Where I live I look across a valley at the Black Mountains (on the Hereford/Powys border), some mornings I can't see the valley due to morning mists that fill it entirely but as the sun rises and warms the mist gradually disappears. In the same way your sermon has shed light and given a completely different perspective on the valley experience in our walk of faith and cleared a mist of uncertainty. Such a confirming word. I was contemplating the nature of suffering yesterday. One of the things that was revealed to me was that some gifts can only be given through suffering. Today you confirmed that. It is in the valley in the valley that you can find the stones to end Goliath
An historian told me many yrs ago, 2 reasons(among many others I’m sure) the Roman army was so successful were 1) They knew their enemies as well as they knew themselves & 2) They slept in their armor.

Just now watching you full-stop speaking, breath hesitant, and swallowing harder, was actually frightening. Then you smiled apologetically "it's my eyes" Dear brother, I am praying for the healing and support you seek. (If the forward "perspective" you need to keep walking through these valley months is unclear, trust "the Character of God expands to my understanding in this valley I walk through. ") Embracing the "whole" valley is not reasonable without a Higher point of view; but embracing the nearest person, circumstance, with. The joy of the Lord is the next thing to do. I am walking in the valleys of my adult children.how starkly old enemies loom from the shadows, another layer of grace settles my fears, allows for deeper repentance, transparent conversations with my daughters in the humility of "been here" and the exalting of Christ Jesus as "also been here" To testify to Presence, Power and Promise as glorious aspects of God worthy of praise.

Hello Pastor Keith. Very good sermon. I watched it twice yesterday and learned something different each time...I still felt like I needed to watch it again today. Imagine my shock to find it butchered by at least 15 commercials interrupting the whole thing when yesterday there was not one. Odd cause i do the majority of my watching not signed in. I also noted yesterday you misspoke calling David Joseph once when talking of his brothers. But today i noticed in describing the height of Goliath you equated it to 5 1/2 feet tall. So i was hoping this was misspoke too- I am 5'3 and I am short. I have been told in most teachings he was 9 1/2 feet tall. Lastly while i understand that being saved we have the breastplate of righteousness-Paul does say ''put on'' and so did A. W. Pink teach this understanding, so did J. Vernon Mcgee & so did Adrian Rogers teach this understanding. And for my own personal experience---I deal with attack on frequent-not all time-but frequent basis and if I have dared to be sharing God's word on my online sight where I do that(im not a preacher- i share verses, videos like yours etc)& have not put purposeful attention to dress i n this armor -I will be attacked and feel the effects of it & sometimes see it in my home. So for the first time I do disagree on this with you. In fact in the past 2 yrs much has ramped up that i have been led to ''morning and night' as you kept repeating...as in re dress, re pray on this armor---I have seen it be effective for me. I do not think it wise to discount it. Least of all for no other reason than it makes people purposefully consider and focus on those aspects of God as their help in this world. I read this chapter yesterday with whole new eyes and thank you for this teaching. God bless
Yes that was a mistake about Joseph and Goliath. In the previous valley sermon I did state Goliath was 9 1/2 feet. Dont know how it came out as 5! Afraid I was sick in bed for a week before this so it was touch and go making it to church and then preaching. These slips are sadlly easy to make. Reference armour I am certainly not discounting what you mention or obeying scripture in putting on Christ or the armour, but rather dealing with the practise I have watched all my life of putting it on in a prayer but living a lose life or not controlling your tongue etc. I can give numerous examples. In the churches I have watched at close quarter for forty years this was standard practise but almost no understanding of the daily battle of the Christian. I am certainly not knocking the sincere prayers or stand of zealous believers. God bless you brother
