    Mo Bamba is a super smart kid and has great physical tools. That being said he has no desire to physically work hard. Sometimes sports are not for everybody.

    Bamba simply lacks motor and work ethic. Looks like he barely put in work in the weight room since getting drafted and not motivated to be a good NBA player. It's all on him

    I remember right around the draft watching a video where JJJ and Bamba worked out with KG and JJJ impressed the hell out of KG and you could see he was locked in and motivated and Bamba had more attitude and didn't seem to have that same fire. Here we are 6 seasons later and that initial impression looks very valid. Grizzlies got the right guy.

    Every year since his rookie year I wanted the Rockets to trade for him. I just figured Orlando didn''t know what they were doing with him. This video really broke down that Mo is indeed his own worst enemy. Excellent video. I learned something.

Plus, Westtown (the School Bamba went to) is now a bball factory and powerhouse, and his team had Cameron Reddish (NBA Lottery pick) as well as two other high D1 players on it, so he wasn't gonna have crazy numbers. But you could see the talent was there. He definitely deserved to be a Hamburger guy

      @@Turk_2023 dragan was a bottom 5 NBA player for almost every year he was in the NBA, and was bottom 10 when he wasn't. Alex Len still has NBA contracts because he's a good backup big and Josh Jackson is inefficient

    Some guys just don't like basketball, even though they are built for it. It's easy to say he should just retire and do something else, but most of us not turning down a paycheck like that until we don't have a choice but to. I can't knock him for that.

    I play ball 2-3 times a week and see noticeable improvement monthly. I’m 5’8 and not athletic. Crazy to me that guys with elite physical tools can come into the league, practice every day for years with top level coaching and barely improve. I think it really comes down to someone’s desire & drive to improve.

      Those my friend are novice gains. A complete newbie going to the gym would probably lose more pounds in their first 3 to 5 months until they hit their plateau compared to a professional bodybuilder. Elite of the elite basketball players (ie the NBA) only see minute incremental changes because they are way way beyond normal people who plays basketball in their free time.

    Feel sorry for Mo in a way. He did it to himself, but he could’ve been Wemby before Wemby got here. Wemby is a beast because he’s humble, but most importantly, works his ass off. Mo approached being a unicorn all wrong and just didn’t try because he figured the specs would make up for it.

    When I saw Bamba get drafted by Orlando, I immediately knew that was going to be a problem for his development.

      The Magic are great with centers. Just look at how Shaq and Dwight turned out. Even Darko Milicic improved a bit during his stint with the Magic. Vooch was great during his time in Orlando. The organization wasn't the reason for Mo's stunted growth.

    Im sorry, but going to Memphis vs Orlando isnt a make or break for your career. Bamba just wasnt motivated. As soon as he left Orlando, Orlando got better. He wouldnt have gotten buried on the bench on Memphis.

    Mo is simply not a nba level big man! He never dominated in the year he played in college and was drafted on potential alone that has clearly never materialized as he is already 25 years old!
    Unfortunately for Mo this will be his last year in the nba! He may be able to play in euro league but he'll probably struggle there also as he's simply not that talented!

    Wow. Managed to illustrate Mo Bamba as a bust at the same time managed to illustrate the self-destruction of the team (Memphis Grizzlies) Mo Bamba told not to draft him. Lol.
    Pretty much Mo Bamba being a bust and the Memphis Grizzlies as a team repeatedly not living up to the teams potential.
    Looks like with Grizzlies Center Steven Adams out due to injury, Mo Bamba and the Memphis Grizzlies are destined to finally be together.
