@Xi Le. I use Firefox, no problems with any resolution all the way up to 8K. How RUclips will "serve" you the video will mostly depend on your monitor resolution, whether your web browser is only a small window or full screen, and bandwidth. The higher the resolution on the uploaded video the more bandwidth you need. I have 1Gbit down, so I always get the resolution I want, but if you only have let's say 20Mbit down, it might not be able to display the video without serious buffering and RUclips chooses to reduce the resolution instead (If you have it on auto).
For higher bit rates and better stabilization I️ would recommend the FilmicPro app on the App Store, You have all the features you can want Not to mention you can also shot videos in LOG
The GH5 was anyday better, there's absolutely no doubt about that, it beats the iPhone by a long shot! But I have to agree that the iPhone has come a long way and to think about it being a phone it's does pretty good in comparison to a professional grade camera. So kudos to that👏
Sure, your are right. The GH5 is a better camera.. But it's just a camera, now the iPhone...It's impressive that an Phone, that costs 500 bucks less and does much more that video/photos, can be even compared with a professional camera.
In terms of details and when you’re watching on a big screen. But from youtube? You wouldn’t even notice the quality difference. Infact one might prefer the color saturation and the dynamic range on the iPhone.
That's done by software automatically, which doesn't happen on the GH5. In other words it's just processing that can be done in post. For people that know what they're doing with color grading, this isn't an issue, and they would prefer to make those adjustments themselves. But for people that don't know anything, having that done automatically would probably give them better results.
Would be interesting to see how to bitrate holds up when filmic pro is updated for the iPhone X since filmic pro supports up to 100Mbit. There is also a log option for a bit more dynamic range.
In the first scene, the GH5 looks overexposed. IPhoneX looks like it's doing a bit of HDR in the video from the skies... Impressive that they can do that 😮
I'm surprised everyone in their office preferred the iPhone video, I thought A was the smartphone video right away because of the loss in sharpness in the vegetation.
All the videos on my channel are filmed with my iPhone 6s :) A lot of videographers ask me which DSLR i use and when I tell them I only use my iPhone, they almost didn't believe me !
At 3:50 with GH5 it seems you are walking in the early morning and summer just started by looking to the bushes and trees and with Iphone it seems it's noon around 11 am . And summer is ending. Iphone did really a great job against $2000 dollars camera that's surprising.
the difference is sweeping shots 4k@60fps with h.265 from wikipedia "In most ways, HEVC is an extension of the concepts in H.264/MPEG-4 AVC. Both work by comparing different parts of a frame of video to find areas that are redundant, both within a single frame as well as subsequent frames" and knowing iPhone X caps out at 100mbps write speed after the cpu compresses the pixel information
I don't get this video. At least, shoot at 100 Mbits and flat on the iPhone with FiLMiC Pro (same for the GH5) and grade them in post to really compare the two sensors. Or even easier, get your exposure right on the GH5 with the default color profile (or similar to what Apple does). Yes, iPhones can produce quality work when you know what you're doing, but in this video you make a pro (Micro 4/3 tho) camera look like crap.
Brought along Canon 80D and my newly bought Iphone 8 plus to my recent Canada trip. Ended up I used the Iphone 8 plus for video throughout the whole trip. The video quality just blown me away too.
The rear camera on the Pixel 2 camera is pretty trashy. The front portrait camera kills the iPhone X camera, but the rear cameras are much better than the Pixel, not to mention the 4K@60fps on the iPhone.
Im not saying you are wrong but the pixel 2 beat the iphone 8 on all the reviews i saw. The iphone x has the same sensor... Im not saying you're wrong but do you have any comparisons ?
4k at 60 fps lowers the dynamic range in iPhoneX so it's still lame compared to Samsungs 4k at 30 fps with wide dynamic range. Not to mention ,you're an Apple fanboy pretending to be Android fan , Google pixel got its crown in camera department cuz of its Rear camera.Damn Ifans like you are so cheap to promote the lame iPhoneX :) nice but cheap American way.And don't forget pixel hold the crown for highest DOX Camera rating
On the brick wall it looks like the iPhone uses image processing similar to the DETAIL slider in Lightroom etc. It remakes most pictures but is of course a "fake" post production effect baked in.
Really? You're manipulating the GH5 footage _to look like the iPhone_ and the other way around? That's a bit disingenuous. You literally ruined the colours of the GH5. And then talking about the overcontrasty and oversaturating nature of the iPhone like it's something professionals would want? _Professionals want true-to-life reproduction_ and not overcontrasty, oversaturated and oversharpened footage. 0/10

I agree. I am going to upgrade to the iPhone Xs and have the Freevision Vilta M, a killer combo. For just family vlogging or travel that is such a nice lightweight combo because your phone is always with you and the Freevision Vilta M gimbal is small and works so well plus pretty high quality. Excellent video and very needed.
Thank you for the professional review. It helps seal my validation of the iPhone X 256GB I just purchased. With 200GB free to record video, I feel comfortable using it overseas as my travelogue maker. The quality I got out of the iPhone 6 Plus 1080p was fantastic and now I feel better to have iPhone's 4K 60FPS. I've told my professional photographer friends about the logic of the iPhone + iMovie video finalizer when shooting Vlogs and they haven't bit yet. I will show them your video. My RUclips has used iPhone almost exclusively for vlogs. It pays for itself every single month.
Great video. As a photographer who has used nearly every brand of camera I honestly thought that that those clips marked A at the start were shot on the GH5........so I was more than surprised when they turned out to be from the iPhone X ...also the window shot in the contrasting light where you had quite a range the iPhone X was absolutely amazing with no blown out highlights on those white windows. The brick wall looked so good as did the gimbal shots. As you said at the start it's the phone that most people take photographs with, you only have to go to a concert or somewhere touristy and the lack of conventional cameras is so noticeable. Now that it's possible (in good light) to create really professional looking video footage on such a small bit of kit.....well.....we live in interesting times ! Great job !
Clorox Bleach because since this was a video centric smartphone video I guessed I could suggest a smartphone better suited for video and that costs less...you tell me
Hint for an additional comparison: Changing lenses, bokeh, using it for videos with a flat profile, actual HDR workflow, sound quality with external microphones, checking sound with headphones while filming... To be honest: The fact that small image sensors performing well under bright sunlight conditions isn't new at all.
Best ending ever. I thought the GH5 was better all the way through, and I like its colors better too, but that's my personal taste. The iPhone X camera does indeed look impressive, specially for a cell phone camera and I am truly blown away.
Thank you. Just one thing: when doing lots of dynamic videos do you typically film vertical or horizontal...I just have the feeling that the horizontal filming looks really so limited but maybe it is my settings. What do you think please?👍🏻
Your Answers actually where I live a lot of people do professional photos with their iPhone. And they turned out amazing :) oh, and they didn’t get slapped
At the end of the day the Iphone X is perfectly capable to be used for specific types of B-Roll and is also great for Vloggers as long as you find a way to record solid audio into your phone or a zoom. I work in Los Angeles where film and tv production is at the highest level and I can assure you this phone will show up in films, tv shows and local news reporting. I have already seen NBC.com news streaming app have footage from an Iphone 8 handheld while they were in a hotel. This will just eventually be used with a gimbal in a lot of situations.
I think the big diference between a cellphone and a camera is the bokeh effect and blur effect in the background using specific lenses...for me is a big win for a camera...but, if someday we can have the same effect, game over for the "pro" cameras.
The Google Pixel 2 may have an edge on the iPhone X when it comes to photos. But video, iPhone X takes the cake by far. Especially when it can offer 4K @ 60 and 1080 @ 240
If I am not wrong Iphone is the only smartphone available that can shoot videos at 24fps(cinematic standard). If any android device is capable of doing that please let me know
I have the iPhone 7 Plus with 4k yet when it comes to RUclips I have the app set at 480p and it still looks damn good. Even though I have good wifi and unlimited data with Verizon, I simply think 480p is very good on a 5.5” screen. It amazes me how resolution is so hyped these days... there was a time 480p was good for 36” tube tvs. I prefer balanced colors, proper exposure without highlight blow outs and graininess, quality audio and buffer free performance over 720p/1080i-p on my phone. However I prefer 1080p or 4k on my 55” and 70” led tvs.
I still prefer the gh5 because of the contrast. when you're filming you don't want to have too much contrast you want to have more of a flat profile because you want to be able to adjust that in post . maybe because I'm looking at this one on 4K TV I can really see the difference in both of them but I have to say Iphone still not bad its just that there is no comparing an cell phone to a real pro camera like a G7, GH5, sony A7s, Canon 6D, RED Camera, etc.
Great video! I just shot a GH5 for the first time and I loved it. Especially with our glass. But I also just got the iPhone X. Can’t wait to compare. Since I still am asked to mainly deliver in 720/1080p, I really could use either!
I wouldn't call it a professional video camera but it is a camera that can be used for professional video. Many people use Mirrorless for their professional work. You don't need a RED camera for every style of video haha
Agree. This is prosumer at very best. The title is just click bait. This LUMIX is not exactly what most would call “pro.” It’s not much more than the iPhone anyway. Plus wtf? Do people not immediately think about optical zoom and interchangeable lenses? Though this makes me think about DXO One a bit.
I think the above comparisons have made iPhone pretty close to a dedicated camcorder ,but what abt zooming? iPhone can only zoom 8 times where the camcorder can zoom 50 times.
Thing is, I’ll never use a phone camera if I have a choice for one simple reason: control. Manually controlling the focus, shutter speed and iso is a must have.
I'm working on a 100+ million dollar movie right now and we are using GH5's. They are 100% a professional camera. Granted we use them like you would a go pro but still...
For the form factor, and compared to its competitors, it very much is 'professional'. 10bit colour, 400mbps recording, log, anamorphic capabilities, adaptable mount. It has been used a lot in professional, high end shoots. As a b-cam shooting v-log, it matches quite well with a Varicam. It certainly is not a top of the line cinema cam, but it is a very solid b cam. It is packed full of pro features.
Very belatedly but presumably as the iPhones have fixed and fast lenses they will usually have a fast shutter speed (despite ISO 20-25 sensors), which doesn't look at all natural but does look sharper...
Idk where you’re from but this video was filmed in the U.S. and we unfortunately don’t have the quad dac in our V30. Instead LG gave us wireless charging... lmao
Oh boy here we go... In case you guys from Fstoppers read this, just take it as a constructive feedback. You neither mentioned the GH5s ability to shot in RAW video nor that it has 3 subpixel for every pixel which is very powerful for post-editing. The GH5 is suitable for professional Videography but I guess not many will chose it for actual professional work or they upgrade as soon as their budget allows it. The knock out criteria why I would NOT use the iPhone x for professional videos is: - No RAW videos makes post editing a pain - Does not film with 3 subpixels, again crappy editing capabilities - Lower megapixel count does not promote cropping - No interchangeable lenses (no good zoom) or memory card, batteries, microphones etc. - Working in field with the customer does not leave a good impression Just imagine getting a contract and your videographer appears with an iPhone on a gimbal. Does that sound professional to you? When filming independently you can use it as a second camera for short sequences no doubt. Look at the market the Apple is targeting for iPhone users: Influencers (like you), businesses and cool people who just want their device to work. The iPhone I guess is perfect for V/Blogging and has an impressive camera no doubt but other than that I does not beat a professional cam. No hate towards the iPhone but personally it’s not my cup of coffee. Just make a more researched comparison and check out www.versus.com I’m not getting any affiliate earnings from this link unlike you ;)
I wonder what sort of results you would get using an iPhone X with third party camera apps that record video with less compression. I have this great app on my iPhone 6 that allows me to manually set various frame rates, ISO - I can even boost the resolution above 1080p with some really noticeable results.
*WTF man*, video from 2 years ago where you was comparing iPhone 6S to Nikon DSLR was perfect and now something like this? Is your knowledge really that small after so many years of doing it? Ok, you said that you was trying to match GH5 footage to iPhone X. Why you didnt try to match other way - iPhone X to GH5 footage? Why this "match" have completely other colors? Bro, vectroscopes and rgb parade exists, every basic color grading tutorial is showing it because its essential! You are saying that iPhone X is more vibrant, but on this video GH5 is a lot more vibrant! WTF?! You seriously couldnt match that "wall look" from iPhone? 400Mbps, 4:2:2 LOG video isn't enough to mimic it? No, its enough, I grabbed screenshot and did it. Even my friend which is doing it from half year did that and you couldnt do that after 10+ years of experience? OF COURSE YOU COULD but for some reason you destroyed GH5 footage on purpose. by the way GH5 isnt professional by any means and I am sure you know that. Cheapest camera which you can call professional and isn't shit is Blackmagic Ursa Mini 4,6K.
When you did the gimbal test, I was going to say that since the iPhone has optical image stabilization (idk if the GH5 does) it would balance out even the gimbal, so you get even more stabilized video.
I always preferred the footage of the GH5 in this comparison but it was close sometimes and it is amazing what a high-end phone can do these days given the right conditions.
Nope, pro cameras invest much less in auto mode or jpeg engine. That's all. Take both to Lightroom or display on 4k TV and you'll see huge difference. If you consuming all your content on the phone, than yes, no need for pro camera.
You wrong and have eyes problem. I love iPhone but this GH5 camera like others pro cameras and even pro-sumer camera have a better contrast, deeper colors, smoother images and the main, works with low light and better adjust. An bigger sensor is better than the smaller sensors in smartphones but I can deny the video and pic quality in high end smartphones is great.
I asked Fstoppers to provide us with details of the song used. To deep regrets, Fstoppers are daring to comment, they probably ignore engaging with their audience and just post “one-way” videos. Luckily, the Artist of the song called “Poisonous” got it touch with me (yes… within just a few hours…. someone who dares engaging with her audience) and provided me full details. Please support Jade Naraine, she is such a talented artist, and please buy her songs on Itunes, she highly deserves it. Thanks again!
Are you joking? Lots of content creators don't have the time or desire to spend hours sifting through comments, especially when they likely receive hundreds of them a day.
Are you kidding me? Jello-fake strange effect is awfull when camera is moving and pixel blocking(few pixels making blocks for compression) is horrible on iPhone. Still not a real camera. Don't be riddicilous.
I'd like to see how the iPhone compares to the GH5 with the higher bitrate offered by Filmic Pro (which a lot of pros use). Right out of camera though, the iPhone performs remarkably well. Where it always has, and always will fall apart though is low light but even Apple can't overcome physics.
i think the iphone is better, iphone is just 1000 dollar plus play games make phonecalls ..... the gh5 is more expensive and can only take photos and dhoots vodeo
Assuming there is no gaming here of the videos, the GH5 is clearly and obviously producing a crisper image. I wonder if its just iPhone using a lower bitrate or if its a sensor issue.
It's not high-end professional like real cinema-cameras, but it IS a professional camera. Think about how many people use the GH5 to earn money off of RUclips, commercials, photography shoots etc. It's *definitely* a viable option for professional work. Yes for bigger budget movies, tv-shows and commercial it's a B cam at most, but that's far from the whole professional market.
“Professional” means PRO, top of the field. LUMIX is amateur...my Grandma on vocations shoots with this DSLR. True “professional video cameras” are Arri Alexa’s, Amira, RED etc
It's the other way around. Pro means professional. Professional means that it's used in a professional setting. If you're a professional photographer, that means you earn money by doing photography. It does _not_ mean you are top of the field one of the best photographers. Your grandma may shoot with the GH5, and people make instagram videos with Canon C-line cameras. So what? If you only count Arri Alexas, REDs and other top of the line cameras as professional then you are *severely* limiting what professional actually means. It does not mean *best of the best, top of the line*. There are several degrees of "professional", its' not just a small spectrum at the very top. Just like "race cars" can mean anything from stripped cars with 350hp, to a rally car to a Formula 1 vehicle. And again, this video (if you watched it) shows that professional work can be done on lesser quality cameras. And the GH5 *is* being used in hundreds and thousands of professional work. Even if it's just a crash cam, the B-cam or if it's the main camera.
I personally view professional cameras as ones with professional features. Your definition can be confusing/inaccurate since people probably get paid for iPhone footage too. People get paid for music videos made with an older dslr that was made for consumer use only. Do professionals use the GH5? Yes. Is the camera professional? No.
I think our differences comes down to what consider professional work. I agree the GH5 is not good enough for high end stuff. For that you need Canon C-line, Sony F-line, Arri's, REDs etc. So I do agree with you, but the GH5 is at least prosumer and maybe more, considering how many professional shoots it's being used for. There are so many new markets for video and photography now and so what's professional is sort of changing. Like Peter McKinnon and other YTers aren't *really* professionals, but at the same time they make so much money off of it that it's a new professional market. I think we need new distinctions for different types of work.
At 1:27 you can see the iPhone bitrate forces it to skimp on detail. The bitrate is set to 120 mbps so I'm just wondering what ridiculous bitrate the GH5 uses.
I agree I was blown away didn't think the camera was going to be that good picked it up in the Apple store filmed a few people walking by in 4k24p. the store was so well lit and the camera performed so damn well it looked like a commercial straight off the phone. Might would be different on a pc or tv. But damn I was blown away. I currently have the note 8 and lovin it. But if they release a plus size x might switch back over. Being that the note is lackin 4k 24p and 4k60p.
There wont be much difference if you simply compare two final or finished shots by themselves. But when you do production where the shots have to be cropped, color-graded, or simply edited some more to fit or complete a full video/film product, there lies the advantage of shots taken by cameras with the bigger sensor. You need the flexibility afforded by having rich (read: high bitrate) ingredients at your disposal. Or better go for the bigger APS or full frame sensor cameras.

Have you tried using procam 3 on the iPhone X? It’s insane
Is procam 3 free?
For higher bit rates and better stabilization I️ would recommend the FilmicPro app on the App Store,
You have all the features you can want
Not to mention you can also shot videos in LOG
That ending...
A human in disguise as a dawg.....
Hi, please test iPhone X with Filmic pro 100mb/s in 4K and turn off stabilization
yes exactly. stock app does not give those great options.
This please. Filmic Pro app at 4k with max settings.
You can’t turn off stabilization in iPhone because its built in...
Yes you can turn the digital stabilization off with the Filmic Pro app but not the optical
You can turn off the digital stabilization

BillRey thats what blew me away. I use sony because the dr on panasonic is pathetic. Sad to see it lose in that category to a phone

You should release a tutorial about how to make GH5 footage looks crappier to match the iphone footage.
In the first scene, the GH5 looks overexposed. IPhoneX looks like it's doing a bit of HDR in the video from the skies... Impressive that they can do that 😮
Because he turned up saturation and contrast on GH5. He even said that.
This was afterall,a shit comparison.
He didn't do a very good job with the GH5 footage at all!

I did som testing myself and with enough light, the iPhone camera impressed me.
I won a state video production competition with video that I shot partially on iPhone. Our school camera’s aren’t good enough for my creative vision.
I don't get this video. At least, shoot at 100 Mbits and flat on the iPhone with FiLMiC Pro (same for the GH5) and grade them in post to really compare the two sensors. Benjamin Crozat very true
Is Filmic Pro the preferred Video Camera app for the iPhone? I just purchased the X and I'm trying to load it up with all the good stuff.
Josh Boyd - Film Riot does a lot of videos on iPhone video, you may want to check them out.
And we dont know what lens were used
I subbed your channel you can do same if you want
Brought along Canon 80D and my newly bought Iphone 8 plus to my recent Canada trip. Ended up I used the Iphone 8 plus for video throughout the whole trip. The video quality just blown me away too.
I'd be curious to see the video footage difference difference between the Iphone X and the 8/8+
Looks like we are in an Apple orchard here.....
Fielding Smith the iPhone 8plus and x have the same camera
They have the same sensor and optics so no difference
Nice vizsla! I've had 4 of them in my life. Such good dogs
Do a comparison with the google pixel 2 camera.

As far as stabilization, I recommend you check out the Sony Fdr-ax33 or ax53. Those cameras take stabilization to a whole other level.
Im quite happy with my X - best phone ever
This makes me feel wayyyyy better about recording the bulk of my first videos on my iPhone X. Thank you for this comparison! Have a blessed day! 🙂
0:42 this rock...
Ricardo Correia Santos ahhahahahahah
OK i like the Iphone X for my channel now, how can i get one ?
GH5 is way better mate.. you are just over excited with your new iPhone.. calm down bro..
Kevin Alex Mass jajajaja
No way the iPhone X looks way better
😹😹😹
Apple Tech tru tho. Only in low light situations does Apple Cameras struggle
Yes it is a professional camera it does not do any post processing that's why its images look washed-out
thank you this video gave me the confidence to just start shooting with my iPhone X for my new youtube channel
thank you
What happens when you want to change lenses?
Brian King olloclip or Moment
That doggo at the end was just having all kinds of trouble lol
iPhone X Camera is amazing!
WOW, this GH5 have a crazy color capture. Everything looks colorfull.
4:40 The sony x3000 maybe 😏
Great job !
Thank you so much for making this video! It helps us a lot :)
great video! i shoot all my videos with the iphone 7 and i love it. can’t wait to get the iphone x
The iphone x is so good, at 1:25 the GH5 is over blown
I use my iPhone 8 Plus on my travel videos and I’m very impressed with the quality so far! Good video!
guys the LG V30 has flat profile and audio meter...just saying
Why when an iPhone win people like you jump to the comments and stard saying: This is better, this is better :v
Clorox Bleach because since this was a video centric smartphone video I guessed I could suggest a smartphone better suited for video and that costs less...you tell me
BTICronox look at the 7plus vs red comparison.
Vittorio Sergi Filmic Pro
The LG V30 shoots amazing video with its LOG and manual mode but as a general photo camera its very much lacking vs the others.
The hell? The GH5 is wayy more vibrant
Best ending ever.
I thought the GH5 was better all the way through, and I like its colors better too, but that's my personal taste. The iPhone X camera does indeed look impressive, specially for a cell phone camera and I am truly blown away.
Great video!
The LG V30 has a lot of camera settings and stuff, you should check it out...
(You've probably done it a long time ago😂)
Depth of Field anyone?
Thank you. Just one thing: when doing lots of dynamic videos do you typically film vertical or horizontal...I just have the feeling that the horizontal filming looks really so limited but maybe it is my settings. What do you think please?👍🏻
I recognize the location. I live in James Island. 😎
Yep, just over the connector looking back at downtown :)
I immediately noticed that the GH5 is sharper. This is also considering we're watching on RUclips which probably compresses the footage.
Who else is still checking IPhone X
Good stuff! I’m 24 hours into iPhone X ownership and think its excellent!
apple is paying big money to alot of people but nice phone though , still would not use it for professional work ... just personal stuff like...
stanglova86 true! try showing up to a client with an iPhone. You will get slapped
This will just eventually be used with a gimbal in a lot of situations.
iPhone x for the win
I think the big diference between a cellphone and a camera is the bokeh effect and blur effect in the background using specific lenses...for me is a big win for a camera...but, if someday we can have the same effect, game over for the "pro" cameras.
Try Pixel 2 XL.
Harpreet singh Would basically have the same results but it cannot zoom very far without losing quality which the iPhone can...
The iPhone just looks flat
I love adding videos to my watch later list but then watching them
Please don't do that outro ever again..
Tom Brady?!
Great video! I just shot a GH5 for the first time and I loved it. Especially with our glass. But I also just got the iPhone X. Can’t wait to compare. Since I still am asked to mainly deliver in 720/1080p, I really could use either!
LUMIX is professional ?
BestMasterpiece yeah man.
LUMiX it's still camera with video mode. Pro? Sorry. It's not.
Exactly, LUMIX is amateur hour. You want “professional”, you’re looking at Arri Alexa, Amira, RED cameras etc!
Watching this on my iPhone X feelin good man 🤩😎
Thing is, I’ll never use a phone camera if I have a choice for one simple reason: control.
Manually controlling the focus, shutter speed and iso is a must have.
LOL professional camera video
Pawel Chyrowski jajajjaja i know! That was hilarious
I'm working on a 100+ million dollar movie right now and we are using GH5's. They are 100% a professional camera. Granted we use them like you would a go pro but still...
Pawel Chyrowski huh
Hahaha.. "professional"
This guy never heard of LG V30, log, 10bit HDR, and Quad Dac
This is actually an Apple add
The pixel is rated number one on phone camera, then it’s the iPhone X
Kevin Gutierrez those who are professional know the the goodness of 10 bit hdr on a phone with a stereo mic while having a quad dac.
Idk where you’re from but this video was filmed in the U.S. and we unfortunately don’t have the quad dac in our V30. Instead LG gave us wireless charging... lmao
Nor Azam The quad dac has nothing to do with the video capabilities of the phone.
The knock out criteria why I would NOT use the iPhone x for professional videos is:
- No RAW videos makes post editing a pain
- Does not film with 3 subpixels, again crappy editing capabilities
- Lower megapixel count does not promote cropping
- No interchangeable lenses (no good zoom) or memory card, batteries, microphones etc.
- Working in field with the customer does not leave a good impression
Just imagine getting a contract and your videographer appears with an iPhone on a gimbal.
Just make a more researched comparison and check out www.versus.com I’m not getting any affiliate earnings from this link unlike you ;)
Now, I'll never buy an Iphone. Thanks bro
Thank you so much for commenting this. Not only is the Gh5 a prosumer camera, but I could do 100 times better with it than this dumbass.
Not to mention the running scene, where he didn't see a difference, but the iPhone's footage was clearly suttering.
When you did the gimbal test, I was going to say that since the iPhone has optical image stabilization (idk if the GH5 does) it would balance out even the gimbal, so you get even more stabilized video.
Apple is Apple =)
I always preferred the footage of the GH5 in this comparison but it was close sometimes and it is amazing what a high-end phone can do these days given the right conditions.
Is. funny to see pro camera falling down in boats pics/ video... the hdr is way better in this example with the iPhone
Yup, the iPhone had better dynamic range. Pretty great.
Nope, pro cameras invest much less in auto mode or jpeg engine. That's all. Take both to Lightroom or display on 4k TV and you'll see huge difference. If you consuming all your content on the phone, than yes, no need for pro camera.
He is using a rig to hold both cameras. That's not a secret.
You wrong and have eyes problem. I love iPhone but this GH5 camera like others pro cameras and even pro-sumer camera have a better contrast, deeper colors, smoother images and the main, works with low light and better adjust. An bigger sensor is better than the smaller sensors in smartphones but I can deny the video and pic quality in high end smartphones is great.
dont forget youtube footage and bitrate sucks.the reviewer should provide an external link to make the major comparison
I was so happy when he caught the ball. Good doggo.
Why even the comparison? Coz iphone wants to make a buzz? This is just BS. unsubscribed.
Can't wait to run our own test, we just got an iPhone X and are working on some footage! Thanks for the tips!
Laurent Weber I’m scared
Brian Alves no
Are you joking? Lots of content creators don't have the time or desire to spend hours sifting through comments, especially when they likely receive hundreds of them a day.
Well. If get a song on RUclips. I simply raise my iPhone and say “hey siri identity the song”. And most of the time it does
Fine Wine Daily Ehh. Show some respect to the people who make your channel what it is today. I don’t agree with what you’re saying.
I am learning how to use a iPhone for video, thanks for sharing your idea.
Are you kidding me? Jello-fake strange effect is awfull when camera is moving and pixel blocking(few pixels making blocks for compression) is horrible on iPhone. Still not a real camera. Don't be riddicilous.
If you were to use Filmic pro 100mb/s in 4K, you wouldn't get that
You can get rid of jello-shaky image with Filmic pro? Doooon't think so. When camera is moving image is just usefull.
TRIGGERED!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope you realise that RUclips compressed their RUclips videos a lot
Was referring to the compression artefacts, although most of that is due to RUclips. As for rolling shutter, both the GH5 and the iPhone X has it.
The a6500 is a top performer on a gimbal as well for smooth shots.
GH5 is also NOT a professional camera, it's prosumer at best.
IPhone X is over saturated.
and-overpriced
😂
Since the iPhone has less saturation than the GH5 in this test, what do you mean? So you think the GH5 is over over saturated?
It’s saturated and yet correct to natural tone than those in android. And no its not over saturated. Do you even know what that means??
diskgrinder bloxander to everythings!!
Being that the note is lackin 4k 24p and 4k60p.
blablabla iPhone 8 same sensore, less price!
eMDe same sensor but better lens glass and aperture. Also ois on both senaor.
The running video wouldn’t have looked as smooth on the 8 as on the X most likely. But besides that, you’re right. It’s exactly the same
hahaha stupid guy
different sensor, aperture, stabilisation. so ... not true,
Lol the amount of ignorance is mind blowing. Nevertheless it doesn’t matter to you coz you would never own an iphone X anyway.
