you have a 06 or 07 D12 your alternator mounts with four bolts through the case different from this video.

I would like to know what was the problem and how it worked after replacing the pressure pump

I had the same problem with low fuel pressure. The dealer replaced fuel pump, accessory drive, and both egr valves. I still get a check fuel filter light when I pull a big hill loaded.

That's crazy, I wonder if you may have a fuel line trying ti collapse or pinched somewhere.

I called and talked to the service manager and he said sometimes a banjo fitting between the drivers side tank and the filter base gets trash in it creating a restriction. My truck is a 07 Volvo vhd day an with a d12 my dad bought new in 2006.

@@BryanDouglasSin that makes sense, it could be sucking air at the filter housing as well. I think I may have that problem myself right now when it's super cold outside in the morning, some days it will be hard to start and I have to cut the prime on (electric prime on this one) and cracked the bleeder on the filter housing to get the air out of it. Something is drawing up when it's that cold and let's it lose prime overnight. Don't do it when it's warm outside though. It's strange.

@@ASCOTTY84 I call the service departments and ask a lot of questions when I have problems. They told me on the d12’s like we’ve got, the filter base is notorious for that and it needs to be replaced. They keep them in stock at my local Volvo dealer in Madison Al. That tells me it’s normal to replace them. We’ve spent close to $10,000.00 on this truck in the last month. We haven’t spent that much on it since it was new aside from diesel, oil and filter kits and tires since it was new.

@@BryanDouglasSin well I appreciate that information ill get one amd go ahead amd replace it then that way I won't have to worry about it when it turns cold again. Aside from odd and end things that is normal wear and tare it's been a good truck so far!

Looks like Volvo . . . (and all the others !) sell lots of parts. The more stuff you have on a vehicle, the more you've got to replace. ... sigh . .. ...
