You are getting the Rocky start just with less boxing experience before we met the fighter. On the plus side, no mini-games but that may change in the future. On the downside, you start out as a "bum" as Rocky's old trainer used to say.
Lol Undisputed needs more animations. There's no reason you should have to come back to the center line to counter after slipping a punch. Offense needs to be incorporated into the defense.

Would be nice if they could have fighters wearing proper amateur gear for the am tournament! Blue Vs Red headguards, gloves and shorts. It would just give the whole thing that little bit more realism. Game is looking pretty nice so far though. People need to learn that if you support the devs and realise that they are fans of Boxing and making a Boxing game because they love it, the money they make will help to go towards making this game better and also making a future sequel to this title. It might seem like it's not good enough yet or that EA could just throw something together in an instant, but at least this Dev team cares about making a quality Boxing game, with features that we all want to see and a good level of realism. If you don't support them then how can they grow and make changes?

Martial you gotta learn to counter. My favourite counters are when you bait your opponent to throw, step just out of range so he misses then quickly throw a body jab which will stun him. Then go for the head combo
From what I've seen over the months fight night champion gameplay destroys this game but I'm still excited for a new boxing game despite I can tell I will be getting motion sickness from the movement
The sound effects are really good, I like how you can hear the out breath when they punch just like in the "corona fights" and the realistic punch hits. The graphics are also pleasing to the eyes, but good God is the animations sluggish. It looks like they are fighting with a backpack full of weights. One thing I dislike about new fighting games is the input lag and generally just unresponsive controls. Game developers focus more on impressive graphics than fluid controls.
@Martial Mind The AI is getting better I see😮. When your throwing the left hook manage your distance. The closer you are the more likely he'll theow that nasty looking hook you dislike lol. A little distance and timing he'll deliver 90 percent of the time.
At the start they should give you options of "styles" or as they each have pros and cons like speed, power, movement althetism, or heavy offense but bad defense or vice versa. Or have a bunch of them. Or give you an option where you get a primary skill/specialty (get above average compared to starting stats), a secondary speciality (slight boost) but each for primary and secondary have trade offs and a third specialty that can give a small boost to maybe counter act the some trade offs or to boost what you're already good at. Adds a lot of customization and can make replaying it feel fresh for the beginning
I think the slowness is more for players to get used to the movement. Less realistic, but better for people who haven't played fighting games and need to learn how to dodge and block.
My wife has given birth to 2 children since I’ve watched the initial footwork / gameplay trailers. This is getting ridiculous at this point. I’m at the point where I’m going to be too busy to even play this game by the time they finally release it. There’s a good chance I won’t be purchasing it if they don’t release it very soon.. they’ve taken a lot of interest away from the game, just by making everyone wait too long for a console release. Many of us don’t have desktop pc’s. We just want to play the game at this point…

I don’t think that the game will have normal online, yes, the game has much better animation of boxers’ movements and footwork than EA UFС, but everything else is either worse or completely absent... if they want to create a product that competes with the UFС, then they need to work on the game for another 2-3 years. if the studio expects income and normal online from this release, then most likely this will not happen. Do you think the continuation of work on this game depends on profits and online after this release this year?
I swear I box regularly for 3 years. In my club which is absolutely casual people, the weakest person would destroy those boxers, it makes absolute no sense.
Is this on PS5, I’m playing on UFC 5 at minute and enjoying it, but always nice to play different games and we haven’t a decent boxing game on PlayStation for quite a while now
Great video but I would definitely say you could use body punches sometimes. That will help mix up your punch selection and open up more combos for you.
Just watching the first fight on this and listening to you saying about the slow movements and that. They’re making fools out of amateur boxers as they can be precise, sharp, fast, powerful etc. Granted they may take a while to make it to the level of being a pro fighter but the arts practiced and they aren’t moving like that. Same time I’ll buy this game when it hits the ps5. I am really looking forward to playing a boxing game. First ever one for me was fight night round 4 loved it so much I went and bought round 3 then got champion when it come out and champion was a let down no real boxing technique in the game. Undisputed has potential.. I’ve been waiting that long and I’m that fed up with the ufc franchise I was considering using an emulator to play fight night 2004 as I seen a few clips of it and boxing games look like they’ve really took a turn for the worse from then. You also said you can’t throw proper combinations maybe this could be to using Canelos style early on. He is a better counter puncher after all.
No game does career mode right. Mike Tyson had power & speed from day 1. Abilities like that should be a given at the start & maybe you refine your punches style & defense over time. Instead, every game has you start out with no speed, power, or chin.
What they really should do is have you first sign a coach and have you do some basic skill training and after you complete your basic skill training then the coach will enter you into a tournament where the dialogue could be “training is one thing and a must but to really see your skill level let’s see how you fight” this would allow the career mode to have a better feel then oh hey you’re a fighter well let’s join this tournament and see how you are no one just enters into a fight without any training well very rarely
became undisputed in 3 days, in undisputed difficulty, but seems so easy yet I had 53 wins, 51 knock outs with 3 loss LOL, but still hoping for some improvements soon in all aspects.
