••• SAFETY INFO •••
Remember to always wear safety glasses and gloves when making soap. Lye and raw soap can severely damage your eyes and burn your skin, so be sure to practice safe handling procedures during the entire soapmaking process, even during cleanup.
This is an advanced technique dealing with different lye concentrations. If you’re a beginner and would like more information on lye safety or basic soapmaking, check out these links:

DISCLAIMER: I make these videos to share my own personal methods and techniques for how I make cold process soap. These videos are not intended as tutorials for beginners. These videos are intended for those who already have an understanding of cold process soap making. Cold process soapmaking has many variables and involves working with sodium hydroxide (NaOH, also referred to as lye). Lye and raw soap can damage your eyes and burn your skin. When making soap, you should already know and practice lye safe handling procedures and always wear safety gear. While I hope you find watching my videos helpful or entertaining, so many variables go into making soap and even the smallest change can greatly affect the results; therefore, I am not liable or responsible for your results if you try any of the methods or techniques that I use in my videos. Hi everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. 💕I forgot to mention in the video that this is an unscented soap. You could definitely add fragrance if you want, I just chose to leave it out for this technique. Thank you so much for watching! -- Holly 😊
That is so nice..... Grazie cara ❤️
Hi Holly, I know this design is a ghost swirl but is there another name for the actual pour, I.E. the center pour being different than the two sides. If that makes sense. Thank you.
@@soapsforlove4168 Hi Renee! I believe the actual swirl technique is called a feather swirl. Even though it's still a hanger swirl, the soap is poured in single lines above each other (middle or sides or even diagonal). That's how I've referred to it in the past, even though I'm not really creating a wispy feather design. I used the same technique in the Wonderland Christmas collab where I created the tree branches. Other than feather swirl, I've never heard any specific name for the way the soap is poured, though. 😊Hope this helps!
@@hollysoapmaking You are amazing Holly, thank you so much. It helps A LOT!! I hope you have a blessed evening.
@@soapsforlove4168 💕Oh I'm so glad! You're very welcome!
Beautiful soap! Thank you for sharing all your tips and techniques. I love how you explain EVERYTHING so completely. I have learned so much from you. Your voice is so soothing. Would you consider doing a video on how you line your wooden molds? It always looks so neat, straight and tidy.
I find your videos well done and informative. I am new to soap making and have been mostly focused on goat milk soaps, but your ideas and techniques are very inspirational. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience.
Very elegant soap, thank you.

Hi Holly, let me start by saying I love your videos! Being new to soapmaking I find them extremely helpful. I know this one is now a couple years old but I'm wondering if you used any fragrance oil in these. I didn't see that you added any and was curious how that might effect the final design
Magnifique 😉
Thank you!
Beautiful 🌹
Thank you! 😊
I just love your voice and accent 😁
Thank you! 😊
Hello I love watching your videos.
Do you think I can try this method with goat milk?
Gorgeous! How long do you cure this soap, so you get a perfectly hard bar iN The WAter?.....(by the sink i mean, in contact with water?)..thanks..
Sorry for late comments. I'm revisiting your technique. I feel brave enough to try it now. Would you share your soap recipe?
Hola x favor si pudiera traducir sys videos al edpañol seria excelente. Graciaaas
Belliiisimo.
❤️💕💖💞💞💗🙏🏿
Well, I know what my next soap is gonna be.
This is beautiful, quick question was there any TD added or was the color difference due to the water amount difference.TIA
If you look at the recipe she showed on soap Calc, that would be a very white soap. It has a high percentage of coconut oil. And when you compare the soap that gelled versus the soap that didn’t gel, I would assume that she used only the soap. No colorants. Pretty sure that was the terms of the soap challenge.
There is no TD added
Thank you! No TD, colorants, or any additives were used other than the oils and lye. The contrast is strictly due to the different water contents - gel vs non-gel soap. 😊
Holly - Kapia Mera Soap Thank you., this was beautiful I’ll be trying this soon. I enjoy your videos as your voice is soo soothing and your explanations are wonderful.
Woow woow 😍💋 💝💖❤️
