Fantastic game well done Robin you play smart that's what happens when you Mess With The Crusaders can't wait to the third one comes up brilliant👍👍👍🏆🤠🤠
Interesting battle report, it was a bit "different" but in a good way. The crusaders had "everything" (made my day) and they also had blue dice that were on fire. Definitely a good day for the crusaders.
Great Game Gents and well played Robin! definitely closed Martin's Seljuk Light Cavalry down. As ever lovely looking table and armies. Many Thanks Gents 👍
Absolutely outstanding. I enjoy the way you deliver battle reports better than any other broadcaster. I think I might as much fun watching as you both obviously have playing. Robin's luck was certainly in this time. Keep 'em coming. I'm very glad you can be bothered doing these.
A great game to start the year off. Well done Robin on an excellent win and finally learning crusader tactics during this war. Endure the arrow! Push the field! And Mount and Charge! And as seen, the infantry endured what they needed too and if there was enemy infantry getting stuck in nicely with them would have been to your favour against enemy cavalry. And Your heavy cavalry knights. You learned not to chase a fleeing enemy but as the crusaders learned to use them as the hammer. The enemy are but weak archers and spearmen, be free to put your heavy lances and armour to work - and in this case, stubborn and tough fighters.
Thanks so much for watching and taking her time to comment. We had a great game, Robins definitely got his tactics dialled in, I'm back to the drawing board, but the Seljuks will be back 😁
Loving this campaign! I’m sure you get asked a lot, but what do you use for the battle mat? It molds to your hills perfectly. Really adds to the depth of tabletop!
Hi there, so glad you enjoyed it. I intend to release the pack of stuff after the next game, as soon as that's done I'll upload it all to Google drive and people can just access it there 😁👍
Great Game guys, I thought Robin was going to get shot to pieces at first but bad dice vs good dice win every time. I agree, the heavy's should not chase around the light troops. It gives up their strength. Can't wait for the next battle.
Fantastic game guys. I really the work you both put in to making entertaining, easy-to-follow content. Was a bit rough for the Seljuks😂 hopefully, the next game will be more even. Keep up the great work.
Nice game Martin love the set up too. Ps remember sweeping advance only happens if the unit is destroyed, if not and retreats it’s a follow up move. So you even made it harder for yourself and your cavalry against the crusader heavy cavalry 😉
You're completely right, must remember that in the future 👍 don't think it would have made much difference this time, not with those saves he was rolling 😅
Great game, good to see you have got off to a good start for the new year. Robins troops and basing looks great. Your troops look great. So unfair blaming Robin for the delays in your campaign. And he uses sensible bases.
Glad you liked it mate, that's true I shouldn't blame him for not making the river, I should increase his terrain working hours instead 😁 Nout wrong with those bases, they work perfectly well and don't suffer the horrible warpage I see on alot of the straight edged die hards 😉 also, I like Simon at BRB 😁
Good video! I love to see how the campaign runs. By the way, can I ask you about your table arrangement? Do you use a table topper of some sort or just a big table?
Great video once again, really look forward to these. Just a note: I think the Seljuk aftermath roll should have been a -4 total modifier, not -3, because the penalty for a dead commander is shown on the chart as -2, not -1 (that's for wounded commanders).
It's an absolute corker of a game. Well played, guys. Martins quotes of the game: "That's the biggest battle line we've ever had on the channel!" A couple of turns later: "B@//@
At last ! ;) Great game ! Was very impatient to watch your next crusade video. I'm starting a crusade project of my own and you're very inspiring ! Can't wait for the next battle report and the next video showing your new units! Keep up your great work!
I think they should be rolling random movement, on order rolls -4, only turn up to the battle on a 6 and have to take break tests every time they receive an order.... 😅👀
I think lances should only get one use in each combat and not if the cavalry then follow through in the same round. If the cavalry are stationary and not in combat for a round its feasible that squires could replenish them as they did carry spares.
Yeah we do something similar in the WOTR, we put a couple of counters on the unit representing blown horses and broken lances, once they are gone they can charge again 👍
Fantastic game well done Robin you play smart that's what happens when you Mess With The Crusaders can't wait to the third one comes up brilliant👍👍👍🏆🤠🤠
Haha this is very true, glad you enjoyed it 👍
Robin's break test saves were crazy good all game, consistent 5's and 6's kept the crusaders going
Tell me about it 😅😁
Another great game. Hugely enjoyable to watch. Thanks for putting it on the channel and very much appreciate the amount of work that it takes.
You're very welcome, thanks for watching and taking the time to comment 👍😁

Haha I got brutalised in this game. Always fun playing these 👍

Thanks for watching, we are just tweaking a few things then it'll be ready to post - the rules i mean
Great Game Gents and well played Robin! definitely closed Martin's Seljuk Light Cavalry down. As ever lovely looking table and armies. Many Thanks Gents 👍
Thanks buddy, really pleased you enjoyed it 😁
Great way to start off 2024. Really enjoying the extra narrative rules, I like following these commanders through their careers!
My guys careers have been cut rather short 😅 hope you're keeping well mate

Thanks so much 😁👍 really pleased you enjoyed it. I just try to film and play them the way I would like to watch them 👍

Thoroughly enjoyed watching this, took me right back to my wargaming days as a youngster.
Thank you, really glad you enjoyed it 👍
Great game. Robin was ace with his dice throws looking forward to the next one 😊
They were unbelievable 😅
Will we see another one of these in the near future? Love the setting.
Absolutely, we have a date, Robin has been busy making a river for it 😁
Sweet, can't wait
Robin didn't like the "be-zan-teens" sound but you embraced it 😅! Great battle report on one of my favourite battle eras!
Glad you enjoyed it! 😁
Loving this campaign! I’m sure you get asked a lot, but what do you use for the battle mat? It molds to your hills perfectly. Really adds to the depth of tabletop!
Really pleased you are enjoying it. It's been great fun to plan and play 👍 the mat is from Geek Villain geekvillain.co.uk/
This campaign has been class to watch. Will you be sharing the pack soon? Looking to run something similar with Pike and Shotte
Hi there, so glad you enjoyed it. I intend to release the pack of stuff after the next game, as soon as that's done I'll upload it all to Google drive and people can just access it there 😁👍
@@7thson726 Amazing! Got my Montrose force nearly ready for kicking it off soon. Looking forward to reading it

We really appreciate that, really glad you enjoyed the game 👍😁
Fantastic game, a joy to watch the figures and table terrain. Armour really made a difference here.
It really does, I'm off to the drawing board 😁
This campaign is a blood bath! Great job to both of you!
Haha very much so 😅⚔️ thanks for watching
Really enjoying this series! Can’t wait to see the full campaign rules
I'll try and have them linked after the next game 👍

"Do you want some of my tent models and start pressing some wine"...... awesome. pure class that. great game
😁
Really ejoyable, thank you!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it 😁

Also looks like Robin got all his good dice rolls for a year in this game 😂
He absolutely did 😅
Good video! I love to see how the campaign runs.
By the way, can I ask you about your table arrangement? Do you use a table topper of some sort or just a big table?
Thanks, I use three 2 foot by 4 foot boards as a topper 👍
I look forward to every new video.
That's awesome 😁 thanks so much, really appreciate it. Got plenty more planned and in the works 👍

Well spotted 😁 glad you enjoyed the game, we had a great time
Great game guys ... Excellent table and miniatures ..
Thanks, was great fun to play 👍

Haha yes, well, we'll see won't we 😅 it certainly looked the part 😁
loved this game ,well done robin .
Thanks for watching 👍
Thank you - enjoyed watching.
Glad you liked it 👍😁
Really enjoy following this campaign!
Thanks, we're enjoying playing it 👍
What a game, feel sorry for the Seljuks today!
Haha, they did take a beating to remember didn't they 😅 hope you're well mate
Well edited, interesting and fun game!
Thanks so much mate 👍
At last ! ;) Great game ! Was very impatient to watch your next crusade video. I'm starting a crusade project of my own and you're very inspiring ! Can't wait for the next battle report and the next video showing your new units! Keep up your great work!
That's awesome, thanks so much. We're looking forward to the next one, got some fun plans 👍
A pleasure to watch gents!
Thanks so much 😁
Tough for the Seljuks to cope with the knights. I wonder if you should use your blown rule from WOTR? Fun game though
I think they should be rolling random movement, on order rolls -4, only turn up to the battle on a 6 and have to take break tests every time they receive an order.... 😅👀
Love the Campaign! Very interesting. Love the Map too. Sorry if you already mentioned it but what software did you use for the Campaign Map?
Thanks very much, the maps are great fun to put together. I'm using Inkarnate 👍
Pretty cool game the board looks fantastic
Thanks 👍
Well done, most enjoyable 👍
Cheers buddy 👍
