2024 GVH Horse Trials - Starter Dressage with Smirk

Smirk is a 2020 16.1 hh thoroughbred mare. I purchased Smirk off the track as a 2 yr old in September of 2022. We have competed in some lower-level recognized eventing, done some minimal foxhunting with GVH and lots of trail riding.
The 2024 GVH Horse Trial was Smirk's 2nd recognized event. She had a decent dressage test, with a solid score. She is still building confidence over fences, so we had a very careful show jumping round with a few time faults and wrapped up with a clear cross country run. She ended up winning her division and receiving the high score TIP award at the Starter level.
