For a recolor of an existing model kit it really doesn't look all that bad. The dark colors compliment the Gray and the yellow pretty well and the extra gun you can't say no with an extra gun. But it definitely screams a model kit that you would only get if you never bought the original but it's still just as solid as the original and if nothing else it's good for comparison pieces and maybe a what if battle between the amazing red Warrior and this. Another soild short review!
Black and gold always works together IMO. Though like you said, it's a kit that only appeals to people who've missed out on it at first. Still, at least this one has a unique gimmick unlike other recolors to come out recently. Glad you liked the review though
Honestly. My favorite Build kits are the ones that feel like they can just seemingly fit in their respective timelines. For example. I could totally see something like the Perfect Strike Freedom existing in CE. I get the same vibe with the Amazing and Lighting Warriors. They could definitely fit in UC and not look totally out of place. With their hypothetical lore being that after the One Year War, both EFF engineers and Zeonic engineers buddied up to make this hypothetical creation as a sign of respect for both sides of the engineering fronts. A sorta. "Hey. We ain't killing each other, so let's get some drinks and work on something fun for ourselves." Lol.
That's why I kinda prefer the HG Amazing Warrior over this. While both are awesome, the Lightning Black Warrior's black coloration means stress marks are more likely. Like mine. I had difficulty dealing with those stress marks.
Ooh ok I’m going to get the original color of this kit and kit bash it the revive RX-78 to make a 3.0 gundam because my 2.0 version of the RX-78 is currently striker pack compatible with the full glansa armor so the amazing red warrior would be a great 3.0 upgrade
Awesome review, this kit and the Red Warrior were always ones I had my eye on. You mentioned a while back about reviewing the Hobby Hizack AOZ, is that review still on the horizon?
Yes, the Hizack review is still on the horizon. The package just needs to clear customs as of this comment. There's that, and also coursework on my end, so that takes precedent before any more YT stuff. It will be coming, so will the others and the Best of 2023 list, but there's a lot going on with the package and in my life that's holding me back
Hey I'm here before their are comments for once. I'm finally early to a video, more or less =D I really like the amazing red warrior mold, I need to get one eventually it looks nice plus having a different looking Rx-78 Esque machine is cool. I love the black color here too.
has this one been reissued recently? I'd like to have this one in case I get the amazing red warrior mg so I have two different colors of the same ms. would've been nice to have a little more gold in there with the black, but considering the type of plastic they used for the gold it's probably for the best lol great review as always
It hasn't been reissued, but according to harmonizers-jp, the LBW and all GBF:Battlogue kits among many others will be reissued in August 2024. Only time will tell if their intel is true. Glad you liked the video BTW, cheers.
Really don’t why Bandai don’t give open palm hand in HGBF Amazing Red Warrior ? Because in film first debut Amazing Red Warrior pose iconic pose hand is open palm.
unironically I like this better than the Meijin's take, especially with his Kampfer Amazing having more interesting use of the modular weapon system. If I find it, I'll cop one out. However...I wonder if the Back Weapon System (regular or Mk. II) are compatible with this to give Yuma a rep on the Build side of my shelf Edit: I ended up getting the Amazing Red Warrior due to the Lightning Black not having had a restock in ages. I'll have to give it the veredict there.
It uses the universal double-peg standard, so you can't dock the BWS packs without an adapter. I like this on equal part to the Amazing Red Warrior because of the new gun though, so they stand side by side in terms of my thoughts
The BWS 1 has an adaptor piece so that you can equip it with gunplas which have the two-peg holes in the back. The BWS mk.II, however, doesn't, so you have to have the BWS 1 for that, or use the adaptors from the Galaxy Booster, Build Strike Galaxy Cosmos, or Star Burning Gundam.
I mean, I had to give it a spray of water after the build just to clean it up further from sanding the nubs. Just goes to show how painful cleaning the nubs for it was
The gates were certainly too much for my beginner-self to handle, and the issues I brought up in the video, but it's still a decent and fun kit in the end
@@mj2005gundam Yeah, mixing these two would be really rad to do, but Amazing Red Warrior is already pretty hard to get, and this Lighting Black Warrior is even worse 😂🤣
I really appreciate how you show gunpla as-built throughout most of the review before ending with your painted touch up version
I'm glad you appreciate the effort

@@mj2005gundam Oh believe me I agree with you black and gold are definitely cool colors that work really well together.
I own the Amazing Red Warrior MG. It's a fantastic kit, and didn't know the HG had a repaint.
This one kinda slipped under the radar since the Reversible released a month after this one
Damn i thought this was a Hobby Clubhouse review from the white thumbnail hahaha great review as always though
I swap between the backgrounds depending on the kit's color. Glad you liked the video
Oh nice I have been looking for a good review for this
Glad I could help, though TypeV3's review is probably much better than what I've done

It's certainly part of the fun to have such head canons when it comes to model kits
That's why I kinda prefer the HG Amazing Warrior over this.

Like mine. I had difficulty dealing with those stress marks.
To be fair, the red isn't much better because of how rich it is. Bandai was just not being very bright at the time
I love the colors of this way more the amazing red warrior. I hope they release the EG rx782 in this color scheme someday
There surely has to be a black and gold granddaddy Gundam out there somewhere. If not, it's an easy-enough paint job
Ooh ok I’m going to get the original color of this kit and kit bash it the revive RX-78 to make a 3.0 gundam because my 2.0 version of the RX-78 is currently striker pack compatible with the full glansa armor so the amazing red warrior would be a great 3.0 upgrade
The Warriors will definitely serve as a good basis for a custom Granddaddy. Hope you have fun with that concept

"Respect models" are a largely controversial topic, but I'm glad you like both of the kits. Congrats on making it early :D
Long Mega Launcher in this kit very look like Hyper Impusle Sniper Rilfe for Buster Gundam
I mean, they're both long-range, high-firepower units
I thought I picked up all the battlogue kits. I'm not aware of this one. was it not released in the US wave?
I think you might be muddling all Battlogue titles into one. This is from Build Fighters Battlogue, while the US wave kits are from Breaker Battlogue.
I don't think I could use the panel lining markers for like, anywhere on the body, except for the backpack, and the chest vents.
Like I said, it mostly nullifies the need to panel line the kit
@@mj2005gundam I understand that, still looks cool though.

Because in film first debut Amazing Red Warrior pose iconic pose hand is open palm.
Because 2010's Bandai don't even know what extra hand covers are, let alone hands
I think a gloss or semi gloss would look good on this kit
A semi-gloss might look good. Gloss just sounds a bit too much for it. Worth experimenting though
The name sounds like a Daban kit lol
Their new Mg's and Hg's are getting good too
You're kinda restricting yourself with names if you're doing a respect build of another builder's kit
I didn't know that's a black version and got the red one. The weapons are too easy to lose imo, but it's nice to have so many weapons included.
Easy solution, ziplock bag. I regretted not employing that method in my early days
You should definitely review the high grade Jesta and Jesta cannon
I'm honestly surprised they haven't made a Build version of a Jesta yet. If I have the time, I'll check it out
Looks amazing
Wrong kit for the pun, but I'm glad you like the design of it
closest thing we got to Perfect Gundam Mk-III kit + an extra gun, pretty nice
Isn't the amazing red warrior closer?
@@kaasvreter6813 well yeah. This one is that exact kit + a gun
This one is the Amazing Red Warrior plus more gun after all
unironically I like this better than the Meijin's take, especially with his Kampfer Amazing having more interesting use of the modular weapon system. If I find it, I'll cop one out. Cutting and seam lines removal will be difficult for this kit.
I mean, I had to give it a spray of water after the build just to clean it up further from sanding the nubs. Just goes to show how painful cleaning the nubs for it was
So a spray of water can help it out?
@@rolandcabral5295 For cleaning up the dust that results from sanding the nubs, yes. Not necessarily for actually sealing the seam lines though.
if its use yellow runner instead of gold, ill take it, painting a good yellow always such a pain for me
I mean.. Just prime it and spray it with a flat yellow
A lazy rehash to be honest, with only new weapon expansion. However the og Amazing warrior is such a pleasant built experience.
The gates were certainly too much for my beginner-self to handle, and the issues I brought up in the video, but it's still a decent and fun kit in the end
Would've been much more amazing if this kit had better color palette or different surface texture 🤔
Sounds like the Amazing Red Warrior might be what you prefer
@@mj2005gundam Yeah, mixing these two would be really rad to do, but Amazing Red Warrior is already pretty hard to get, and this Lighting Black Warrior is even worse 😂🤣
噴黑配金應該很屌,就是盾牌小了點😄
Meijin designed the shield to be small because he is that confident with his piloting skills. Yuuma simply copied that element over
thanks for the info😄
More dakka is more good!
I'm a sucker for folding weapons as well, which is why I like weapons like the GN Sword that much
This gundam just asks to have its hands replaced with the option set hands.
The long gun definitely warrants it
I still prefer the Amazing Red Warrior compared to this
Which is fair enough, you're not missing out on much if you don't care about the gun
