The video itself is very good. I would include tools that are used in the description. With the way things are going a lot of drivers are going to be doing a lot of repairs themselves if that’s not already the case.
I had a similar problem and what I found was the fuel fittings at the bottom of the fuel tanks were not tightened very well at the factory and became loose and developed a leak that allowed air into the supply line up to the fuel filter housing. Double check to make sure your fittings underneath your fuel tanks are in good shape if you have priming issues before condemning your filter housings
So I had the same problem that over time it would get harder and harder to start in the morning. What I found was a 10 cent o ring that needed to be replaced under that allen wrench plug to the right of the hand pump. It took about 30 minutes to repair. Volvo manual says you cannot get air in the system from the plunger pump itself. Hope this helps. Easy first place to go to. Good luck.
Did you buy the o ring from the dealer? Was there fuel leaking from it before you replaced it? By the way on my other fuel filter housing when i opened the prime pump fuel would leak from the pump itself where the spring is so i think that area could go bad.

Also if it was sitting for more than one day. It’s hard to start. The other time it starts very fast even if it was sitting for 6 hours. I had no start at all. It feels like fuel was going back to the tank. Have changed the housing and filters, starts like a brand new truck. Thanks for the vid Would you make a vid for front/rear brake adjustment?
Is hard start the only symptoms with it getting air or will it make it kind of surge too when you're driving? Mine is hard to start, if I let it sit more than 20 minutes. But also kind of feels like it bucks and surges sometimes at higher rpm at highway speed in 11th gear, and takes forever and a day sometimes to accelerate even with an empty trailer, will lose speed climbing a hill.

But i took the truck in shop and they replaced the fuel filter and it was starting really good however next day it started doing same thing again. I did replace the fuel filter and water seperator and starts right up after a day it will gradually get worse and worse. Could this problem be the fuel pump? The second day it vibrates and looses the power I just primed it now and it’s working fine. I did check the return line in the fuel tank on high rpm but there’s no bubbles coming to the tank. Any advise? Thanks in advance.

I have a Dxi 11 engine problem. When the engine is cold it starts fine and when the engine is hot the engine is difficult to start. Long star, but there are no errors in Panel and NG10. Can help with the problem.

D12 ENGINE KNOWN PROBLEM cheap fix ! Fuel check valve go to your volvo parts store and tell them Diagram you need 2 check valves diagram number #19(which will fix the problem) second big check valve #8 done ! I've spent 8k changed injector cups and injectors fuel filter housing and fuel water separator housing accessorie drive and fuel pump nothing fixed the problem it was loosing prime and it takes forever to turn it on or if you prime it manually it turns on right away ,,,,,,#19 fixed my problem but unfortunately that was the last move the shop did !!!! Here is the catch (volvo dealership has only 1 check valve in their system) if you ask for the second check valve they won't be able to find it because of labeling,,, its not classified as a check valve !!!!! When I told them give me number 19 he brought a bolt with a thick head that had a hole in the middle and a spring in the center with a small ball on the top ,,,,,this small check valve keeps your fuel rail pressure when uou turn the truck off its located 10cm next to the big fuel check valve that's located on top od the engine

@@zacknahed1933 if fuel housing bad when you try to hand pump it you will see fuel coming out from it piston because gasket is bad. If you see fuel when pumping it definitely will be housing bad. I would do is tell them to replace fuel filter housing first and see if problem fixed if didn't have to troubleshoot more. In my case it was fuel filter housing I replaced it and truck starts fight away now. But buy OEM not Chinese crap

I got ecm maintenance required with one code for temp control valve..I replaced it and the fault went away..no CEL no more fault codes.. I can prime start it but it cuts off after about 10sec...I can hear a little air from around the fuel filter housing after I prime it..I lose prime almost instantly

I just replaced all injectors at shop. After job done this fuel pump push down and locked but after driving few miles it will unlocked automatically. Do you know why? they should fixed it for me without charge. Because they after injectors replaced use that pump to start my truck and driving test.
Bad Injectors or cups are the cause of long cranking 90% of the time with D13. Idle the engine hugher rpm, get a flashlight and look inside the fuel tank, if you see air bubbles coming out of fuel retur pipe, most likely needs one or more injectors.

По трассе переодически загорается чек низкое давление топлива, держишь газ в пол и метров чере 500 опять едет норм. Началось это после того как поменял стаканы на форсунках. Когда прокачивали топливо из под качка солярка течет. До этого качек стоял нетроганным лет 6. Возможно что из под него затягивает воздух теперь? Или под какой нибудь клапан попал мусор?

Check the davco for debris in the inlet side. Sometimes the spring and ball doesn't seal properly.

No fault codes on dash, just hard start! I don't remember the part number!

Somewhere air is getting into the fuel lines!

Hard start could be due to various reasons...mine was injectors...after I replaced injectors and injector cups everything was perfect.
Right could be a lot of reasons, and this is one of them very common for Volvo d13

I am not a poor guy, and I am not Russian, this is our truck and exactly this was my problem, long crank time was because of bad fuel filter module!
And also long crank can be caused by a lot of factors, not only bad injectors and cups!

It have nothing to do with cranking! If the engine it's no cranking check your starter motor!
It's just turning over like it don't have fuel pressure but if push air through the tank it starts up
