It's great to see a full review of the Buick Lucerne from MotorWeek here on RUclips. Even though I'm almost thirty I love not only the Buick Lucerne; but also the LeSabre (2000-2005,) Century (1997-2005,) Regal (1997-2005 and the generation from the early 2010s,) LaCrosse (2005-2013,) the late 90s Riviera, the Rainer, the Rendezvous and even the Cascada.
You know what’s funny? Davis frequently mentioned the Lucerne’s body roll when pushed to handle well and he also talked about the average braking capacity that has the car dip sharply when the binders are hit hard, yet virtually the whole video shows the elegant and poised Lucerne 0:05 negotiating either country roads or sidestepping cones 😅 0:05
Not back then, and in a car, that HP is fine. Torque is more important as we have speed limits in this country and we wouldn’t be able to use all of that HP anyway.
@@FlowmasterStang The V8 in those cars had 292hp not 275. Also it’s also a luxury car not meant to be a hot rod or win any races bro. it’s a smaller V8 that wasn’t designed to win any races.
The very last breath of Oldsmobile, the FWD G platform. Damn fine cars

I have an ‘06 CXS - love the torque. One of the most comfortable cars I have owned.
I have a 06 Lucerne cxl with 119k on it, only had it for over 3 months now, im enjoying it with no issues
I have a 2008 CXL with same mileage and it trully runs like a charm!
Didn’t know this had a 4.6! I thought this had the 5.3 from the Buick lacrosse super lol
One of Buicks best cars, these babies were bullet proof now Buick just makes ugly looking crossovers even their new badge is ugly
these would’ve been a great rwd car.. this would’ve been the Lincoln town car of its time
I HAVE 1
I'm from the future and I'm here to tell you these cars will Have one of the worst automatic transmissions on the market and it will fail.
You a little too late for that
That GM 4 speed automatic was bullet proof, what are you talking about??? Maybe you should stay in the future and not comment.
Stick with the venerable 3.8
Wrongo!
Wrongo! Have two with over 110k miles with the original tranny. Both work fine.
4 speed automatic transmission in 2006? That's like ancient.
275hp is worthless for a V8

If your car doesn't have at least 100000hp from a 0.3L inline 2, its worthless and slow.
@@Andrew-bb3lc Alright i’m just saying 275hp from a V8 in 2006 is underwhelming. A nissan altima in 2006 made 270hp from a V6.
