It wasn't just in your head, larger tips create objectively deeper tones. Similar to why a tuba is deeper than a trombone.
Thats why I opted for the twin 3.5" split tip for my 2.5" side exit. There's a point where too big defeats the purpose. No reason to run those 8" tips on the diesel trucks lol
@@NXT_LVL I wouldn't know, i've never owned a diesel or seen a good comparison's but I know for a fact 4.5"-6" sounds amazing on manual trans 4 cylinders. That's what we ran in the street racing scene back in the day and cars these days will never compare cause dudes don't know this anymore I guess. All the popular and deepest exhausts back then like the blitz nur spec, apexi n1, air mass thundermuff, greddy sp etc all had these big tips & came with proper resonators. The best souding were the thundermuffs & n1's tho. Iykyk 🔥
Nothing like a bro lusting for a big tip
@@Dukers2300 If you think 6" is big, you ain't seen nothin yet

In order of awesomeness...
1) White Hellcat
2) Grey Hellcat
3) Green Hellcat
IMO the white one sounds the best. Gotta' have a muffler. The green one looks the best. Those tips are absolutely perfect.
That white one sounds deeper 🔥🔥
Usually they aren’t though, same for girth
All 3 of them sounded amazing, but the white Hellcat sounded the best, though. 😅😁
Love when you isolate one choice like this! Keep 'em coming :D
Damn that green with gold wheels is so sexy...the first one sounded best but the green one idle was the best
Nice work! 😎🤘🏻🔨 They all sound pretty good.
It actually does change the sound. I had a 4 inch exhaust tip on my mustang gt, I wanted to change it because it just looked old and discolored. Before I replaced it with a 5 inch tip, it had all types of crackles and pops. Now I put the chrome 5 inch tips on it...not so much. But I do like the look.
White, green, grey. Definitely sounds better with the rear delete
gotta bring my hemi jeep to yall to get it done I want a h pipe with the 5×18 tips haven't seen that set up for jeep grand cherokees u think it would sound deep calling them tomorrow
The green hellcat reminds me of the squads where I used to live! Put blue lights on the deck and dash, and it's time to patrol.🙂
White one is defentily one of the deepest in this video 💪
IMO....
Slim Body Chargers > Wide Body Chargers
Wide Body Challengers > Slim Body Challengers
Regarding the sound of these awesome machines....the White Cat took the crown here.
Yeah but do you want 245 (9") maybe 275 (~11") width tires with say a Scat packs 485hp, or even the Cats 707hp or 305 square (12") Because the Vipers smoked out the 345s (13"+) with 600hp on tap.
@@NXT_LVL A great set of sticky 275's will hook well all day long over those stock all season 305 P Zeros. And, you can mount 305's in the rear perfectly fine on slim body Chargers and Challengers. There are even people running 315's on aftermarket wheels with no rubbing on these cars.
I agree the stock tips fit better than the 5 inch tips did but it sounded really mean !!
sooooo good.
They all sound good; couldn't pick up a difference between them
dayum all around
Are mufflers and resonators the same thing i have a chrysler 300c 5.7 hemi 2014 with mid delete and rear delete does this mean its straight pipe also can i put mini race bullets mufflers on the rear where the resonator location. Any help is appreciated i just want it to sound deep and loud tone i also want to install 5in tips to see if it changes the sound.
They are not the same. Mufflers give an exhaust a certain sound/ tone. A resonator keeps an exhaust from having drone and too much sound inside the vehicle, but they also change the sound some. Removing the muffler and resonator is called straight pipe. TECHNICALLY, removing the catalytic converters, mufflers, and resonators, is a real/ true straight pipe, because nothing is there. Also Technically you can remove your mufflers and resonators, and put an aftermarket muffler where the resonators were, it'll just have a dietetic sound, but will probably still sound good. And on dodge and chrysler, the mufflers are in the middle, the rears are the actual resonators.
@yatubekid thanks man I just want to put some mini race bullets on the rear where the resonators are located to see if it will sound good because on my other car I have a 95 chevy caprice and I have them in the middle where the mufflers belong and it sounds really good it has a Chop like if it's cam but I wanted to try something different installing them in the back of my chrysler to see the difference
Look for the Exhaust Addicts video on the blue scat pack with Flowmaster Outlaw 16in version,if you want to be loud keep the straight pipe but if you want a good sound that’s not gonna be annoying try out the Flowmaster.
@blxnkspace2821 thanks ima check it out
@@blxnkspace2821 im liking the blue one 2020 challenger rt shaker with the dynomax race bullets on exhaust addicts
Green sound the best
Changes Tone not sound but 5in is the best for V8s
Tone is sound. The same way that I sound like a man when I speak & you sound like a girl.
Stock
Beef
Now that they have the widebody the slimbody doesn't look as good
Stock tips fit better.
V8 engines sound so much better with less miles on them. The more miles they have on them, the more the sound of the exhaust deteriorates. This is due to the exhaust valves opening and closing trillions of times. Some of them start to get worn out valve seals after so long. This test wouldn’t hold the same water on a near 200,000 mile HEMI.
They keep the same sound. The reason these sound better than your old 200k mile truck is that these have a totally different & superior engine. Lol
Shit! Mine still sounds good at 200k+. Only difference is, it's a 5.2, not a 6.2!😄😈..YET!
White car tips aren’t centered in the opening 🤮
No they dont
Yes they do
@@donniedillard5257Bro is tone deaf. Type of dude that runs no resonator, cat, nothing on some shitbox truck. Lol
