I enjoy this series but you are very generous with labeling rappers or their work the "greatest" or "top 3" or classic. I know some people who went into Albums/records/rappers with high expectations off your videos and were completely turned off hiphop, cause they felt "if this is the best hiphop has to offer, why bother"? You might not realise it yet but you now have a voice in hiphop and you actually influence people's decisions regarding the genre so you've got to let them know it's in your opinion when proclaiming something great, because people who don't know better would think its a concensus in hiphop.
When Pusha T Hit Drake hard on Story of Adidon, Meek Millz was exposed because he was a battle rapper and supposedly but his response was " I get money, Im really from the streets so I don't bother with corny rap dudes like Drake bcuz I got real killaz with me and I know where this can go". B.S. Im from Phiily and It hurt my soul to witness, then the $20 given to 8 kids on video was the last straw. Dont EVER forget ya ribs were touchin with dirty braids just like those kids. 💯
Meek is definitely one of the best ever and top 5 from Philly
Meek told one kid " Get ya khands off my truck" and the kid looked petrified smh I WAS ASHAMED for black men everywhere at that moment.
2010 ain’t no damn golden era of hip hop
I’m not saying his growth wasn’t stunted, I just don’t think it was stunted enough to be on this channel.
Expensive Pain is a great album, y’all should go listen if you haven’t already.
I like Meek my only problem with him is that he's very emotional.
The troubling thing about his post about not getting paid from his record company is the fact he said he needs lawyers!🤯🤔🤦🏿♂️ Bro u don't got your affairs in order!?
Do one on Asher Paul Roth please cause this kind of a reach tbh
"Must see TV, but you can't win with him...salute to Meek" Bruuhhh
You tripping on this one ……
You got to famous dex. He may have not been the best but it would be good to see a stunted growth video on him
Can you do cyhi the prynce?
Damn, this episode on Meek is a sneakily interesting choice
Yeah meek is definitely one of the hardest out right now and definitely has had a great career but anything that was a growth stunt was the fact that he went to jail and his damn judge kept putting him in jail for no reason so I don't understand why you didn't mention him going to jail now at least one time or make it as if it was a stunning or growth stunt
Meek was really subpar compared to the other Philly rappers when he was coming up. I'm from the Philly area. Joey Jihad, Chic Raw, NH, Reed Dollaz, Vodka, Kre Forch, Slaughter Rico, Scrap Metal, the whole Takedown records, were all bigger than Meek coming up. Meek just aligned himself better than they did
His Social Media Persona Contributed Largely To This , I Won’t Lie .
Naw bro. Meek took a major L from Drake and bounced back.
Fuck all that!! Meek a legend where I'm from. From Berks Street to a $1,000,000 #Pennsylvania
Meek def got a big head from his early success…
You definitely bugging TF out. Meek was never seen as a great lyricist - never. His energy is what got him popping. Nothing about him makes me feel like he's really a star and he never comes across like he has the ability to think deep enough to rise above the average street dude. He always got alot of support in the industry and that seems like the only real reason that he's successful
@Str8 Fwd he definitely gotta nice pen, I think him being able to flow on any beat gave him lead way also
@@therlbred850 His pen always been lukewarm and he keeps the same screaming flow on every song. He was never good enough to even hang with the second tier lyricists of his time in the past or even right now. He don't have clever flows with complex rhyme schemes, he don't got good metaphors or similes (if he has any), he's not good at telling stories. Nobody really puts him on features because why would they? Nobody says "Meek Killed that verse" never.
Rass Kass, Gillie the Kid, Juelz Santana, Rah Digga, Eness, Lupe Fiasco, Cyhi The Prince, Drag On, Souls of Mischief, Monies Love, Kurupt, Shyhiem, Helter Skelter, Beanie Sigel, Joe Budden, Maino... Do some of them.
He already did one on Gillie, Juelz, Lupe, Beanie Sigel and Joe Budden.
He survived... Drake: back to back..
And The Game: pest control..
BOTH monster diss tracks!!!!
Meek still got the streets fucked up he’s the leader, He is the streets Hov the streets diddy
Come on now...... Meek as a GOAT? At best he had best of year credits to aim for. Back to back didn't kill him. Drake got slaughtered by a real MC. Meek got blinded by the lights. Nikki didn't lose focus, Meek did.
Hmmm, he’s the coldest Young OG in the game now!! What’s crazy is that Meek and Travis were signed to Grand Hustle!!
I don’t think his growth was stunted, yes he could’ve been bigger but he did pretty well for himself.
Meek the best. Waddup milly
Can you do Bravehearts
Committing sins in Cincinnati, lil drive by ina all black caddyyy , a 21 gun salute! Ya last words be pls Joe don't shoot.. Braveheart man💪🏾
Yeah he was the last real street rap artist, then came "We Pick You" and "Place You"
Next ones, Tung Twista aka Twista, Redman, Method Man, Erick Sermon, Def Squad, Common Sense aka Common, Mobb Deep, Prodigy, Bone Enterpri$e aka Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Fat Joe Da Gangsta aka Fat Joe, Fugees, Pras, Da Brat, Juvenile, Mystikal, Westside Connection, Mack 10, WC, Tha Dogg Pound, Kurupt, Tha Eastsidaz, Doggys Angels, 213, Outlawz Immortalz, Xzibit, Trick Daddy Dollars aka Trick Daddy, N.O.R.E. aka Noreaga, Cam'ron, Lil' Cease, Eve, Black Rob, Trina, Rah Digga, Ying Yang Twins, Onyx, Sticky Fingaz, Tah Murdah aka Caddillac Tah, D12, Petey Pablo, Omarion, Styles P, Murphy Lee, Bravehearts, Crooked I, J-Kwon, Tony Yayo & Chamillionaire
This how u know that hating on Meek mill is a trend 🤷🏿♂️
Its hard to evolve when you're facing years in prison for stuntin' on your bike, IJS!!!
Damn u wrote meek off early but I get it tho he want go down as that “2pac back” nga…GT COVER MY GUY 🗣💎
If Meek Mill has a Stunted Growth, then please let’s talk about FRENCH MONTANA‼️
That would be a dope episode...
Honestly meek got too cought up in trying to be the "hottest in the streets". For a dude like future, that's his lane. Meek was suppose to carry and present himself as a MC.
