I miss these movies. Moving on from 2D? Fine. But these stories? The cast? The effort making these beautiful, emotional, powerful, and meaningful? PLEASE DON'T STOP. EVERRRRR. I struggle enough looking at DreamWorks' modern movies lately. I keep going back to these and tear up. Thank you so much for providing this soundtrack. We have the Prince of Egypt soundtrack on CD already, now we need this. Thank you and bless you all!
I am from China, and it is hard to forget that I saw this movie in my music class in my first year of junior high school. 14. The Marketplace gave me a great shock, just like when the male lead came to the capital for the first time, Egypt's ancient, mysterious, supreme glory, brought me a great shock
I grew up with this movie, but I only recently "rediscovered" it, and now, as an adult who loves singing and actively studies vocalist techniques, I am BLOWN AWAY by the belting power of whoever sang Joseph's role! Really beautiful notes at the end of "Miracle Child" and "Better Than I".
Dreamworks created a timeless classic that brings people out of the darkness. Joseph was humbled and redeemed every time his mother gave him advice and sung to him. When imprisoned in Egypt Joseph saw a comforting essence and spirit in asnath which was similar to his mom. Asnath cared for Joseph even when he was locked up and didn’t care if he was a peasant/slave in her eyes he was still a human being.
I watched this when I was a small boy. Now I'm 25 and I still watch it sometimes. If you enjoyed this go watch the Prince of Egypt. And Kingdom of Heaven extended cut(gotta have the extended edition)
I watched this when i was younger too. It was harder for me to watch because it was a sad story. I remember "miracle child" and "bloom". The "bloom" song made me cry every single time because Rachel never saw her son ever again after that.
Beautiful Music! I just rewatched this movie, it was great! It has been awhile since watching it last and the music, the story is so powerful, moving. It has always been one of my favorite movies along with “Prince of Egypt”! Love it so much! 💕💗
"😟😔Our brother was not killed by wolves. We were blinded by jealousy and sold him into slavery. For 20 years, we've lived with that guilt. But we can't go back without the boy... 🥺My father could not bear it a second time, and neither can we. If anyone is to be punished, 😢😫it should be us." 52:50 "🥺🥺🥺 ..... 😢I won't harm any of you or our father. 🥹... *I* am your brother, Joseph."
Why can’t I find this soundtrack anywhere? Spotify? No. Amazon music? No. What’s going on here? And “Better Than I” is literally saving my life right now.
The soundtrack in this and The Prince of Egypt both tie as my favorite movie soundtracks ever, they're both beautiful to listen to in their own ways. Now the score in this isn't that good as Hans Zimmer's score in Prince, but Danny Pelfrey really did an excellent job on the score for this film. The songs are not on par with the ones from Prince, but for a direct-to-video musical film, they're good enough. (Well, expect for Whatever Road's at Your Feet which is pretty forgettable.)

For your edification, Joseph's singing voice was provided by Australian singer David Campbell; and I agree, his voice is phenomenal.
@@jordanbriskin238 Thank you! I immediately went and found out who it was.
Me too.
Me too, I also grew up with the song and I think we all have the comparison in life. 🙂 ( I meant I grew up with the movie and even as a kid)

When Joseph's brothers said at 2:04 "he's one of us, we'll keep him from harm" 👀👀

They made a terrible decision, but I think they regretted it a lot. May God have mercy on their souls.

But Joseph from the Bible has brown eyes and brown hair.🤦♀️
I’m pretty sure the artistic style represents light brown in the hair and hazel brown in the eyes which is also seen in middle eastern ethnicities :)!
